Not great service. Once we got our food it was like they didn't know we were there. Never came around to see if we needed anything. Then they "accidently" added $40 worth of cocktails to the bill.

Our entire experience was amazing and Rosario was a delight. The sea bass was very tasty, as was the lobster ravioli. We will definitely be back.

We ate in the "new" building next door to the regular restaurant, no problem. I ordered one of the day's specials, Caccio e Pepe, which I know how it's supposed to be prepared, have cooked it properly, and have had it both in the US and Italy, so I knew what to expect. First, the dish showed up barely warm (cool to the touch and no steam); my wife's pasta was hot and steamy. The manager was nearby and he saw me turn and motion him, and I told him it was barely warm, please re-fire it. Ten minutes later it showed up and was hot but this is NOT caccio e pepe. It was in a pool of slowly separating butter and cream and melted parmesan cheese. This was exactly what fettucine alfredo is, so this was disappointing. I just told myself that I ordered fettucine alfredo and ate dinner with that in mind. My wife's Strozzapreti was great, Mamma's Meatballs were great, and the Zeppelline dessert was large enough for two and was very good. Overall, everything was very good except that they don't appear to know how to make a true Caccio e pepe.

Great location on a summer night. We sat at the patio, which is wonderful place to be in the summer. The food was just OK. Nothing really to write home about. I had the lasagne, which was pretty basic. My date got pasta with a cheese sauce. I had to get the chili oil to spice mine up a bit. It would have been much better with spicy sausage. The one star for service is that even though we a 7PM reservations, we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. The waiter did bring us a dessert to make up for the tardiness. But, we couldn't have it because of food allergies. I'd much rather have had them picked the tab for the cocktails we had while waiting for our seat.

The pasta was good, but a party member had the chicken picata, which was cold and dry. The breading was slimy, and the vegetables mushy. I know it is danville but I thought the prices were a high for the quality, or lack there of. I also had a beer that only filled 2/3 of the glass.

We love Locanda! We were celebrating a graduation and running late and they were very nice and helpful! This is a great authentic spot with a nice atmosphere and people!
