Situé dans l'historique Boyd Hotel, le Local propose un menu haut de gamme américain moderne. La cuisine évolue avec les saisons, est épurée et est exécutée avec précision. Le restaurant utilise des ingrédients les plus frais et de la plus haute qualité, comme les viandes du Niman Ranch et des fruits de mer Connolly à Boston. Le Local prépare entièrement sur place les pains qui accompagnent la plupart des plats, de même que tous les desserts, y compris les sorbets et les glaces. Not sure where to begin. No atmosphere, no service, nothing special about the food. One of the worst “nice” restaurants in Dallas. Prices way too high for the quality of food and service. Open table should take them off their list.

OMG I love Local. The chef has been there since it opened. She always comes by your table to greet you. The service is exquisite. The food even better. and, did I tell you that the renovated space is designed in a simple and sophisticated style. I say go eat at Local!

Food was underwhelming, overly salty, and skimpy. Ambiance was like someone visited a hip, high-end restaurant and then described what it was like to his brother-in-law who is a part-time set designer. Also, they don’t have liquor, so those $17 cocktails are watered-down wine. So many better options out there. Best part of the night was deciding NOT to do tasting menu.

I went here with my girlfriend for more of a fancy, dress-up-like date. The ambiance and vibe in the restaurant was very nice. They had dim lights with candles on every table. When we went on 4/20/24, at around 5:45, there was no one else in the restaurant and it added to the romance. I mentioned parking being very expensive ($24) to who I assume was the manager and he was kind enough to subtract it from the total at the end of our meal. Food wise, I got the scallops and they were very very tasty but they were not nearly filling enough for $50. I will say, the ambiance of the place made the prices more worth and it. I’m not someone who really goes to fancier restaurants often, but this was a nice experience. I probably would not come back to this place just for the worry that parking wasn’t covered by whoever was working the next time I went, and it takes quite a bit to fill me up and I’d like to go somewhere to get more bang for my buck! Overall, if you’re looking for a nice romantic night in Dallas, the atmosphere of this place will do the trick.

Everything was perfect. Our server took excellent care of us, and the food was an experience. This Local is truly a hidden gem. We will be back!

We have been enjoying this restaurant for nearly 24 years. It is a gem in Deep Ellum. The food is amazing!
