Le Lindey's a été élu meilleur restaurant de Columbus de 2010 à 2015. Restaurant réputé à Columbus depuis maintenant 32 ans, le Lindey's a fait la critique du Washington Post, du USA Today, du New York Times, du Gourmet Magazine et du livre « As the Tables Turn » par Sue Doody et Michael Rosen. Le Lindey's est un restaurant animé servant une fine cuisine américaine dans une ambiance style bistro new-yorkais de l'Upper East Side. Lindey’s really missed the mark last night. So loud in there we felt like we were at Chucky Cheese and we could not get out fast enough. To make matters worse, my husband was given the wrong entree (a fish entree when he ordered steak). Once his steak was delivered my salmon had to go because under a fabulous pan seared crust it was truly raw. At that point, you can either eat separately or the husband eats a cool steak once my entree is corrected. We could live with those two errors b/c accidents happen. And a waiter offered a soup while I waited (which I declined tho I appreciated the offer). But what ruined the night was where we were seated. Along with a few other couples we were seated near a group of 7 in the narrow middle room. Fair enough. About a half-hour later a group of 8 was added to the same room. The two tables competed with each other to hear their companions. One older woman literally got up and asked the others to please pipe down. No one was misbehaving!! Just very poor placement of 2 large groups!! The restaurant was not packed. But the couples in this room literally could not hear each other for the second half of their evening. Nice touch to bring a toasting pour of sparkling wine to folks celebrating an anniversary. But even better — don’t seat them in your large group area. When I asked to have most of my entree boxed up, the waiter said “Feel free to linger.” But l why would we??? It felt like Chucky Cheese in there and we didn’t have any toddlers with us. May still hit the bar area for and drinks and apps, but can’t imagine planning dinner here any time soon.

Service was great but food was just okay. Steak was overcooked and fries were just plain shoestring fries that were also overcooked. Crab cakes were good as was dessert.

What an amazing experience we had date night here and when I say this is the perfect place for a romantic date night ambience wow we sat outside next to the water fountain. The food was delicious. The service was amazing and the vibes was Vibin. Recommend if you’re coming to Columbus!! ❤️🥰👏🏾🙃

Food was amazing and our server was excellent. Wish there was an option to make an outdoor reservation but it’s first come first serve, even with a reservation

Lindey's always impresses. Professional staff and quality food. Aidan was the name of our server. He did a great job of taking care us last evening.

Iconic restaurant I visit every time I’m in Columbus. Great food and service. The outdoor patio is beautiful and a great place for a relaxing lunch.

We made reservations a week or so in advance, noting that it was our 30th wedding anniversary. The restaurant was not at all busy inside, yet we were seated at a table that was directly in the path of traffic. I was bumped in the back several times by people walking by without anyone ever saying anything. We didn't request another table as we felt this would be bad manners, and perhaps other tables were reserved, but we found it strange that we were seated in such an awkward spot. Our waitress was fine and polite, but we needed to ask for water and a new table light, as ours went out. Our first course was served, but they forgot to bring plates, so we needed to ask for plates and silverware. The food was adequate, but nothing outstanding. We were checked on once in passing, but nothing extra was offered (bread, wine, water etc.) throughout the course of our experience. Our overall experience was just okay- I'd say 7/10. Everyone raves about Lindey's, and we thought it would be a great treat for our 30th anniversary, but I doubt we'll be back. It felt really meh. Perhaps we ordered the wrong entrees. Too many nice restaurants to choose from in Columbus.
