Although I ordered the filet mignon, I received the ribeye. It had an excessive amount of fat , which made it difficult to eat. I asked why I received a different steak and the server provided an explanation that made it seem like I made a mistake when ordering and i did not understand what i did. I was not feeling well and didn't argue the issue. But my companions all agreed that I had ordered the filet. My son ordered a steak dish medium rare and one slice was rare and the second was well done. The server did provide him two new pieces of correctly cooked meat, and he was quite satisfied. The experience was not horrible but I was not thrilled with my entree at all. It will be awhile before I want to go back again. Disappointing to say the least.

We had a phenomenal brunch! The meal was outstanding and we were privileged to have a Haitian special- Freedom soup! Amazing! I would add it to the menu and donate proceeds to Haitian relief.

Fabulous wait staff and low-key, courteous clientele. Very cozy, comfortable ambience. Slightly pricey, but well worth the expense for the menu offerings. Suggested wine pairings is a nice touch.

Once again, a wonderful dining experience at Le Voltaire. Food and wine selections were first rate, service met our expectations for a fine dining establishment. Chef Wilson came out toward the end of our meal to check on us, we had a delightful conversation with him. He has such passion for what he is doing. Looking forward to our next visit!

Even though the best server in town, Lisa, was not there, she had instructed others of my "automatic" orders for drinks and appetizer. As always, the staff was superb. The escargot was even more tender than usual. We each ordered the sea bass in paper special than was superb with a large portion of delicious fish and shrimp and mussels. We split the always rich and yummy chocolate mousse for dessert. Another most enjoyable dinner again.

My wife and I have eaten at La Voltaire many times. The food last night was great as always. Our server was not only professional but very polite and knowledgeable. We definitely plan to go back again.

Wow! What a great experience. We have loved Le Voltaire for years and we’re a bit apprehensive when the new chief/ owner took over. This was waisted anxiety. The soup of the day was the best that I’ve ever tasted. I don’t know the name but it was awesome. My dinner ( a seafood stew, the name is French .. don’t judge me) was likewise exceptional. So many layers of flavor. The service as excellent ( thanks Sean) and he gets extra credit for not laughing at my poor French. In all, an excellent dining experience.

We had a new server that had not been properly trained. She took our orders but did not bring us what we ordered. The food was not as good as it usually is. The French Onion Soup did not have cheese on it. The Escargot was excellent. They tried to bring a wine that was to our liking and finally did. Overall, this experience was not up to par.

Our waitress was out standing last night. I had the coq a van (sp?) and my daughter had the steak. Both were absolutely excellent. The appetizer of bruschetta was amazing and chocolate mousse for dessert! :-) It was a great experience

We have eaten at Le Voltaire several times. The food is always good and was again this visit. The foie gras frais was mouth watering. We would probably eat there more often but the menu is always the same. My wife did order the special - the Peruvian pheasant which was very good. The ambience isn’t the best as tables are so close to each other. It’s hard not to hear the conversation next to you. This night in particular we were seated next to the bar and we heard bar noise and employee conversations all evening which did distract from our night out. The food is worth the price, the ambiance is not.

LeVoltaire is one of our favorite restaurants. My filet was grilled perfectly, medium rare, and the seafood special was delicious. Their escargot with cheese is one of the best in town. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Lisa, our server, was personable, knowledgeable, and timed our courses so we were not hurried. Our beverages were served in a timely manner. The atmosphere is more intimate than many of the restaurants in Omaha. LeVoltaire has a varied menu with many entrees you won’t find on other menus.

Our adult kids treated us to dinner for herself's birthday. Although it was almost a full house over Valentine's weekend, Lisa made certain the service continued to be superb. She again made me a perfect "Lisatini" along with an odd cocktail for my son. The escargot were hot and bubbly with butter as usual -- great for dipping the French bread. All four of us enjoyed great entrees and chocolate mousses for dessert.

While Nebraska is known for its steak restaurants, the best restaurant is actually Le Voltaire. Without a doubt, it was the best, cleanest, and most wholesome meal that my spouse and I have had in Omaha. I HIGHLY recommend, and their wine list is pretty good, too.

It was her "xx"th birthday. When we arrived, Lisa had a large tulip on the table. (Lisa was off work this evening.) In her stead, Angie gave the superb service one expects at Le Voltaire. My regular appetizer, escargot, was delicious as usual as was the lamb shank entree.. She had the shrimp and scallop pasta special which was excellent. For dessert, we shared a chocolate mousse, always rich and tasty. Angie informed us that Lisa was providing the dessert!!! While we arrived early, by the time dessert came, all seats were taken in the main dining room. reservations are essential. We wil return soon.

Always a delight and superb dinning experience. Lisa‘s service makes the evening perfect. She has been our server for at least 20 years. Having been in France many times, Le Voltaire out does some of the finest we’ve eaten at in Paris. What a unique place.
