Restaurants near Sudhafen

We went there on a friday night for the second service and got seated right at the counter (as requested) with a direct view of the busy chefs preparing some of the meals from the menu. Although there is no set menu for 2 people, we asked oir waiter Julian about our options and he suggested to put together an “omakase” menu for us after having asked about intolerences, meal preferences, meat and/or fish options, etc. Julian, our main waiter, was very laidback but still highly professional and knowledgeable, he treated us perfectly. All the other members of the staff where also very friendly. Finally, the white “house wine”, Mr. Duc’s Funky Fish Edition Riesling, deserves a special mention, as it paired our menu perfectly. Our dinner (cocktails, meals, one bottle of wine and water) came out to +- 300€ for two people, so yes, it is on the pricier side but all worth the money! We will definitely be back!

The ambience was incredible. The perfect setting for a night of intimate fine dining. The staff was fully competent and wonderfully attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and excellently prepared. We both had the 4 course meal with wine pairing. We both found the wine pairings to be extraordinarily well done. As is to be expected with a multi-course meal, the portions were smaller than they would have been on the a-la-carte menu. Nevertheless, I felt they were still a bit on the small side.

A very nice evening with excellent service and a Wiener schnitzel as you expect it. Nice to sit outside!
