Come dine in this beautifully restored Uptown restaurant on Magazine Street and enjoy James Beard Award Winning Chef Justin Devillier's contemporary Louisiana Cuisine. The La Petite Grocery name pays homage to the history of its home, a building that’s stood for more than a century. The original structure was built in the late 1800s and called the Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot. In 1908, a fire devastated the space and it was transformed into a full service grocery store. Later it was most notably a fine foods and butcher shop, VonderHaar’s Fine Foods until 1982. When La Petite Grocery opened in March of 2004, they similarly aspired to provide the neighborhood with exotic teas, locally roasted coffee, and fresh produce. By doing this, we hope to provide a dining experience that evokes nostalgia of old New Orleans. Reservations are preferred.

Food is always excellent! Must get the barbecue shrimp! Our server Keirsten was attentive without being overbearing. She was great! We had a party of 8 and they easily accommodated us. There’s a reason Mr. B’s is a New Orleans staple and one of our favorite restaurants!

We had to return to Antoine’s for the fabulous Spring Lunch Special. We are so glad that Antoine’s has revived this iconic tradition. For $25 we enjoyed a 3 course gourmet Soft Shell Crab lunch with asparagus and onion rice. I started with the tasty Cream of Asparagus Soup. My daughter and husband chose the delicious Salad to start. We all loved the luscious Bread Pudding . The Bordeaux was also a Special , and the Cocktails( a Vieux Carre’ and a La Vie en Rose’ were perfect, as was the Mocktail Midnight in Paris( with Rosebuds- beautiful!) . The service is elegant with great warmth. Lovely Latesha and handsome Damon added charm to our time in this historic icon of restaurants( our favorite in the world!). We plan to come back with more guests. The best value in town!

This is a must try if you have an opportunity to dine in New Orleans. The service was impeccable, from the moment we hit the restaurant, my wife and I were treated like royalty, the hostess gave us wonderful advice on our meals, I had the Blackened Red Fish (absolutely delicious), and my wife had the fillet, both cooked to perfection. Emily our server was especially welcoming, her knowledge of the menu, and history of the restaurant gave us more than the wonderful meal. We finished with the Bananas fosters table side, which was both equally entertaining and delicious. Thank you, Brennan’s for making my first meal in New Orleans unforgettable.

GW Fins is a restaurant that never disappoints. Everyone we encountered was very professional, but friendly and attentive. Our table was next to one of the many windows fronting the street. I always like to be where the outside comes into a dining room. The food delicious, as it always is, and time between courses was perfect. We were there to celebrate our anniversary, and the staff let us know several times that they knew. In New Orleans where great dining experiences can be had, GW Fins is truly one of the best. Thank you for a memorable dining experience.
