Ce restaurant rustique, qui est aussi une épicerie et une charcuterie, est situé dans le quartier des entrepôts (West Loop). Il offre une salle à manger spacieuse avec des poutres en bois, des briques apparentes et deux fours à bois. Le menu propose beaucoup de pizzas à croûte mince et des linguine aux fruits de mer dans une sauce aux tomates cerises épicée. L'épicerie-charcuterie située à l'avant du Macello tient des salaisons, des fromages et des aliments des Pouilles, le «talon» de l'Italie. Le mot «macello» désigne un abattoir. Le bâtiment abritait en effet un abattoir dans les années 1920.
