If you've never heard of Claim Jumper Steakhouse & Bar, you're not alone. This establishment is a West Coast chain restaurant spanning only five states. Coincidentally, by definition, a claim jumper is "a person who seizes another's claim. The vibe evokes the inspiration of Western-themed environs inside a hunting lounge with heavy wood, antler chandeliers, and stoned walls. We decided on 7-ounce top sirloin, Atlantic Grilled Salmon, Steak & Shrimps, Cup of Potato Soup, and the Salad Bar. Complimentary bread started our meal. The food was full of flavor, savory, and delicious. The portions were decent. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The price was comparable to the area. This is one of the restaurants you will want to stop at if you are passing through San Bernardino, and we can recommend this place.

I recently visited The Cutting Board restaurant at the Doubletree in San Bernardino for a casual dinner with my mom. We were in the mood for something light, with a couple of cocktails, so we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Jose Luis was our server. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. The charcuterie board was a highlight, featuring a well-balanced selection of cured meats and cheeses. The charred Brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly, offering a nice combination of flavors. The honey chipotle wings had a delightful sweet and spicy kick that kept us coming back for more. For cocktails, my mom had a Paloma, which she said was refreshing and had just the right amount of tartness. I opted for a spritz, which was light and bubbly—a perfect complement to our food. Overall, we had a great time at The Cutting Board. The combination of tasty food, well-made drinks, and a comfortable setting made it a memorable evening. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back dining experience with a touch of sophistication.
