I love when a restaurant lives up to the hype. Food was seasoned to perfection, staff was so friendly.. the only thing I didn’t like is that the hostess let us know before we were seated that we had 1.5 hrs on our reservation…it kind of set an awkward tone. If the service is fast which it was, there is no need to advise of a time limit. That would be my only critique of our wonderful experience at Sexy Steak.

We continue to have a wonderful dining experience. The food is always very good but the service, the staff who wait on us, make our experience. Hats off to them for the attention, helpfulness, and friendliness !

Appetizers and drinks were outstanding - pineapple margaritas and short rib queso along with guacamole were excellent. Tacos were mediocre comparatively. Good ambiance; picnic tables as seating added a nice esthetic. Service was exceptional. Didn’t realize it was a chain restaurant.

Zuzu is a must visit! We celebrated my birthday here and let me tell you that we all had the time of our life. The host was so accommodating with our large group. We were offered inside our outside. Michigan weather you must take advantage of the beautiful days so we chose the patio. It was absolutely gorgeous out there. The large green booths with flowers and cherry blossom trees that light up were a beautiful touch. Our server was Randy. He never missed a step in service. He suggested the large format cocktail called Sei Less. The presentation on it was so adorable. It came out in a red dragon that smoked out of his mouth. For entrees Randy suggested more of a family style since we had a larger group. This was amazing as we tried different dishes that they offered. We had the pepper steak, garlic tofu and mushrooms, yaki noodle, and the seabass. All the dishes came out hot and extremley fresh. The portions were just enough for all of us. But let me tell you the Seabass was the best any of us have had. The manager touched the table and she thanked us for choosing Zuzu to celebrate my birthday. We ordered the celebration cake for dessert. The entire staff came over with sparklers, a huge light up cake and made sure I felt special. The whole patio even started clapping. What an experience!!! Great job zuzu staff.

It was our first time at the Statler and we really enjoyed coming. We don't come to Detroit very often but I chose the Statler for the reviews and it's menu. We just returned from a trip to France this past year and I wanted to relived it just a little for Mother Day. I was a little disappointed in the escargot but every else was fabulous.
