With over 20 years of cooking experience, Chef Matt Garcia brings a new dining experience to Tuolumne County. Classically trained at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in San Francisco, Chef Matt has worked with some of the Bay Area's top chefs. As a young chef he was nominated as 7x7 Rising Star Chef, creating beautiful dishes that showcase the freshness of the ingredients and their bright, natural flavor and he continues to do so. The Branch is a place where we come together, not only to simply eat but to experience the joy, the emotion that his food brings about.We believe food should create a memory, an emotion, and Chef Matt is able to capture this concept beautifully all within a laid back, fun atmosphere (no white table cloths here!) Located under the Twain Harte arch, our casual environment allows you to enjoy yourself with a glass of wine, beer or sparkling in hand. Black Sheep Winery introduced Rhone varietals to Calaveras County Foothills and have been recognized for our award-winning wines, year after year. Serving up a wide variety of white and red wines from Chardonnay, Cinsaut, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a Port-style dessert wine in our historic little yellow farmhouse on Main Street. We do charge a $10.00 tasting fee per person and is waived with each bottle purchased.

Since we opened this camp 25 years ago, we have focused upon fresh foods for our guests. We know it is difficult to find good meals on the road, especially if you are vegan and vegetarian, and invite you to join us.You will smell the foods before you walk in, but will see entree's like baby back pork ribs, samosas, ribeye steaks, moussaka, vegan ramen and steamed saffron mussels through our open kitchen. We make easy to assemble fresh bag lunches for the trail, and specialty lunch items for indoor and outdoor dining. Beside items like American breakfast and breakfast burritos you will find signature items like our California breakfast too! All this from fresh, mainly regional sourced, sustainable and some organic healthy foodstuffs. We invite you to peek into some online reviews in advance. Our breakfast and lunch menus rarely change, however our limited dinner menu does change nightly. This restaurant is family style dining. Accessible restroom, parking and ramp to Cafe.
