Abruzzo Italian Kitchen opened in December 2017. As is the Italian tradition, our focus is on the quality of our ingredients and simplicity of preparation. We cook by hand, from scratch, including all of our fresh pastas and wood fired pizzas. In addition to the Italian staples, we offer an extensive shared plates selection, grilled steaks, fresh seafood, and a small but decadent dessert list, all prepared in-house and served alongside an Italian-focused cocktail program and an Italian-centric wine list. Mike is a Sandpoint native and most recently served as Executive Chef at 41 South. Under his leadership, 41 South was consistently voted as one of the best restaurants in Sandpoint. Mike learned his craft at the Seattle Culinary Academy earning an Associates of Culinary Arts degree in 2008.
