In the mountains of North Georgia the Lake Rabun Hotel & Restaurant has been welcoming guests since 1922. Restored in 2008, the hotel and restaurant offer the best of rustic elegance. From the antique heart pine walls to the locust beams on our deck, expect unique, local craftsmanship. The decor is rich with period antiques, hand-woven rugs, and local artwork.

It features a creatively prepared and presented Contemporary American menu with a Southern twist in the farm to table tradition. Fresh produce locally grown is hand selected and prepared by our Chef de Cuisine, whose entrees respect the natural flavors of high quality, humanely raised and locally harvested food. His kitchen produces cuisines from many regions including Classical French, Southern USA, and Mediterranean. Many guests describe the food at the Lake Rabun Hotel as "the best in the mountains."

We have eaten here many times over the last decade, and I must say that my dinner last night was one of the best ever! The current chef is doing a great job bringing some new options to the menu, and the salmon I had last night was amazing--perfectly cooked with an innovative "crust" of feta and dill...which was not a crust at all, really...just a lovely thin layer of melted feta with some seasonings that was much more of a topping than a crust. Delicious!!! My dinner companion had a bison burger which he said was quite good. There were twice the previous number of salad options, and we tried a new one--all ingredients were fresh and wonderful. Our service was excellent also. If you have not been to Lake Rabun Hotel restaurant in awhile, come back and see what's new!

Our server Jesse was great, very charming and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. We had a party of four and all ordered cocktails, which were made perfectly. The dinner was delicious. We loved it and definitely will return soon.

We were very impressed with our visit to this restaurant. The food was delicious and the presentation was perfect. We had the most delightful waitress. Her name was Taylor! She was very professional but very friendly and had a great personality! We will definitely be back. We appreciate so much that this restaurant did not play loud music. Thank you!!

We ate here after getting married at Toccoa Falls. Our food was very good. I loved my salmon a bit more than my husband liked his trout but over all it was delicious. Our server was outstanding. She had a wonderful personality and was very attentive. I would definitely eat here again.

Nice location - pretty entry area. Interior is nice as well - although possibly needs dehumidifier to be turned on now that is is nearly summer. Seated on time - not crowded at all (even though it was Memorial Day weekend), which was nice. Service was good - taking one star off just because it was slightly below great. Same with the food - while very good, still a slight step below Excellent. Drinks - I only got an Americano which was decent, but the mimosa my companion got was totally underwhelming - that would be enough to take one star off all by itself. Overall - a decent experience, but I will try some of the other restaurants nearby next time I am in the area.

Great atmosphere, food was good service was a little slow but server had several tables. Server knew the menu well! Husband had beef tips for appetizer and I had corn chowder which were excellent! The bread and pesto spread were delicious. My mojito was perfect and the ice tea was excellent! My husband had the steak that was the special and he said it was perfect, I had the pasta of the day and it was good, I had a lobster tail added to my plate and it was cooked perfectly. The only complaint was that the server seemed a bit slow but she was thorough. My pasta was a bit salty, but I just returned from Italy and noticed the difference between pastas so I was a bit biased. We will definitely return. Wonderful evening and a great place to go for a quiet relaxing evening! I would highly recommend the restaurant.

Delightful porchlike setting in the trees with big windows all around. Excellent friendly service and thoughtfully prepared interesting dishes. I ate there two nights in a row and enjoyed the experience thoroughly.
