Lafayette est un restaurant français pour tous les jours, apportant du nouveau à la cuisine française dans le quartier NoHo du centre-ville de Manhattan. Ouvert le matin, midi et soir, ce grand café et la boulangerie sont dédiés au chef de cuisine de bistrot chef Andrew Carmellini dans un cadre intemporel. Notre salle à manger lumineuse dispose de hautes fenêtres archées donnant sur les rues de NoHo et sur le bar animé de la rôtissoire. Notre coin boulangerie-pâtisserie est ouvert toutes les heures offrant des pains artisanaux, croissants, boissons au café Stumptown, un petit déjeuner léger ou un déjeuner et une foule de friandises. Au cours des mois plus chaud, notre terrasse est ouverte tous les jours pour le déjeuner en plein air, le brunch et le dîner.

Fabulous Mothers' Day brunch at the Lafayette. Food was superb. Staff was efficient and very attentive. Can't say enough about the bakery items. Absolute musts.

Food was mediocre, especially the fish. The salad was very good, but for the main course to be so mediocre is really a problem given how much you charge

Unfortunately we were sent outside for brunch this past weekend into cold and windy weather, for a birthday celebration, that was also not acknowledged. We were told somewhat dismissively that “your reservation was made ‘too late’”. Whatever that means. It was an excuse for something because we made the reservation the day before and I would have never booked it if the table had been described as “outdoors” on OpenTable. I would have left, but my family wanted to stay. Unfortunately it ruined what was otherwise delicious food and very nice service. But I also reserved for the indoor ambience, not the noise and cold wind of a New York street. Lafayette needs to think about their patrons more than their efficiency, and update their reservation-taking system to be honest and accurate.

Delicious dinner. Best fries. Great service I went with my two daughters and they took such great care of us. Don’t sleep on the bread service of creme brûlée

Coffee and pastries were delicious. We both had the Shakshuka - I wouldn’t recommend. It wasn’t bad but there are much better versions out there. This one lacked spice, it was basically 2 eggs in marinara for $28.

Ambience is nice , serving is friendly but the cheese fondue was pretty bad and not to the level of the french or Swiss standard which is disappointing

I adore your restaurant and frequently bring guests, but as a local with dietary restrictions, I find the gluten-free options lacking. Could you please consider expanding these offerings? It would greatly enhance my dining experience and that of many others. Thank you.

We had reservations and our table seating had a wait still. It also took one full hour before we were served with entres. I have been here for brunch which I love. I just felt the dinner experience was not the same due to the delays.

Love Lafayette BUT extremely disappointed today. I have made a reservation, confirmed on OpenTable. When my party arrived, they said there was no record of my reservation and they were not seated. Quite embarrassing! I got there and showed them the reservation, we were seated but no acknowledgment of the issue nor apology for the confusion. Food is always good but things like this ruin the experience.

I have been to Lafayette many times, and have never been disappointed. The food is good, the service is excellent and it’s a lovely looking restaurant. Can’t ask for more.

The staff was super kind and considerate. I arrived 30 minutes early without my guest and was still seated and served while I waited for my guest to arrive.

The waiter made the experience so delightful!! The service he provided was the best we have ever experienced in any restaurant we have dined at for brunch in NYC. Next time we go, ( which is today) we will be sure to ask what his name is.

A great place and a great experience truly very enjoyable, would highly recommend anyone spend Thanksgiving there. It was never crowded enough to feel chaotic, the staff were always very attentive, and the dishes were well portion and absolutely delicious as well as being perfectly filling. Would recommend anybody go there for the Thanksgiving experience.

Unfriendly staff is the main reason for the bad review. A lot of staff and all pretty disinterested in guests but rather more into themselves. Food was fairly ok and the drinks as well. It was pretty empty so they could have gone an extra mile, since they were so many.

Overpriced for nothing. Coffee $5.50 for mini cup (couple of sips) no refills ! What a joke. You can’t order pastry from the cafe. Salads are plain with one or two ingredients. Again over $23 for plain lettuce. We had beef Tatar, nothing special $37 way overpriced.

Lafayette is always a great choice for catching up with friends. The lemon ricotta pancakes are by far my favorite item.

I love it here—staff is amazing, food is always on point, the bar is stunning and it’s perfect for almost any occasion. I used to go at least once a week but moved to the west coast—when I moved back it was the first place I went. Do not hesitate to book a table—they do it right.

Waitress was incredibly rude! Was impossible to get her attention to place and order! She took our drinks before we were done and asked us to pay 3 times despite that we had not finished eating or drinking. I’ve never had such a bad service experience at a high end restaurant until now!

I was there to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and received great service throughout the evening. Drinks were excellent, the food was delicious (Moules Frites were some of the best I’ve ever had including the most perfect fries!), and the ambiance was lively and fun. Just what we wanted for our celebration! Will come back again.
