Our $89 prix fixe tea service offered Wednesday through Sunday.

Lady Mendl's is an unconventionally chic tea salon housed within a Georgian brownstone in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of Manhattan. An opulent five-course tea is served in an eclectic and whimsical parlor by a doting staff. Patrons sip tea from hand culled vintage Wedgwood teacups as they nibble dainty finger sandwiches and house baked scones.

CHILDREN UNDER 12 ARE NOT PERMITTED.***

Please note that our entrance is only accessible via a staircase of 10 steps. We do not have an elevator.

Located within The Inn at Irving Place, Lady Mendl's is housed in a Victorian style salon. Our private parties can accommodate up to 65 guests for a seated event and 75 guests for a cocktail party. In addition, our martini lounge, Cibar, is located on the ground floor and can also be used for private events or combined with the Lady Mendl's Salon. We are a beautiful location for destination weddings, bridal or baby showers, cocktail parties, and corporate events. Please complete an inquiry on our website for specific pricing.

These medium sized leaves produce a copper liquid that has a bright and fragrant cup. The tea is smooth and full-bodied with a malty aftertaste that stands up to a splash of milk or lemon
Moroccan Mint Green
Transport yourself to a land of desert sands, caravans and palm tree filled oasis, with Moroccan Mint a delicious blend of spearmint and green tea. The green tea unfurls into large leaves, with a pale ecru cup and a strong minty flavor
Creamy Toasted Coconut - Oolong
This delightfully light tea brews to an ecru color and has the taste of baked goodies with an undertone of an earthly oolong. The rich exotic aroma is accompanied by the smooth, delicious taste of coconut macaroon with vanilla accents
Lemon Verbena (Decaf)
Made from the leaves of the verbena flower, this tea is outstandingly refreshing, with an invigorating aroma. Verbena is known to have medicinal elements and helps ease aches and pains
Wonderland Rooibos (Decaf)
A wonderful blend of green rooibos with cacao and cinnamon and flavored with Bavarian chocolate, cinnamon and hazelnuts. It brews to a golden cup with the delicious aroma and taste of cinnamon baked goodies

Mendl's was lovely. All who worked there were friendly and professional. The only improvement I would say is that 95% of all the food we were served looked and tasted wonderful, just felt that the cucumber sandwiches were on the bland side. It may have needed some more seasoning. But as I said all the other savory and sweets were excelent.

Lady Mendl’s afternoon tea was an exquisite experience. From the beautiful setting to the lovely hostess, our attentive and delightful waiters and the delicious food, we can’t say enough. It is not going to be an inexpensive outing but my sister and I look at an experience like this as a reasonably priced New York City experience- like a show or an event. It’s 5 courses with a tea pairing with each. An absolutely delightful afternoon.

Lovely tea experience, attentive staff, delicious food and teas. When busy, the place is a little loud but can still converse. The scones are really good. Next time, will try tea pairing. Go treat yourselves.

The interior and atmosphere of Lady Mendl's Tea Salon are really fabulous!! The British and other elements are matched perfectly with the exotic decorations. The breads of the open sandwich felt a little dry, however the overall food is good, especially the freshly baked scones and the mille crepes for dessert were amazing! There was also a wide variety of teas, so my friend and I ordered different teas and shared the pot to enjoy many different kinds of tea. A staff was very attentive, refilling our tea several times and serving us with a lovely smile. I went to luxurious hotels and popular shops for having the afternoon tea. I sometimes felt the hotel's fee was too expensive for everything provided and was disappointed the popular shop's actual interior was cheaper than the photos on the website. However, Lady Mendl's Tea Salon provides really great value for money considering the overall quality of the atmosphere, food and service. So I go back when I'd like to enjoy a relaxed time with friends. I think it's definitely worth trying once!!

Lovely ambiance and great service. I just wish the menu had more variety since there were mostly vegan and vegetarian options.
