The food is pretty good, but just isn't great especially at that price. Appetizer was over-salted, marsala sauce was too sweet, pasta was undercooked past the point of nice al dente, and the seafood in the pasta was so-so and scarce. The service was excellent, the bread was good, and the decor is pretty nice. I really wanted to love it, instead I just liked it but not enough to return. Sorry.

I've been going to La Vecchia for years, but not as frequently as I like. Had a get together with some dear friends and it was the perfect spot. The food never disappoints and the server was friendly. I had such a great time I forgot my credit card. The staff called right away, phew!!

This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the city (Santa Monica). The food is always consistently good and the service is parallel. It is a little noisy if dining indoor. The outdoor dining is good with lot's of heaters. The servers here are well-trained and pretty efficient. We had calamari, which was fresh and crispy. The chicken and the veal are outstanding. The pasta never disappoints. I will return here as long as they are there.

High ceilings and nice ambience. Our server, Mike, was excellent. Our entrees were very, very good. My husband had the Branzino fish dish which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had thin slices of veal parmigiana, not breaded, with melted cheese. It was not heavy and the sauce was delicious. The homemade bread was warm, light on the inside and crunchy on the outside. It was such a nice experience.

I have enjoyed dining at La Vecchia on an occasional basis over the years. This dining experience was less than ideal, starting with an unfriendly and curt maitre d', subpar food, and seating at a chilly, drafty table located not far from a sometimes open outside back door.

Great food, excellent wine list, wonderful and helpful staff. Very reasonable prices for excellent food -- good variety of choices on the menu as well. Options for seating -- inside or outside -- are both excellent. Outside can offer better acoustics for larger parties.

This is our “go to” restaurant. We love it here. We’ve been coming here since its inception. CATHY is our favorite. We plan to have many many more wonderful dining experiences at la vecchia cucina. 😘

Best Italian restaurant on the West Side, in my opinion. I've been going to La Vecchia for over 30 years, and never disappointed. Great good, the BEST Happy Hour in L.A. Love all the staff, love the dip and bread, and their menu has something for everyone. It's my go-to for almost any occasion.

Great restaurant. If you like good Italian food, this is the place for it. It never disappoints. With plenty of dining space, both inside and outside on the large patio, there is not a wait for a table. On this night it was raining outside, so most tables were taken inside. Our server was attentive and our food was delicious. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant I will return again and again.

Can’t say enough about La Vecchia Cucina. Has been a favorite for my wife and I for 20 years. It continues to keep its quality and taste. Although we moved out of the area, we look forward to coming into town just to dine here. Thank you Mark and Team!
