We sat at our table for about 20 minutes, attempting to order a $180 bottle of Alpha Omega wine and appetizers. However, our server ignored us, engrossed in conversation with the bartender and other servers. Frustrated, we decided to leave and dined at Bennett's Westside Grill instead. This marks the second time in the last two months that we've experienced such poor service there. We may consider giving it another chance, but we won't be returning anytime soon.

La Provence offers a wonderful variety of interesting items on their menu. All food is artfully presented and delicious. Their wine and cocktail lists are also good and reasonably priced.

Hello: This is my 2nd try at providing some "Feedback" on our experience at La Provence last night. First, our Server appeared to be on her first night. She was attentive, but seemed distracted and not strong english skills. She was trying, but it was obvious she was new in her position. We planned this mid-week evening dinner with close friends of over 30 years, Debra and Jim, who had never been to La Provence. My Wife and I were there for her Birthday last month, March 20th. She is from near Quebec and very much enjoyed the Escargot; then way they were prepared then, in garlic herb butter, possibly with some pesto - Delicious, and the bread sticks allowed for enjoying every bit of the garlic, butter sauce. Last night, without any notification, unless you fully read and understood the fine print of the menu, that the Chef had implemented a new version of the Escargot on the "Spring Menu". Horrible... We were all disappointed with the new version and we let both our Server and the Associate Manager know. Also, my friend Jim tried the Burger, which he enjoyed but the fries were dry, hard and not warm when they were served. My salmon was "perfect", but noboby likes cold french fries, another disappointment for the "Patate Frites" we expected. That said, we enjoyed each others company and made the best of it, since the wine was 1/2 off, we had two bottles. It will likely be a long time before we return to La Provence, unless you provide at least the option for the old/original way the Escargot are served. Lester E. Carter Jr., Cell: 805-503-3632

Absolutely magical. Our group was fortunate to choose a perfect weather scenario so that we were able to enjoy the outdoor seating. Memorable and delicious. Will be back!

We have been going to LP for 7 plus years. Last night was a big disappointment - first there were no menus, second the service was very slow & inconsistent, third the escargo recipe changed & was disgusting, fourth it took for ever to get drinks, fifth we asked for bread two times with two separate waitstaff and no bread ever appeared, sixth silverware was provided haphazardly - no mini forks for the escargo, no steak knives for the steak entrees, seventh although a virgin drink was ordered, we were charged for the drink as if it had liquor, eight we observed other tables getting shoddy service and people leaving in disgust without ordering

They continue to keep the whole back outdoor area closed. This back outdoor area is the whole reason we go to La Provence restaurant. They need to hire more help to accommodate the most appealing part of the restaurant.

We like going and even more since our last trip to Europe.. When we start to miss France, La Provence it is!! Make a reservation for dinner, lunch and brunch can get busy too!

We dine here regularly, approximately every 6 weeks or so. The food is always great, the menu changes slightly on a rotating basis, but there are regular menu items that remain constant due to popularity. The prices are reasonable for a comprehensive menu and we have rarely been disappointed with either a new item or the regular features. The beef, lamb, and duck entrees always feature quality ingredients, and the rotating seafood dishes are excellent. We have noticed a significant turnover in personnel in that the front end staff and every server was new. Not sure if someone called in sick last minute, but there were only three servers on a very busy Wednesday which led to a near two hour meal. Since I'm sure there were not many drop in diners, as most usually make advance reservations, so I'm hoping that this was a one time only aberration.

To address the very busy Wednesday night, we wholeheartedly wish your statement about drop in diners was true. Some nights we get very few, and some nights we can more than double our guest count. It is very hard to manage. We appreciate your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you again.

Wonderful surroundings. Patrons were well dispersed for privacy and noise level. The wait staff were very attentive. The food is generally very good but my chicken Caesar was not up to par.

We attended the Easter Brunch which was generally good. We arrived early for our reservation and seated right away by the kitchen. I liked the variety of starters although the croissants were cold and way too crispy. The entree menu had a nice variety. Service was excellent even with a full house. The buffet areas were set up well. We all agreed we’d like to come back for the regular menu.

Honest experience. The service was very bad. I understand that things get busy but no one ever came to check on us. Our food came out 2 hours after we arrived. Didn’t get refills. When we talked to the manager she simply shrugged and said I’m sorry. We’ve gone several times and will not be back

Seated by the fireplace was very nice. Our server Scott was excellent. Did was very good and not rushed. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and will definitely be back.

Caught them on an off night. We normally love this restaurant and have enjoyed many lovely meals here, but tonight was very disappointing. I’m not sure if they were under staffed, or if there was a new cook, but everything was off this evening. First - they were slow. We were seated promptly, but that was it for promptness tonight. Everything from taking our order to getting water refills was glacial. I was about to leave waiting for the main courses to arrive. But the worst thing. The worst. Was when the special finally came it wasn’t cooked (at least not enough to be safe). I had to send it back and I have never sent anything back before. Just terrible. I won’t be back soon.

We went for brunch on a Sat morn at 10:30. The breakfast of eggs, bacon and potatoes was excellent. We also had an excellently made waffle with berries and whipped cream. They brought us bread and croissants while we waited for our main breakfast.We were very satisfied .

Outstanding service with timeliness between courses. Had the opportunity to relax before ordering dinner and enjoying a glass of wine. The service staff was exceptional and saw to all of our needs.

We have been coming here for years. This will be the last time. The food was gross. The quality has gone down a lot! I was served what I felt like was cafeteria food and completely uneditable to my liking and my family. The service was bad as well. The Manager kept walking by and never stopped to ask about my meal that was moved to the other side of the table. Terrible! My husband and daughter didn’t enjoy their meal either. I only took a picture of my meal upon being served. Had I known it was all unsatisfactory, I would have taken pictures of each meal.

We love the ambiance of La Provence. Can't wait to eat out of the patio. I hope it is open for drinks and food soon. We have only been 3 times. The first two times the service was outstanding. This last time the service was horrible. Hardly so our server who was overworked. We got our appetizer after about 10 minutes but still no drinks which I had to remind him. Then got our wine to go with dinner but no dinner. My husband and I, it was just us, sat there for over two hours. Don't mind the duration if we are taking our time with dessert and an after dinner drink but this was not the case. Please keep the sweet potato salad. So delicious. We have had the salmon which is tasteless and mushy. My husband always gets the oysters, and I like the crab cakes.

We arrived on time for our 5:00PM reservation. We were told there were no booths available although the restaurant was less than half full and there were plenty of empty booths visible. They tried to sit us at a very small table for two. This is the third time in a row that they had done this. We said this was not acceptable. We are in our eighties and need a little comfort. We said that we would go elsewhere. We went to JB Brewery and had a great time and meal.

Not great but no bad either Waiter greeted us. Took order checked back and delivered check. No personality. Did not tell us special’s Caesar and onion soup good Salmon. Just ok. Very small portion. Maybe 4 oz. Veg and starch were better than salmon Duck. Just ok. Very small portion of duck. I think the peas and carrots were from a frozen bag. Not fresh Coq a Vin. Was nit fully cooked by bone. Sauce nit good and a bunch if small flavorless potatoes Asked for quiet table Got one with guests on both sides Ditch the tables to right of entry to dining room. Put a plant Tell manager in maroon suit. walk around and talk to guests Won’t be back. U have serious issues there. Read ur reviews. Especially the valentines revues

2 stars 1) wait staff should not serve a drink with their fingers touching the rim, most unsanitary 2) snail appetizers were cold, the plate was hot but the food cold, the toast served with it was stale - yuck 3) frog legs appetizers were very tough and unappetizing 4) the entry veggies looked and tasted like what you could get in the freezer section at Safeway 5) the duck l'orange was tough and virtually tasteless and could have used at least 2 tablespoons of sauce instead of the one they plated 6) the waiter in training and his trainer were great and I hope he stays 7) a thurday night at the restaurant and there was no where to park - maybe we picked a bad night

Service was awful. One of the guests didn’t get his food until we were done eating. One dish was lasagna and it didn’t have any noodles. Never refilled my iced tea or water. Never asked us how our food was. Horrible service. Should have given us free dessert for the awful service. Asked to have his meal comped and they did.

Underwhelming. Very average food instead of French fine dining. Extremely slow service. Server was very nice so still tipped appropriately but we won’t come back.

As always a great lunch. Although a busy Friday for La Provence the service was excellent along with the food. Never go wrong with the Pistachio Crusted Cod. We visited for 2 hours and had great dining experience. I highly recommend La Provence for fine dining experiencing and a great place for a business lunch.

Probably our 50th or so visit to La Provence. It’s our go to lunch place when us old ladies want to get together. Good food and great service. Lovely location too. We’ll keep coming back.

Danielle was quite pleasant, and offered great service. The food was excellent, and the entire experience was unrushed and my family enjoyed it quite a lot.
