Kelly, our server was very pleasant and helpful!! There was four of us celebrating a birthday brunch and Kelly impressed us with her incredibly wonderful smile! Everyone in my party kept remarking what a rare person she was. Thank you, Kelly …you do your restaurant proud! Oh, and the food was very good! The club sandwich and the salmon salad exceptionall!

It was absolutely amazing. Great choice to break away from the normal. Food was perfect and served in a reasonable time. Only would have like a couple more drinks as I had such a great time it was hard to leave.

We have been going to their Mother’s Day brunch for the last few years. The atmosphere is always great. The price has increased significantly, but this year the food and the experience were not up to the quality we have come to expect. It was clear that they had over booked and were under staffed. Plus, the food was not up to the quality we have come to expect, all of the meat items were way overcooked and the buffet items were mostly empty. I know Mother’s Day is a crazy day for restaurants, but for the amount we paid, I expected a higher quality experience.

Bad service Practically no service at all. Waited an hour and a half for our entrée which I had boxed up we bought three scones that were so bad we threw away, we will not return. This was on Mother’s Day which I knew it would be busy but a bad first impression does not bring customers back.

We went for their Mothers Day Brunch (11adults)… The crab in the omelet tasted like it was out of a can. Many of us had the eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise sauce was good, the ham was cold and tasted like prepackaged deli meat. Drinks were not great. It was $65.00 per person, and we all agreed would not go back. Very disappointing. The place is pretty though

We celebrated Mother's Day and were so pleased with the starter and dessert buffets. Our server was pleasant, made us feel welcome, and paced the meal so that we felt pampered.

Our name was passed over (forgotten) for reservation, other parties of 3 & 4 were seated before us and we ended up waiting over 30 minutes for a table. Waited 15 minutes for server to acknowledge us. The buffet and desserts were nice. The food was ice cold. The server never offered to refill drinks. The added gratuity was unfortunate since I feel it made, at least this server, like they didn't have to work for a tip and got a pass from management. BTW- I would have tipped, but not 18-20% for service that was extremely disappointing. I expected so much more since I have been to this place before and had a nice experience with the service and food. We have decided that In&Out burger is our next Mother's Day since the food is always good and the customer service is spot on. It's really a shame since we had been looking forward to this for a month and were excited to do go out on Mother's Day, something we haven't done for years, but we felt like being spoiled and were ok with the price.

Chicken was dry, eggs benedict was cold, kids French toast was a joke, dry and small. The buffet, several things were out. The price was outrageous for what we got. I always thought of La Provence as a nice, fancy treat for a meal. We (7 of us) were all disappointed.

We arrived and checked in for Mother’s Day brunch. An outside table was specified, by the time we were sat 20 minutes later, they had given our table to someone else. We were sat inside by the fireplace. Our server greeted us to take our drink order and deliver them, but service check ins were minimal. The pastry and salad buffet were nice since our entree took a long time to be received. My chicken was over cooked but flavor nice. Both my and my daughter’s plate had clearly been “left in back” as we were advised they were “too hot to touch”. I’ve never been to this place before but I might go back when it’s not a special occasion. It seemed in all aspects of hospitality the staff were overwhelmed. The price is typically expected for prix fix but the quality received vs what was charged was over priced and gratuity wasn’t optional, it was automatic 20%.

Super disappointing experience. No one came to our table to greet us for over 15 minutes and then had to find out who our server was. Buffet was super limited, unimpressive, and far from our table. Entrees took an hour (no exaggeration), were tiny, and also unimpressive. Daughter and I got the Ratatouille Omelette.- supposedly 3 egg but more like 1.5. Just a slimmed down version of their normal $19 menu item but for $65 instead - except unlike normal item, didn’t have gruyere, pesto, or house potatoes- basically a very small diner-style veggie omelette with no cheese or potatoes. Husband got veggie kabob- equally disappointing. Our buffet dishes were not cleared until the check came. No flowers on the table or anything to make it feel like a special occasion. The patio itself was very pretty and peaceful though. Server was nice, but service overall was pretty average- excluding long wait times and uncleared dishes which was subpar- definitely not $65 a plate service. No drinks were included in the price- forget a “complimentary” mimosa or even a cup of coffee. And to top it all of, 20% gratuity was automatically added. I usually tip 18-20%, and I’m all for adding a gratuity for large parties or special events, but seriously an automatic 20%? How about 15-18% and we decide if we want to add extra. (I mean, we got our own food and stacked our own dirty dishes, so…) Definitely will not recommend and very unlikely to come back. Feel used and burned.

Buffets were great. Main entrees were horrible! Not fresh crab as advertised on menu, dry as cardboard chicken with non existent sauce, very overdone salmon and frittata was a scramble.

Incredibly over priced. Half buffet, half ordered meal. The buffet was terrible- mostly bread, cold potatoes and pasta, and desserts. The ordered food was cold when delivered. Service was almost non existence. Had to raise hand to get their attention as we didn't get a drink that was ordered after over 30 minutes of waiting (just a soda). We were seated immediately next to the dessert buffet, so there were constantly people lined up right next to us making it very hard to talk to each other as the line was loud. The gratuity was auto added, we were a party of 3. This restaurant used to be fantastic, now chain restaurant food is better.

They served a buffet for mother's day and 5he food was just OK, not great which you usually expect from La Provence. They also waited to take drink orders until after you went to the buffet and we were all done with our food by the time the waiter came for the drink order. We didn't like that. It was nice out and the ambiance was very good but would not recommend a buffet at this restaurant.

As with most restaurants they were obviously short staffed. We waited almost 20 min after being seated before anyone came by our table and that was to only tell us someone would be bringing bread and water. That took only a few minutes. We then waiter at least another 10 minutes before we saw our waitress. She was very nice. Food was just ok. I asked for medium rare steak it came sliced and some was and the rest was well done. I don’t like to send food back so I just kept it. For the price the food and service we will not be returning.

We love this restaurant! The servers are friendly and on top of things. The ambiance is fun. Food overall is very good! Onion soup to die for and love the calamari appetizer! Recommend it!

We sat at our table for about 20 minutes, attempting to order a $180 bottle of Alpha Omega wine and appetizers. However, our server ignored us, engrossed in conversation with the bartender and other servers. Frustrated, we decided to leave and dined at Bennett's Westside Grill instead. This marks the second time in the last two months that we've experienced such poor service there. We may consider giving it another chance, but we won't be returning anytime soon.

La Provence offers a wonderful variety of interesting items on their menu. All food is artfully presented and delicious. Their wine and cocktail lists are also good and reasonably priced.

Hello: This is my 2nd try at providing some "Feedback" on our experience at La Provence last night. First, our Server appeared to be on her first night. She was attentive, but seemed distracted and not strong english skills. She was trying, but it was obvious she was new in her position. We planned this mid-week evening dinner with close friends of over 30 years, Debra and Jim, who had never been to La Provence. My Wife and I were there for her Birthday last month, March 20th. She is from near Quebec and very much enjoyed the Escargot; then way they were prepared then, in garlic herb butter, possibly with some pesto - Delicious, and the bread sticks allowed for enjoying every bit of the garlic, butter sauce. Last night, without any notification, unless you fully read and understood the fine print of the menu, that the Chef had implemented a new version of the Escargot on the "Spring Menu". Horrible... We were all disappointed with the new version and we let both our Server and the Associate Manager know. Also, my friend Jim tried the Burger, which he enjoyed but the fries were dry, hard and not warm when they were served. My salmon was "perfect", but noboby likes cold french fries, another disappointment for the "Patate Frites" we expected. That said, we enjoyed each others company and made the best of it, since the wine was 1/2 off, we had two bottles. It will likely be a long time before we return to La Provence, unless you provide at least the option for the old/original way the Escargot are served. Lester E. Carter Jr., Cell: 805-503-3632

Absolutely magical. Our group was fortunate to choose a perfect weather scenario so that we were able to enjoy the outdoor seating. Memorable and delicious. Will be back!

We have been going to LP for 7 plus years. Last night was a big disappointment - first there were no menus, second the service was very slow & inconsistent, third the escargo recipe changed & was disgusting, fourth it took for ever to get drinks, fifth we asked for bread two times with two separate waitstaff and no bread ever appeared, sixth silverware was provided haphazardly - no mini forks for the escargo, no steak knives for the steak entrees, seventh although a virgin drink was ordered, we were charged for the drink as if it had liquor, eight we observed other tables getting shoddy service and people leaving in disgust without ordering

They continue to keep the whole back outdoor area closed. This back outdoor area is the whole reason we go to La Provence restaurant. They need to hire more help to accommodate the most appealing part of the restaurant.

We dine here regularly, approximately every 6 weeks or so. The food is always great, the menu changes slightly on a rotating basis, but there are regular menu items that remain constant due to popularity. The prices are reasonable for a comprehensive menu and we have rarely been disappointed with either a new item or the regular features. The beef, lamb, and duck entrees always feature quality ingredients, and the rotating seafood dishes are excellent. We have noticed a significant turnover in personnel in that the front end staff and every server was new. Not sure if someone called in sick last minute, but there were only three servers on a very busy Wednesday which led to a near two hour meal. Since I'm sure there were not many drop in diners, as most usually make advance reservations, so I'm hoping that this was a one time only aberration.

Steve, Thank you for your thoughtful feedback, and for your consistent return as a guest, it is so very much appreciated, given all the choices out there. To address the very busy Wednesday night, we wholeheartedly wish your statement about drop in diners was true. Some nights we get very few, and some nights we can more than double our guest count. It is very hard to manage. We appreciate your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you again.

Wonderful surroundings. Patrons were well dispersed for privacy and noise level. The wait staff were very attentive. The food is generally very good but my chicken Caesar was not up to par.

We attended the Easter Brunch which was generally good. We arrived early for our reservation and seated right away by the kitchen. I liked the variety of starters although the croissants were cold and way too crispy. The entree menu had a nice variety. Service was excellent even with a full house. The buffet areas were set up well. We all agreed we’d like to come back for the regular menu.

Honest experience. The service was very bad. I understand that things get busy but no one ever came to check on us. Our food came out 2 hours after we arrived. Didn’t get refills. When we talked to the manager she simply shrugged and said I’m sorry. We’ve gone several times and will not be back

Seated by the fireplace was very nice. Our server Scott was excellent. Did was very good and not rushed. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and will definitely be back.

Caught them on an off night. We normally love this restaurant and have enjoyed many lovely meals here, but tonight was very disappointing. I’m not sure if they were under staffed, or if there was a new cook, but everything was off this evening. First - they were slow. We were seated promptly, but that was it for promptness tonight. Everything from taking our order to getting water refills was glacial. I was about to leave waiting for the main courses to arrive. But the worst thing. The worst. Was when the special finally came it wasn’t cooked (at least not enough to be safe). I had to send it back and I have never sent anything back before. Just terrible. I won’t be back soon.
