La Grenouille, maison chic et traditionnelle établie en 1962, propose une cuisine française classique dans un cadre élégant et intime. Les bouquets de fleurs incroyables et les délices culinaires du chef exécutif Richard Pommiès rendent hommage à l'héritage du propriétaire Philippe Masson. Un véritable paradis de merveilles au niveau visuel tout comme au niveau du goût, La Grenouille sert le dîner et le souper de mardi jusqu'à samedi. Une salle avec une grande cheminée et des fenêtres de toit en trois niveaux est disponible pour les fêtes privées. Au nouveau bar « Aviator » conçu par Philippe Masson, vous pouvez commander le dîner ou le souper à la carte. À l'étage, dans la salle Skylight de La Grenouille, il y a un bar dédié à Saint-Exupéry, qui y a écrit une partie du célèbre Le Petit Prince dans les années 1940.

This old-timer has some of the loveliest ambiance in NYC -- fresh, gorgeous aromatic flowers everywhere and really comfortable banquette seating. And extraordinary service. Alas, the food was very disappointing. It was below average and not at all the gastronomic experience we were expecting. I think it's seen better days :(

It was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had in New York. The food, the service, the decor (fresh flowers everywhere in the restaurant), the music…everything was wonderful. Best soufflés I have ever had. This place is like a little poem, including the amazing Madelines that made me reminisce of Marcel Proust. I loved this place so much and it was such a nice way to celebrate my birthday.

The restaurant is beautiful. Flowers galore. The waitstaff, initially, was not attentive. We had to ask for drinks and the wine list. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Philippe, the owner, and Melvin, our captain. While dining we feel we were rushed. We were repeatedly asked about clearing our plates when there clearly still was food on them. At the end, one dessert was served while we had to ask where the other one was. Mine came when my wife was finishing hers. We often dine at expensive restaurants and this one just fell short.

The experience is outstanding. From the staff, to the setting, to the flowers, to the food, to the desert. This is the place for an evening to remember.

The flowers were beautiful, the jazz was nice and the food was terrible. Do not waste your time at this sham of a tourist trap restaurant.

Just a fantastic experience. I would recommend it to anyone. These people teach it the way you should be treated for this time of elegant finding. Have been to other places in New York and now come even close to matching the type of service that is provided here

This was our first visit, and we will not be going back. The place felt pretentious and 'way too expensive. Food was fine, and service was impressive, but the prix fixe menu left us feeling committed to a very pricey meal, which detracted from the enjoyment. The final straw came when the bill included a request for separate tips for waiters and concierges. We appreciated the quality of the food, and the live music that began halfway through the meal, but left feeling it had all been too much. You can get equally good food and service (and ambiance) in NYC for much less money. Tables were close together and a brief exchange with the people at the next table confirmed that we were not alone in our reactions.

This is a 5 star dining experience. From start to finish it is exceptional. The floral arrangements were not only beautiful, but the scent was intoxicating. The food was fabulous. The service was impeccable. I can’t wait to go back! Yes, it’s expensive— but worth every penny! You cannot put a price tag on a memory. If you have a special occasion coming up, you won’t be sorry you chose La Grenouille. I loved everything— the nibblers, the cheese soufflé, the sole seasoned & cooked perfectly with a delicious Dijon Hollandaise— phenomenal! Did I mention the coffee soufflé? What a wonderful treat to end a spectacular dinner! I would go back for the soufflés alone— yes! They’re THAT good! This is my new favorite restaurant in NYC. My only complaint— as an Italian, I’d love for them to add a pasta dish to the menu. ;)
