Went for happy hour with my hubs and friend. Realize that happy hour is discounted but I didn’t know that meant lower quality of food and portion size. We ordered a variety of things thinking to share but in reality they were enough for 1 person. Especially the chicken satay! Literally 1 small piece of chicken on a skewer for $3!? Like why bother!? Literally laughed at this. The food was not warm at all. My flatbread was soggy and cold. Very disappointed in our dining experience. Kona used to be better than this!

This was my 2nd time to Kona Grill. Both times were for dates. It has shown to be a great place for that as the noise level is not excessive so you can talk. The wait staff is attentive but not overbearing, the food is good, and the place is clean. I love the variety of food options as well.

This was our first trip to Kona Grill and will most likely be our last. It was dinner time on Mother's Day, we fully expected long waits for drinks and food, we were there to enjoy the evening out so we weren't in a rush. Our reservation was for 6:15 and we were seated right away. This is important for later. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer, the avocado egg rolls. About 2 minutes later someone came to the table with the egg rolls which was surprising because the server hadn't even had time to order them yet. The runner said it was fine and we could take them anyway, so we did. They were...fine, nothing special. Our drinks arrived quite a while later, I didn't look at the time so I'm not sure how long it was but we had finished the egg rolls by then. The server took our entree orders and vanished. My best guess is this was around 7:00 give or take. Multiple servers stopped by our table to refill our drinks and apologize for our wait, but by 8:15 we became concerned that our order had been lost. We flagged down our server and he said the food should be out very shortly. Around 10 minutes later he came to our table with our food just as we were discussing leaving and going somewhere else. He asked if we needed anything else right then and we said no as the food looked fine, until we tasted it. Everything was cold. Not even slightly warm, everything was room temperature. My wife's prime rib felt like it had been in a refrigerator, and was well done when she requested medium rare. We got our server's attention, he was very apologetic and promised to have everything remade and to send a manager to speak with us. The manager was very kind, apologized profusely and we received fresh food very shortly after. My ribs were very good, but I found out later my wife's prime rib was barely above room temp. She does not like to complain so she ate it without saying anything. Nothing was comped from our ticket and nobody came to check on us after other than our server.

Unfortunately this time around the experience was not good. We had to ask for a server 45 minutes after we were sat. We placed our orders all at once and the starters came out quick. The main orders did not come out and we had to ask the server and manager where the food was. The food came out 90 minutes after we placed the order and were told that the tickets went missing. The steak was not cooked even throughout although it was ordered medium rare. Very disappointing experience on Mother’s Day later I. The day.

Overall my family and I had a great dinner for celebrating Mother’s Day. Definitely busier than the week before which was noticed. The atmosphere was much louder and longer wait for the food. We ordered the ribeye meatballs which was recommended by our waiter. Unfortunately, the food was very cool when it was brought to us. We communicated to our waiter and he immediately corrected it and brought us a new one, but that was handed to us less than room temperature. We just left it alone and didn’t even bother about it again. Our main entrees made up for it. We ordered stir fry, rib eye and baby back ribs. We will come again I know in the near future.

The prices did not reflect the quantity and cut of the Prime Rib. There should’ve been bread and butter and a choice of salads.

Went there for Mothers Day. Understanding they would be busy, and even though we had reservations, still waited a little over half hour for a table. Food was pretty good, and the table service was pretty good under the circumstances. It did take forever for dinner to arrive. Overall though, it was still a good experience.

Had a reservation at 1:45, didn’t get seated until 2:30, and only then because we agreed to sit in the bar at a high top. Then didn’t get service, not even a glass of water for another 15 minutes. Food didn’t come for another 30 minutes. I ended up not being able to eat because I had a plane to catch. Food was exorbitantly overpriced. We ordered 10 sushi rolls for $240. Definitely the last time at Kona for our family
