We eat at fancy restaurants all the time. This was our first time at Kona Grill. Price was not really high but the meat and shrimps were tasteless.

Had reservations, still had to wait over 20 minutes. Appetizers were above average, steak was tough, sea bass was very tiny portion. Only positive was the waiter was very nice. The rest of staff seemed overwhelmed.

Kona Grill is way overpriced! We ordered the burger, ribs, and two different types of steak. The steaks were not cooked right and completely flavorless. Even my 20 year old who eats everything and anything took two bites and said he would just take it home and add flavor to it later. The ribs were ok at best and $20 for the burger we got!! Besides that, the table next to us was loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear their conversation and the waitress only encouraged it. Not a chance we will ever return to this place!

Took 50 minutes after we ordered drinks to get them. Several issues with the entrees coming out wrong. It's a nice concept, great location but we wont be going back.

My husband and I both ordered Chilean sea bass which was served to us cold and raw in the middle. The manger did apologize and said he alerted the cook, but nothing else was done. It would have been nice to have been offered a free dessert or to have one of our appetizers taken off. Especially after both my husband and I had eaten some of the undercooked sea bass.

I made the reservation three days ago for my kids and I for a Mother’s Day experience. It took us 20 minutes to get drinks so when I mean drinks, I mean water and soda. 45 minutes goes by. I ask about my meal by a manager oh, I’ll get back to you. 10 minutes goes by a waiter goes by I ask is there anyway you can check on my order? The same manager comes by five minutes later and I said sir have you heard anything about my meal? Oh I don’t know. I’ll check and I was like, sir you told me 10 minutes ago you were gonna check. I said I’ve been noticing how you just walking around the restaurant you’re not doing anything to help your employees, I didn’t like it so there was also the bathrooms were disgusting toilet paper there was toilet paper. It was so disgustingly dirty in there you can tell it’s been hours since that bathrooms been cleaned. There was waiter staff or I’m sorry waitress look like she was strung out on drugs, spiky blonde hair very nasty and lethargic would not recommend this place ever

Terrible Mother’s Day for my wife. Had to leave due to the waiting 30 min for a water. Kona has changed significantly. I will not be going back. Mexican bar company treated us way better.

Came for Mother’s Day but now I know why it was easy to get reservations bc this place sucks!! Food came out cold and half the food didn’t even come out!! Food was disgusting took forever to get any service !! They brought out apps with the entrees this place needs serious help not sure how long they will be in business.. just don’t bother we live in the DFW there are so many other places to choose from!!

We had reservations for Mother's Day. We had a 12:45 p.m. reservation. It took about maybe 5 minutes for us to get seated which was fine. Then we were seated it took a while for our drink order to be taken and then it took even longer for our drinks to be delivered. We had to remind the waitress. I understand it was Mother's Day and they were busy, but they weren't like super, super packed. Then our drinks came and then like one second later our food came. The menuwas limited due to it being Mother's Day so there wasn't a lot of options, but the breakfast brunch that I ordered was not made to order. It was all pre-made stuff that had been sitting in bins. My eggs were old, my potatoes were old, my English muffin was half burnt with no butter on it, the bacon was mediocre and the sausage was mediocre and it was $21 for that. Then I also ordered a Bloody Mary that said it came with blue cheese stuffed olives and celery and all this other stuff. It literally came with two olives and that was it and it was $14. The Mimosas were $3, but I cannot drink carbonation, so I wasn't able to indulge in that. Our waitress was a sweet young girl and she tried her best and I don't fault her, but the quality of the food was not on point. My girlfriend ordered the chicken stir fry and it barely had any chicken in it and it was $28 for basically like $10 worth of food. I will give credit to the waitress though. She went and got her a new order that she was able to take home and eat later and it had an adequate amount of chicken in it, but the first serving had like three pieces of chicken for $28... I haven't been to Kona grill in several years and I was excited to go but I probably won't be returning. It was very lackluster.

Our first visit but not sure we’ll be back. Our appetizers came out with our meal, I ordered a Bloody Mary that described bacon, celery and blue cheese olives, it came with none of that and the waiter was aggravated when I asked about it. I was informed that it was a special menu and they didn’t have any of that to put in it… Why was it on the menu? Food was overpriced for what you were served!

Terrible and over priced for portion size. I had the Vegas roll. Side of bacon for 9$. Received my glass of wine same time as my meal. Server never refilled drinks, cleared plates or brought check for so long we went to find her. Such a terrible experience all-round on Mothers day.

Well I would have loved to been able to go to the restaurant but this app allowed for a midnight reservation when the restaurant is not even open! Yes my fault but do better! Why would you offer a reservation time when the restaurant is not even open!

Worst experience I have ever had. I got charged over 50 dollars for the prime rib. I think it was pork…. I will never never never go back to this restaurant. It was embarrassing it was awful it was the most horrible place I’ve ever eaten at. Even if you paid me to go here I would say no thanks. Whataburger would have been better

I had the steak special for $39.95 which is a good value. The food was good, but the advertisement was kind of misleading. In the ad it shows the steak with baked potato and green beams but they don’t even have any bake potato in the menu and veg is $9 extra. The service was very very very slow, though the server but nice and cordial. I asked for Lime wedge with my Cosmo 2x, but it never came. I normally go to Kona on North Park and the service is outstanding.

We sat down and waited for over 20 minutes. Not a single server came to our table. A few passed us and said they’d be right with us and never came. The host even saw us sitting and waiting and didn’t do anything. We left after over 20 minutes of no one acknowledging us or taking our order. The restaurant wasn’t even busy and other tables were sat after us had drinks and servers

Love the food here at Kona- The food and service is MuCH improved since Covid years . Our Only complaint is the price for dinner for 2 and no drinks is close to $100. Prices have certainly risen making Kona our place to go only for special occasions which we dislike because we love the food.

I ordered the Poke Bowl. Not sure if the menu description said my salmon would be raw. Not sure I would have ordered it had that been the case. Also not sure if the description said the sauce would be spicy. Carrot cake was a-m-a-zing!

I arrived at 1:00pm for my reservation and received food at 1:55pm. I was warned that there would be a wait due to staffing and the holiday. The food was cold and the tiny (silver dollar) pancakes at brunch tasted like frozen pancakes with bananas foster sauce and walnuts sitting on top. Waiter brought out a glass of water with someone’s lipstick print on the glass. He quickly corrected the issue but my concern is the cleanliness of the restaurant. One of my sides were forgotten, I asked the waiter to remove it because I was not impressed with the rest of the food. The service was ok. The price of the food was ridiculous for the quality and quantity. We left hungry.

Three people ordered the exact same thing and all three came out different. Two of us ordered the same thing and again, the sides were different (and cold). English muffins (brunch) were straight from a pkg, not cut or toasted… we’ve given this restaurant so many tries and are continually disappointed. Not worth the money or inconsistency.

1st, I had made the reservation accidentally at 1230a, so I was glad their staff called to confirm. Was not aware they were open until 1a on Sat night to be able to make that mistake. Upon arrival, they sat us at a dirty table on the inside patio, when I had requested indoor. We asked to move inside & got a wobbly table next to a window that was really bright. The apps were really good--potstickers & avocado eggrolls. I ordered a ribeye steak with a special island butter, but it was pretty bland & chewy & gristly, & a lot of work to eat. Then to pay $50 for it, I really should have sent it back. Mom enjoyed her prime rib, wife enjoyed the Mac nut chicken. Service was really nice but slow with drink refills. Dissappeared for a good while. Had to grab a Manager to get tea refills. No salt on the table to help my flavorless steak, took forever to get anyone's attention. Then we just paid on the ziosk machine & left with dishes not cleared or a thank you for our visit. Awkward. Mixed feelings about the visit. This is the 2nd time I tried something different than I'd usually order here & been disappointed both times, but the rest of my party was happy with their food.

Food was just ok and very overpriced for the quantity / quality. The peeling table tops were gross. The clams in the clam chowder tasted very fishy as did their seaweed. Wouldn't recommend.

While the food was fine, service a little slow and upholstery on the booth seat back could do with some cleaning and attention, this was a middle of the road dining experience. We left thinking it is not a restaurant we would add to the to do again list. Not exactly bustling for 7:30 on a Saturday night might be an indication of it’s popularity?

Food was mediocre and priced as a nicer place. Cheapest item was a burger at over $20. Most plates were $35-$50. My Daughter got a Jones bottled soda at $9. Our server didn’t bring out side plates for the appetizer and our bar drinks sat for 10mins before I asked a manager for the plates and he brought over our drinks as well.
