We had reservations at 1p. We were prepared for it to be busy because it was Mother's Day. We were happy to be seated promptly at our reservation time. That is when all of the positive thoughts ended. Our waiter promptly told us that food was running 35-45 minutes just so we were aware. We decided to order food right away with our drinks since we would be waiting anyways. At this point we were understanding. About 40 mins passed and we finally got our waiter's attention to see where our DRINKS were! He apologized and said they had run out of glasses. Most of us had water/soda but a couple of us ordered wine and a bottled beer which they couldn't have been out of glasses for. We got the drinks about 10 minutes later. Two in our party had ordered Sushi. After we had been there about 1.5 hours, the Sushi came out. It was my mother and my husband's mother who had ordered the Sushi and we told them to go ahead and eat. About 20 minutes later, when we thought the rest of our food had to be coming soon, our waiter came out to tell us that what some of us had ordered was no longer available. At that point, we told him we just needed to leave. He removed the other orders from our ticket so we could pay. We were glad our moms ate as that was the main goal of the outing. My husband and I took the kids to McDonalds. Our opinion is this was a management issue. This was a heavily marketed "Mother's Day Brunch" and they were clearly unprepared. Most people had reservations which should have helped them with ordering supplies/food. The servers were literally at the chef's counter fighting over plates of food because they wanted to serve their tables. The manager walked around and did not address a single table because he already knew it was bad. There should have been an EXPO process implemented because it was so chaotic.

Hands down the worse dining experience I have had. My kids and I went out for Mother's Day. We had a reservation for 3 at 12:45 p.m., we arrived on time and were promptly taken to our table. When greeted by the server, he said that food was taking about 30 minutes because they were busy. I confirmed, acknowledging that Mother's Day is going to be busy and 30 minutes was okay. We ordered an edamame appetizer that took 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrive at the table. Our main course finally arrived at just over 2 hours. When the food was delivered to our table a manager approached us for the first time during our visit asking how the food looked. I advised the food looked fine but we hadn't tasted it yet and I was hesitant because I had seen plates of food sitting in the window for over a half hour. I also voiced my opinion that the kitchen was being poorly run and I hadn't seen any managers jump behind the line to help out. The manager left our table and did not return. After delivering our food, the server didn't return to the table to refill drinks or check to see if the food was okay. When the bill was delivered without any adjustments, the server offered $20 off. We paid and will not ever return.

Ruined our Mother's Day brunch plans. We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately. That's when the goodness of this celebratory day was ruined. We waited over 90 minutes for our food to arrive. Our server apologized and was sincere, but the entire dining experience was very unsatisfactory. The reservation system apparently wasn't capped at the table # of the restaurant. Many tables of upset diners all around us. Several just walked out due to the excessive wait times. This is not the way to run a restaurant. We ordered the American Fare (scrambled eggs, potatoes, toast, sausage and bacon) Of course it wasn't perfect and the meat and toast were both charred. I like Kona Grill but this experience has soured me on ever eating there again.

It took an hour to get our food. The fried rice had some funky spice on it and we paid it as an up charge for a side of it. couldn’t even eat it. $37 for fish and chips. Really? Wasn’t the waiters fault he was very nice

Kona was surprised by the Mother’s Day level of busy-ness somehow. We spent almost 2 1/2 hours to be served cold food. The waiter was working his hardest- it was definitely a missed opportunity for a manager to come around and apologize and comp some drinks or whatever.

It was Mothers Day. The busiest day of the year. That means a lot of stress on staff. Staff was great. Many customers were not. Impatient, rude, entitled. Everything was great except other patrons. Stay home if you think you deserve immediate service and food on Mothers Day (or any other day)

They overbooked for Mother’s Day. Like horribly bad. Over 2 hr food wait, witnessed 3+ families storm out from their tables, 10+ men yelling at manager, and even this one old guy throw his napkin and silverware across the lobby. Then food came out cold and 3hrs after leaving we all had gut bombs. So that was nice.

We were on time for our reservation and seated right away. It wasn't overly busy, especially for Mother's Day. an hour after we ordered around 11:35, our server Emily said we were behind big party tickets and it would be another 15 min. 15 min later, she came back and said it would be yet another 15 min. It's now after noon and she comes back empty handed, yet again and we said we'd like to pay for our drinks and leave. we weren't charged but no explanation and no apology provided. there were 3 mothers there for brunch. one guest had taken insulin in preparation for the meal that never arrived. a very disappointing experience to say the least.

Food arrived cold and prepared wrong. Replacements were just as bad. Server was apologetic and nice but we won’t go back - too bad as we have gone for years. Beryl overpriced $100 breakfast for 3 with zero items being special or elevated.

We were there celebrating a special birthday had 6 people and the bill was large. Was surprised we were not offered a free dessert. Also don’t like that you have to pay with a computer at the table confusing for older people

Kona is a little expensive but we like the food. Not sure the New York Strip was worth the $43, but everything else was good. Morgan was a nice server.

We had a great waiter and friendly service. We ordered Las Vegas rolls and split the macadamia nut chicken. Some of the Las Vegas rolls were very cold in the middle, but the chicken was great. There were a lot of people but there wasn't a wait and it was quiet.

The service was great! Ordered Miso soup and had to clarify with the waiter as the cost of the bowl was 13.00! We thought it was a typo.’ It came out and was too salty so we ended up not even eating it . Other than the soup the food was good but overall prices are outrageous.

I have never complained about food at a restaurant and I couldn’t bring myself to do so. In retrospect, I realize it would have been more helpful to just feel bad about speaking up, because the steaks were inedible. Bite after bite, we each had to spit the gristle out. I’m not even talking about fat or even one or two bites of gristle. Just bite after bite of hard, impossible to chew gristle. Our waiter wanted to know if we wanted to go boxes because we had so much left. It was so unpleasant, I don’t know if I’ll want steak again for a very long time. Maybe this is just not the place for steak! The Brussels sprouts were quite good.

This was a Valentine's Day visit, so please take it for what it is worth. I called the restaurant and asked if they were running a special menu or their regular menu for Valentines Day. I was told the regular menu. When I got there it was a shortened regular menu with a special menu. There were sufficient items on the menu for me and my family. There were six of us. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. We ordered. I got a White Old Fashion, which I got mid meal about 30 min later, but it was fantastic. I would have gotten another one or maybe too, but it took so long to get, I didn't think it would make it by the completion of the meal. The music was loud, My daughter chose this restaurant as she said it was where her and her friends go after she got off work at the steakhouse next door. She said this was normal, and it always is loud, and it did create a good environment. The server was attentive, her section was too big, she was nice. I'm sure that having that big of a section was tough. Food was delivered in pieces, not everyone got their items as the same time. Everyone agreed that the food was "OK", but we also all agreed it was cold. My green beans were almost refrigerator cold, not room temp. My Med Rare steak was well done and half of it was burnt. I ate it, I was starving. We did let the server know they were responsive and offered to make us something else, and we passed as we did eat a good portion of our dishes. Maybe this restaurant is better on normal days. Maybe it's not. I won't go back to find out. I was shocked they had so many available reservations on a busy holiday when I booked the reservation. It isn't to execute well these days with staffing, but for the price point you can go somewhere where there is a better focus on the details.

Steaks were cooked and consistently. My husband and I ordered the same thing and one came out hard as a rock and the other one was bloody. We notified the manager and he just apologized and did nothing else. The quality of the food was comparable to Applebee’s, but the prices were reflective of quality steakhouse

No impressed … Our waiter up sold my 10-year-old on an entire second entrée without asking if it was OK before putting in the order and when I tried to change it, he told me it was too late that he already put it in. The bill for dinner for me, and my two children with astronomical. Completely unnecessary.

Overall good food and good service. Main downfall is cost. $25 for a burger and fries or $25 for Poke Salad is way overpriced for portion size.

Great food options. Everything was delicious! Need more stable booth seat backs though: Sat in small booth with another couple in booth behind us and unfortunately I could feel the seat back bounce throughout our meal as the other person was simply talking and gesturing.
