Waited 15 minutes before a waiter came to us. Didn't offer water. Has the cheap restaurant consoles to pay, which is very tacky especially given the prices. Hadn't been to Kona in 10 years. Completely different than i remember it being. Felt like an Applebees.

We do like Kona. As prices rise and food quality seems to diminish we go less.

Appetizers came out in a reasonable amount of time. Entree’s were extremely late, had to ask several times.

We had reservations at 1p. We were prepared for it to be busy because it was Mother's Day. We were happy to be seated promptly at our reservation time. That is when all of the positive thoughts ended. Our waiter promptly told us that food was running 35-45 minutes just so we were aware. We decided to order food right away with our drinks since we would be waiting anyways. At this point we were understanding. About 40 mins passed and we finally got our waiter's attention to see where our DRINKS were! He apologized and said they had run out of glasses. Most of us had water/soda but a couple of us ordered wine and a bottled beer which they couldn't have been out of glasses for. We got the drinks about 10 minutes later. Two in our party had ordered Sushi. After we had been there about 1.5 hours, the Sushi came out. It was my mother and my husband's mother who had ordered the Sushi and we told them to go ahead and eat. About 20 minutes later, when we thought the rest of our food had to be coming soon, our waiter came out to tell us that what some of us had ordered was no longer available. At that point, we told him we just needed to leave. He removed the other orders from our ticket so we could pay. We were glad our moms ate as that was the main goal of the outing. My husband and I took the kids to McDonalds. Our opinion is this was a management issue. This was a heavily marketed "Mother's Day Brunch" and they were clearly unprepared. Most people had reservations which should have helped them with ordering supplies/food. The servers were literally at the chef's counter fighting over plates of food because they wanted to serve their tables. The manager walked around and did not address a single table because he already knew it was bad. There should have been an EXPO process implemented because it was so chaotic.

Hands down the worse dining experience I have had. My kids and I went out for Mother's Day. We had a reservation for 3 at 12:45 p.m., we arrived on time and were promptly taken to our table. When greeted by the server, he said that food was taking about 30 minutes because they were busy. I confirmed, acknowledging that Mother's Day is going to be busy and 30 minutes was okay. We ordered an edamame appetizer that took 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrive at the table. Our main course finally arrived at just over 2 hours. When the food was delivered to our table a manager approached us for the first time during our visit asking how the food looked. I advised the food looked fine but we hadn't tasted it yet and I was hesitant because I had seen plates of food sitting in the window for over a half hour. I also voiced my opinion that the kitchen was being poorly run and I hadn't seen any managers jump behind the line to help out. The manager left our table and did not return. After delivering our food, the server didn't return to the table to refill drinks or check to see if the food was okay. When the bill was delivered without any adjustments, the server offered $20 off. We paid and will not ever return.

Ruined our Mother's Day brunch plans. We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately. That's when the goodness of this celebratory day was ruined. We waited over 90 minutes for our food to arrive. Our server apologized and was sincere, but the entire dining experience was very unsatisfactory. The reservation system apparently wasn't capped at the table # of the restaurant. Many tables of upset diners all around us. Several just walked out due to the excessive wait times. This is not the way to run a restaurant. We ordered the American Fare (scrambled eggs, potatoes, toast, sausage and bacon) Of course it wasn't perfect and the meat and toast were both charred. I like Kona Grill but this experience has soured me on ever eating there again.
