    We were there for Happy Hour & a Birthday Service was great & the food was all served hot & delicious. Definitely worth it.

    This place desperately tries to milk each big holiday for everything they can. It appears to be all about the money at the expense of providing good quality food with good quality service. On holidays here all that goes right out the window. There was obviously a reason they had so much last minute availability on Mothers Day. There was no comparable place within any reasonable driving distance that had any openings but this place and now I know why. The family at the table next to us with little kids mind you had been there two and a half hours and had just finished eating when we sat down. Another larger family near us had been there three hours and still hadn’t gotten their main entrees. They ended up leaving very irate. Waitresses were overwhelmed and taking the brunt of patrons anger. Management was absolutely worthless as well. One manager I stopped said she would go find out about our food and never came back. Just a comedy of errors all around and I can’t imagine how many Mother’s Days were ruined by this greedy establishment. We won’t be back and we’ll be sure to let people know they have plenty of other valid choices besides this dump.

    I went on mother’s day so it was kinda crazy in there. I got the ribeye meatballs to start off they was fine nothing special. For my main course i ordered the surf and turf ribeye and shrimp my steak had no seasoning at all it was bloody i asked for medium well the shrimp was over cooked my boyfriend had the steak burger with fries and it was fine you really cant go wrong with a burger. Oh my silverware was dirty i asked for more and never received another so i ate with my hands and butter knife because they also didnt give me a knife for my steak i didnt have a great experience i hear the sushi is good maybe i should have tried again but overall 2/10

    Food was served 2 hours 30 minutes after reservation time. Otgers left after being seated because of the delay. Waited 45 minutes to be seated. Ordered immediately. Waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for food. The order was incorrect on multiple items. I will never eat there again.

    Booked for Mother’s Day and horrible decision! Came ON TIME! And was told we had to wait 15mins, no problem but then we hear that everyone is being told that and the parties that were already waiting have been told they’ve been waiting close to an hour and guess what was told to wait only 15mins! Set after waiting 40mins to be told food will take an hour to come out! Maybe for brunch but wouldn’t book for important holidays

    Our reservations were for 5:15 but we got seated at 6:15. Our drinks cost over$17 and had little to no alcohol. Our sushi was good but overpriced. Our calamari came about 30 minutes after the sushi ice cold and soggy. Then our dinner finally came and it was ok. The server was very sweet but definitely under staffed for Mothers Day. Our bill was $240 and worth maybe $125 Will not be returning…

    Really bad experience, we went for Mother's Day and it was a madhouse. Ww were sat ~30 mins after our reservation time and our food (sushi not even warm food) took an hour+, we had to cancel my small children's food because we were waiting so long, we left and the kids weren't fed. Huge problem in operations. We wont be going back ever.

    Had reservations. Waited 15 minutes to be seated which was acceptable; Waited 1.5 hours and food was not served; That was not acceptable. Only after inquiring did they volunteer that they were having trouble in the kitchen, and they apparently had no idea when it would be served. No compensation offered whatsoever. We left and will never come back. Noted also that other patrons were upset and also walked out.

    I give it one star because of the bad service on of all days Mother’s Day! We had a 4:45 reservation and didn’t get seated until 5:20. The waitress was new but considering did well with getting us drinks quickly but the food service was very late. We didn’t get our appetizer until more than an hour later and our entrees until after 7:00. We had to ask a few times if we were even going to be serviced or have to leave hungry and go elsewhere. They obviously overbooked and couldn’t meet the demand and was focused more on to go orders then the people inside the restaurant! Some people left without getting their food because of this! We were comped for our drinks and for our appetizer. They would have comped a desert but we didn’t want to wait to get it!

    I would not recommend Kona Grill for Mother's Day. With a reservation, we waited 2 hours for our food to come to the table. They had a limited menu, and they were understaffed. Compared to other restaurants we visited on Monther's day in that area, they were not able to handle the crowd

    I understand finding help is difficult these days - but waiting an hour for a soup and salad and being a busy Sunday (Mothers Day), perhaps better planning on staff? I think pricing was a bit high for what you get - fish and chips - outrageously priced for one long piece of cod. Salad was good, not sure if the macadamian nut crusted chicken should have been warm on the salad it came cold and was a bit greasy. I will try this place one more time, only the sushi.

    It took us over an hour to get our meals delivered. It took over 30 minutes to get deserts which were just cakes. No one would pre bus our table forcing us to ask someone to do it. Many of our party waited for waters. Drinks from the bar were relatively the fast thing. Some of the food was cold. They did not have enough staff for the number of reservations.

    The worst Mothers Day lunch ever! It left us with headaches due to not getting to eat 50 minutes after ordering, then the surf and turf was dry/tasteless! The waiter didn’t help after we complained and manager tried to help but failed on getting my wife any new food! Then they had the nerve to only take off $40 from our bill! We had to pay over $100 for a garbage lunch. I would never go back there and not recommend to anyone! I’m telling my 300 friends not to go there!

    We went on Mother's Day around lunch-time. We were seated right away and our waiter came to the table pretty soon after to take drink orders. We received our drinks (dirty water glasses with stuff floating in some of the waters) pretty quickly and ordered an appetizer that came with only cut up fruit, whip cream and caramel sauce. Then the waiting game began. The appetizer took over 20 minutes to get to our table and the whip cream bowl had strawberry remains in it from someone else, so we had to wait longer to start eating the appetizer. The plates presented to us for the appetizer were also dirty. The food finally arrived and at least after all the wait it tasted good. Start to finish, over two hours to eat. I enjoy talking and stretching out a meal, but when you have empty plates for almost an hour of the eating experience, that is far too long. I understand this was Mother's Day and to be patient with dining times, but for me and my family, the long waiting, without much attention at our table was too much for me to return to Kona Grill.

    We were a party of 4 and one of the only people at the restaurant when we arrived for brunch. They could not get our order right and the sushi had a piece of hair in it. Our server kept apologizing but it was not his fault. First and last time we visit Kina Grill.

    We sat at a high top in the bar and ordered a roll that was lit on fire. The avocado egg rolls were delicious! I had a margarita flight and my fiancé had a Blue Moon. He had a fried chicken sandwich and I had chicken skewers. Our server was nice & efficient and we could settle our bill on the tablet at the table. We’d come back again!

    Haven't been here since pre-Covid but food quality is not what it once was (they use imitation crab in their sushi for example). Filling for the lettuce wraps tasted like it had giardiniera in it and since they didn't serve it with firm romaine lettuce stalks, it was a challenge to eat. Very disappointing. I hope they can make some corrections and improve the food quality since it used to be one of my favorite restaurants.

    Kona used to be my favorite restaurant in the area but it has not kept up with the times. Menu is boring, prices have gone up without any kind of innovation or portion change to warrant the increase in price.

    Way overpriced. Took my son there, no alcohol and the bill was $150. He did get 3 sushi rolls and I got one entree. Each of the rolls was $20+. We had soft drinks and one app which was $21 for 5 pot stickers. My entree was apparently a recipe that was changed and it was terrible. My sons sushi had very little fish to fill the roll which was overcompensated with avocado. I used to go there all the time but it’s changed. We won’t be back.

    I often remind myself to avoid rushing to judgment based on first impressions. This mantra proved valuable during my recent visit to Kona Grill, booked via OpenTable—an app that rarely lets me down. The online photographs of the restaurant were promising, though they offered little insight into the ambiance. Upon arrival, I noted the setting was more casual than anticipated, but the warm welcome from my server, Paige, convinced me to stay. Paige was knowledgeable and attentive, expertly guiding me through the menu. She recommended the Ribeye Meatballs—a succulent combination of shallots, shiitake mushrooms, macadamia nuts, a chili glaze, and a creamy peppercorn sauce. The dish was an unexpected delight. Encouraged by Paige's impeccable taste, I also tried the Sweet-Chili Glazed Salmon served over fried rice. The pairing was innovative and flavorful, challenging traditional plating methods with its bold textures and tastes. I concluded the meal with a cappuccino, which arrived charmingly accompanied by a rock candy stirrer—a whimsical touch that rounded off the dining experience pleasantly. A heartfelt thanks to both Paige and Mario, the General Manager, for their exceptional hospitality that transformed a simple meal into a memorable culinary adventure.

    Three people, couple steaks, fish and sushi. $280. NO DRINKS. Super expensive. We ordered medium rare, both steaks came out well done. Asked waiter, he agreed. Sent them back. Took 15 minutes, ate all our sushi, person with fish ate it all. Finally, 2nd stakes came back, again, well done. She asked us how they were and I said, I'm hungry, its fine, whatever. I wasn't going to send steaks back yet again. I hate sending back food that I know they will just throw away. They offered us absolutely nothing. Manager never apologized. Check came. $280, no joke. Crazy. We will never, ever visit here again.

    Appetizers are overpriced for small portions; charge $9 for a bottle of root beer - yikes. Sea Bass is amazing. Shrimp tacos are crazy spicy.
