Good food, great Happy Hour prices for food and bev (I had a flatbread, 2 shrimp tacos, and 2 glasses of wine and with a 20% tip it was about $25!) Not too noisy, really enjoyed ourselves.

Expected less mistakes (food order) however, was Mother’s Day and very busy so understand that it’s harder to keep up… they seemed to do their best to resolve issues on incorrect food… will still go back…

Always nice to go out on Mother's Day and be able to order off the menu rather than a buffet. Our server was very cordial but didn't know the menu real well. We had to ask for a lot of extra things that he should have really figured out. It was a good experience over all.

Food was good, but it took SO LONG to get our food that I didn’t have time to eat all my food since we were going to a concert after. Our reservation was at 5:15, but we didn’t get our food till 6:23.

Waiter was helpful and fun. The Cobb salad with salmon was one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Great lunch!

Food was good. It was nice and quiet around lunch time so it was easy to talk with eachother. Servers were friendly and responsive to questions and requests. Overall very good experience.

Food was good, had the sampler margaritas, which was great. Only problem was they didn’t have candle 🕯️ for cake and it was my birthday. Second year I’ve been here on my birthday and encountered the same issue. Not great for celebrating birthdays I guess 🤷🏾‍♀️.

I was very disappointed in our dinner and the slow service. Every part of our appetizer, meal, drinks and dessert took a minimum 20-30 minutes to arrive at our table. The appetizer and sushi rolls were great; I would NOT recommend the steaks. They were cold and overcooked. The staff could do better by communicating with guests that the steaks are not what you would get at other restaurants; they are thin and pre-pared more on the well done side. I would of opted for another meal; had I known.

First in on Sunday. Waited 30 minutes for cinnamon roll. Entrees were slow and my crab Benedict was on the cool side. Waitperson hung out in the kitchen and we had to flag here a few times to get her attention as well as a coffee refill. Not my best experience but won’t stop me from returning. Been going monthly, or more, since the day they opened. Everyone is entitled to an off day. PS…Wish they’d change the music venue. Not relaxing and loud.

The Kona Calamari was very good and I would recommend trying it if you go. Not breaded like other places. However, the Australian Wagyu Picanha was small, tough and grisly. Horribly overpriced. We also tried the Wave sushi/sashimi and it was bland tasting. Not a very flavorful item. When we went to pay on their "self-pay" machine, it charged us extra for playing games that we did not do/play. There are way too many places to go for a good meal. Sorry, but Kona is just no longer on my list. Maybe for a few drinks and an appetizer, but go someplace else for dinner.

First time at KG last night, really impressed with Madison (our waitress). She was VERY knowledgeable about the menu items and gave excellent recommendations. The watermelon margarita was phenomenal and the crunchy spicy tuna roll was also AMAZING! My husband and I will definitely be back for happy hour.

It was so cold in the "patio" part Saturday night. In general, I am not a fan of sitting over there in the patio furniture. I find the metal chairs uncomfortable and cold. Sitting by the window is worse, it is always freezing. Additionally, our server was not very attentive and left dirty dishes on our table even as new food was coming out. Our water glasses were often empty and she never asked if we wanted another drink. Finally, it is really disappointing that there aren't more gluten free options. It would be so easy to slightly modify a couple of items as intended and mark them GF rather than to have to explain to the server how to do it and then trust it is done when the food arrives. There are some easy substitutions that could be done and then increase the price for the entire dish by $0.50-$1 to substantiate the change. Something as simple as substituting Tamari for regular soy sauce in a sauce all the time would really open up the offerings and more people would be interested in eating here. Whenever someone suggests Kona, I always ask to go somewhere else.

The food is very good, we had the tuna tartare, green beans chicken satay and some breakfast entrees. All of it was good. Our server, Victoria, was awesome and made our brunch better.

Delicious food great service and even got a free dessert as a thank you for using opentable. My only downsides were if you don't want seafood the menu is limited and we got a sea scallop slider appetizer which was delicious but only had 2 sliders for $24! It was delicious but hardly enough for a shareable appetizer.

Used to enjoy very much....but struggling with the expense. Not one appetizer under $20? Not counting soup. Green beans have no flavor and a "tropical" type food restaurant, they could be so much more. Sushi good. KG sauce num!

Went there for restaurant week. The Salmon was dry. Ordered the prime rib. 30 minutes later they came out and said they were out of prime rib. So ordered filet and shrimp, filet turned out to be cheaper, tough meat. They were probably out of the filet too! Chicken was very dry. Cheesecake was frozen solid. Won't go back.

Terrible service. Took almost 1 hour to get appetizer - dinner was served first. Waitress didn’t even bother to check in on us or update us about the situation. I had to ask her. She said someone else too out order and it would be out “any minute” but it was more than 15 minutes. I went to the manager and he seemed to help get it out. He apologized but she never did. She was defensive. App was under cooked. Disappointing

My friend from out of town met me there for Restaurant Week lunch. All 3 courses were good, the Asian salad wasn’t outstanding but it was good. I had the hamburger which I enjoyed over 3 meals. My friend had the pad Thai and didn’t want to take home her leftovers like I did. Carrot cake for my dessert was terrific and my friend cleaned her plate with the cheesecake. Great value.

. Can’t comment on anything other than the service which was entirely non existent. We were seated promptly and that was it. No one ever came back to our table. We never got water or drinks or a server. We sat there and watched other groups be seated and get their food. We waited 30 minutes and then just got up and left. No one noticed or seem to care. Too bad because we were looking forward to it.

We made reservations for Friday the week of Valentine’s Day. We were very excited because we have had great meals here in the past. This time was different however. It was completely packed and quite loud. We ordered drinks and they took about 10 to 15 minutes to come out. My wife ordered the prime rib and I ordered the surf and turf and it took about 45 minutes till it hit our table. My wife’s prime rib was ordered, medium rare, but it came out gray as if it was just microwaved. The mashed potatoes that came with it were dry and not very edible. my ribeye was thin but cooked to temperature correctly but the beans looked shriveled and very non-existent. The shrimp skewer that came with my surf and turf were small and overcooked. My wife asked for the waitress to get her something else and take back the gray prime rib. She was friendly and said she agreed that it should not have been served. so my wife ordered a sushi roll and it literally took 35 minutes to get that. We ended up leaving 30 minutes and as we were leaving the roll came out. We had canceled the roll with the waitress, but they still attempted to bring it. Overall, I am very disappointed in our experience there. The waitress was kind and friendly, but had way too many tables. The food is extremely expensive for the quality you get. I would not recommend any of the steaks or prime rib. But the rolls there are usually to die for. This was supposed to be our date night out for Valentine’s Day and unfortunately my wife left hungry and I still ended up paying close to $100 for my meal some brussels sprouts and two drinks. For the money I would rather go to Mannys or Pittsburgh blue for real steak or just get the rolls next time.
