This is the worst restaurant I've ever been in. The waitress would not bring drinks from the bar after ordering them. Saying the bar was backed up. After waiting 30+ minutes for a beer, we just walked up to the bar and the transaction took less than 30 seconds. (All 3 times we did it)For a 6:30 reservation we were finally seated at 7:30.... Outside, next to a love rock band. The waitress would not even refill water or lemonade, but the bar will.From the hostess, to the waitress, to the manager. This restaurant is terrible. Hopefully this review will help somebody not have an awful birthday dinner like we did.

Very busy due to local prom and first beautiful Sat in a while, but server was awesome and exceptionally nice and helpful.

Service was excellent! However, prices just seem to keep going up and my salad was almost all lettuce with very little of the egg, cheese, bacon and avocado they advertise. I ordered a chopped salad.. not a head of lettuce.

The food took close if not over an hour to come out after ordering. Nothing fancy at that. The shrimp tacos had more popcorn shrimp size and the portions were not enough for a child. Service was horrible! Not attentive and not accommodating. Sad to have spent my son’s senior prom dinner with his friends here.

We used to go to Kona quite often and quite liked it; it's been about 3 years since our last visit. While the food itself was still good, the experience was filled with multiple issues. The event was a family dinner for my daughter with my husband and 3 kids (15, 12, 10). We were seated at a table in full sun, no shades...we ended up asking to move (only 1 other table was occupied). Our new table was so loud we couldn't hear each other or the server...eventually, we asked for music to be turned down, but it was still just generally loud throughout the meal. My husband ordered a rum and coke zero with Mount Gay. The confusion for his drink was insane. Server seemed clueless, bar manager came over to ask him what it was, then a rum and soda arrived which we sent back. Eventually, the right drink came, but it shouldn't have been that hard...and we were charged $16 while specialty cocktails are $14. We ordered sushi as an appetizer plus mains. It all arrived at once - not ideal. She brought us 2 sushi settings for 5 people...had to ask for more and still were short a plate. For $200 before tip, I won't be back any time soon. It was both stressful and comical.

Terrible seating... We had a reservation, but we were still seated in the bar area near the door. Which was way too close to the hostess stand. By the end of the dinner people wating for a table were standing all around our table. Some of the drinks on the menu were not available and the chicken stir fry had very little chicken. Overall this is the worst Kona Grill I have been to in the whole country.

It smelled like sewage at our table. It didn’t in the restroom but this definitely changed our impression of the restaurant and the food.

Although My grandson and I enjoyed our meal and the server was great, however the hostess obviously didn't like her job. She is the first person your guest see, and she was not friendly at all. That definitely put a damper on our overall experience.

Unfortunately this place is never good. I had to go for a friends gathering and someone else picked this place. We were initially sat at a table and the hostess literally tossed the menus on the table without saying a word. We had an extra person so we got moved upstairs except it was so loud from music. The waiter who was kind but brought me the wrong drink twice. Third time got it right but was still charged for the drink. The meatballs were actually ok but 22 dollars for 4 meatballs that are the size of a golf ball. The margarita that I got was 16 dollars. Wave roll was ok but once again $$$. Will do my best to never have to come back here. Save yourself some money and go to any other restaurant in liberty.

We have had good experiences before, but this was not one of them. We checked in 5 minutes before our reservation and was told there would be a 20 minute wait. 50 minutes later we had to ask what was going on…..why have a reservation if you have to wait an hour? We won’t be back for awhile.

Dined in today for work lunch to show appreciation to my Supervisor. She enjoyed her Sushi roll. I enjoyed my tomato basil soup. There was an issue with the machine used to pay for our meal of which turned out to be ok. Overall our server was very detail oriented and presented with a very professional mannerism. My Supervisor was pleased with the moment.

What a perfect way to end my birthday celebration! Kona was truly the icing on the cake. Our server, Collin, was honestly the best server I’ve had in quite sometime! He was enthusiastic, helpful and EVERYTHING he recommended was DELICIOUS! Even the drinks we ordered, Collin doubled as our bartender and did not disappoint! I ordered a emojito, but wanted something different so he added raspberry and even garnished it with cucumber. The drink was surprisingly refreshing and such a pleasant twist on my favorite drink! The fire dragon sushi was IMPRESSIVE and in all my years of coming here I’m shocked it was never recommended before! The table side fire show was fun and a nice touch! This sushi dish was one of the most flavorful I’ve had and I will definitely be ordering again. So go to Kona and request Collin. 10/10 five star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️experience

Not a birthday dinner we were hoping for, but it has potential to be much better. Location is great. However, it smelled like a sewer as soon as we entered. The host wasn’t friendly but server was very nice. Then we decided to order the date night menu. We ordered a “Bubbles” that didn’t have any bubbles and tasted like it was sitting out for a week. The Pinot Noir also was horrible. The Calamari was under cooked and Salmon over cooked. Poke Bowl tasted good, and the a cheesecake was a joke to look at. We ordered other drinks which were ok. At the end I complained about the Bubbles and Pinot Noir which we didn’t drink. So the subbed the other drinks in it place. The waitress said, I didn’t think you’d like the drinks most people don’t and they are the cheapest. And of course no mention of a birthday celebration at thought they called to confirm. I didn’t want to come off like a jerk while I was there, but who ever came up with this date night menu is the reason I won’t be back. If you need to charge more money to have a special menu did it so you don’t kill your brand. If you want to have a value menu option, sell it as a value. Not a special night menu.

Food was yummy, and good portions! A bit pricey overall but not unbearable. The service was okay. We had booked for a standard table and when we arrived were told there would be a 15 minute wait past our reservation time due to staffing issues. They said if we were okay with a high top we could be seated immediately which was fine with us so we sat at our reserved time. Unfortunately due to the staffing issues the service wasn’t super attentive and the servers seemed overwhelmed even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy when we dined. We’ve eaten here before and would still go back, but hopefully they can staff the restaurant a bit better in the future.

The food was just ok but for the price we expected much better quality and taste. Definitely not a good value for what was presented.

I will admit that in the past, we were underwhelmed with our visits. The food was fine, portions were small and expensive for what we ordered and so we haven't really wanted to give it another try. However, we were celebrating both our grandson', and our daughter's birthdays and they both love sushi and carrot cake! We were SO VERY happy we gave Kona Grill another try. It was an excellent meal (still pricey), but the portions were generous, so it is great that they have taken the criticism to heart....and fixed the problem. We ordered a bit of everything from appetizers to cooked sushi rolls to salmon and ribs and steak and chicken.....all delicious. And our waitress, Shereen, was outstanding and brought out a huge slice of carrot cake with 2 candles with lots of forks for sharing (on her tab, not ours)! Try Kona Grill again....but watch what you are ordering so the price is expected when the bill arrives!

Our waitress was great. She was very friendly and attentive. However, my food was not the greatest. We chose this place to celebrate our anniversary and sadly I was disappointed. I got the ribeye and it was flavorless and the potatoes were incredibly dry and only some had salt and pepper while the rest seemed plain.

The manager came to our table to explain the $29 Surf and Turf Leap Day Special which normally costs $48. He thanked us for coming and was very professional. The food and service were both excellent!

Overall experience was poor!! Service was slow, food is overpriced for the portions, drink are way overpriced charged me to a drink on the rocks!

Omg so good! We did the $39 steak dinner for me & GF. Ben was so awesome helping us w a sushi recommendation (Rainbow roll was perfect) and ensured we were taken care of. Ordered Ribeye Medium Rare was cooked more rare than I felt was what I asked for, but don’t be mistaken, it was a juicy & tender delicious piece of well cut / prepped / cooked meat. 100% will be back + BONUS we got sat next to the fish aquarium! 👏😁

We made reservations at 7pm 3 days prior for a belated Valentine’s Day dinner. Once we got there, it was extremely busy with multiple parties waiting to be seated. We were seated around 7:45. Our waitress was excellent; quick, friendly, and cooperative. The only issue was we were seated in the outdoor space. Since we had made reservations, it was assumed we would have slightly better seating, at least in the main area of the restaurant. We were seated next to the exit, which made it cold the entire duration of the dinner. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was pleasant.
