We went to the Kona grill for Mother’s Day dinner. After our server brought us a drink we didn’t see her for over 30 min. And whenwe ordered a second drink it took over 30 min to get our drinks. We had placed our food order at that time and we didn’t get our food for over a hour. When we did get our food it was barely warm and for a $50. Steak I was disappointed in the quality of it(over cooked and tough). I understand it was busy but our waitress hardly ever came to check on our drinks or keep us informed of how our food was coming. Over all not a very pleasant Mother’s Day dinner experience.

We had another great evening. We celebrated Mother’s Day. The food was delicious and our server was awesome. She made our evening even more special. We look forward to our next Kona Grill dinning experience.

Went on Mother's Day- overall I would say it was average at best. The music is far too loud for a restaurant- can't really hear each other. Wait for food was way too long- it's Mother's Day and I don't feel they were prepared. Rather than compensating people for the wait they just asked and if you didn't like it you could leave, not the greatest approach to customer service. In addition, I do feel the overall price of food is too high for what you get. We went because they take reservations- next time we'll try somewhere else

I’m totally keeping in mind that it was Mother’s Day and that I should expect things to be a bit more busy. However Kona really stepped things up yesterday. We made our reservations in advance so a table wait wouldn’t be a problem, since we have an 18mo old son with the patience of a gerbil. So here go all of my issues. 1. They packed in more tables than they normally would. This wouldn’t be an issue except that with more people being seated, the wait time for food was growing. It wasn’t until after we ordered that we were told kitchen times were at an hour+. What do they expect us to do at that point? 2. Their Mother’s Day menu, while simplified to accommodate the anticipated high number of guests, was HIGHLY inflated. On any weekday you can get a burger and beer for $9. On Sunday afternoon it ran us $22. 3. The portions were insanely small and almost every dish, with the exception of my son’s bento box, had some element missing or incorrect. I paid $21 for a sushi roll that consisted of 6 -1/2” slices then was set inside a massive puddle of eel sauce. The server explained that it hey can’t cut that one into 8 slices because it doesn’t hold up in the fryer. I think it’s because it was physically impossible to slice that tiny roll any thinner. When trying to get our server to address some of the issues, he was nowhere to be found. We finally got help from a food runner that was able to bring our missing items. Not going back 👎🏼

Really cool ambiance and location. Food looked good, but the seasoning was extremely bland. We had the macadamia nut chicken and chopped salad. The chicken needed some spice, hot sauce or more of the tiny amount of marmalade they give you. Potatoes were very bland and dry, which for mashed potatoes were as a surprise. Salad wasn’t very good, barely and cheese, tiny bit of bacon and a small amount of chicken if you add it. Far too many grape tomatoes for us. Service wasn’t the greatest either, took forever to flag down the waiter and for the prices, doubt we’ll ever go back. The marketing and photos of food look far better than the delivery.

It was Mother’s Day so I am sure that’s what contributed to the long wait for food. Our server was awesome. Our main complaint was the fish and chips was $37 for a mediumish size filet and fries that weren’t quite cooked all the way through. Definitely should be priced in the $20-25 range, and improve the fish.

We were seated 45 minutes after our reservation. We were warned that the kitchen was behind, but did not expect to wait an hour for food, which came out cold and overcooked. The only good thing about the meal was our server.

Got seated for our reservation almost 30 minutes late. Waited 15 minutes for drinks and then 20 for the appetizer. Paid the bill and left.

Our food wasn’t correct and missing several items. We waited 45 minutes after our reservation to sit again without anyone getting us water or anything. Felt bad the waitress said to not worry about a tip because everything but out of her control so we gave her cash. Feel bad for the employee and doesn’t affect the business.

Worst brunch ever. Waited over 2 hours and our food wasn’t even being prepared. Made the reservation weeks in advance to enjoy Mother’s Day and Kona completely ruined that. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

We waited 76 minutes from the time we ordered until we got our food. It was ‘Mother’s Day’ and it felt like Kona Grill didn’t staff enough to support their kitchen. The food was good but way too long of a wait and they didn’t offer to comp any drinks or anything for the wait.

First, we requested outdoor seating and when we arrived we were told that outdoor seating was first come, first serve… news to us since Open Table allowed us to choose outdoor seating. Second, brunch was incredibly expensive for what you got $19 Pancakes. Third, we asked the price of Mimosas and we were told they were $9 each, when in reality they were $14 each and they tasted watered down. Last, the restaurant was extremely loud with no ambiance created by Rock DJ. We went here last year for Mothers Day Brunch and it was incredible… not at all this year. Such a shame.

While their food is good, it's overpriced. We went for Mother's Day brunch, and they needed more staff. Our server was friendly but overwhelmed, and she couldn't check on us as often as she should have. We ran out of water and had to wait for other drinks. The food was slow, and mine was overcooked and cold. I've been here before and had a better experience, so I'm attributing the "mistakes" to the fact that it was a busier day than usual. Overall, I don't recommend it. There is nothing spectacular about it and it's expensive for what you get ($20 for six potstickers, $30 for crab benedict is steeper than it should be).

We went to Kona Grill for Mothers day. The music was so loud We couldn't hear ourselves talk. When we got seated, we waited forty five minutes for anyone to take our drink order. Then, after that We waited another forty minutes to get our food. We did have a reservation, But I feel like they were not prepared for the amount of people. We were given a discount on our bill, but still a rather unfortunate experience.

Dinner service is always great food , however we did Mother’s Day brunch. The food was subpar the coffee was cold and after being the 1st ones in for breakfast we didn’t receive our food and hot coffee for 40 minutes.

We were a party of seven celebrating Mother’s Day. We all enjoyed our food and had good service. One small glitch was that my sister has been to Kona Grill many times and always gets the macadamia nut chicken entree so she is very familiar with the taste of that dish. This time however the sauce was so salty she couldn’t eat it. I tried a bite and had to agree with her that it was way too salty. I have also enjoyed that dish in the past. So maybe the cook over seasoned it last night.

Moi was very knowledgeable about the different dishes. He gave excellent recommendations for our meal and desserts. Moi was so attentive to us. We had a wonderful experience at Kona Grill!! The food was delicious! The sauces were so tasty. The timing between appetizers and dinner was perfect. We will be back!!

I've always loved the patio, but it's a little too loud, service took forever, things were constantly forgotten or missing. The food was fine once we got it. I used to recommend this place to everyone but it's gone down hill for sure.

First visit. The server was good. He did most everything very well. The food took an hour and seemed excessively priced for the quality and quantity ($25 for a burger and fries?). It was good but In N Out is a better burger for a third of the price. Kids entree was barely warm and the high chair was filthy - it very obviously didn’t get a good clean - something I would expect for a pricey restaurant! I just can’t recommend as a good experience. Again, especially for the price.

It was a bigger group and so the VERY loud music was hard to enjoy our time together to chat. We had to yell. Our server was not very attentive either. We also showed up for our reservation of 10 to be sat down at a table sat for 8 so had to squeeze in to make the 10 work.

While the service we received was commendable, and our server truly shone with her attentive and professional demeanor, the culinary experience left much to be desired. The noise level in the restaurant was notably high, bordering on overwhelming, making it difficult to enjoy a relaxing meal. If there had been an option to rate the noise as "too loud," I would have opted for that. On a positive note, one of the managers handled our dissatisfaction with grace and attentiveness, which we greatly appreciated. Nevertheless, the food did not meet our expectations, and this alone will keep us from returning.

This was our first time eating at Kona Grill. The waiter was exceptional and very attentive. The manager visited our table twice to make sure all was good. Great good. Enjoyed every bite. We will return for sure. Highly recommend.

Everything about this restaurant is nice! Our server was great, good was delicious and atmosphere was beautiful. Music playing was a little loud, but we really liked it here! Will definitely be back!

Fantastic food and service. Sushi is delicious but a little pricy for the area.

None of the small overpriced entrees contained all the items as described on the menu. Had to send one entre back. Appreciate the complimentary b/day dessert. $300.00 with tip for 4 adults one child. Won't return or recommend.

We came for happy hour, a couple of rolls, a couple of beers and the shrimp and chicken lettuce wraps. Our waiter came back to our table to tell us they didn't have the lettuce wraps today. Basically that was the dish we came for. We ordered flat bread instead, which was ok but not what we were hoping for. We also ordered sliders. One was tiny, maybe an inch and a quarter wide and the other was twice the size. When we asked they said the sliders are made from Kings Hawaiian rolls and that's what they look like, but I've NEVER seen a Kings Hawaiian roll so small (an inch and a quarter). The two rolls were very good, the service was good, but really neither of us felt like we got what we wanted in the end.

I have had cafeteria food better than this. I can’t even believe what we paid for the quality of food we received. It was awful.

The quality of the food was pretty good, but wait time seemed extra long - about an hour. Wait staff was friendly, happy hour specials were a good value.

The place itself was nice the atmosphere nice but the food and service wasn’t good enough for me to want to come back. We ordered chop salad with grilled chicken and pad Thai noodles. Water and a Diet Coke. We got the wrong drink first and then when the salad came out we didn’t get the grilled chiefken that was an extra $8 so we asked for it and when we got it, it was dry and very small like 4z and I had an empty water cup waiting to get filled twice. They did not charge for the chicken which was nice but I felt that I couldn’t start eating until my wife got her chicken and it just was a long time. Overall they get a 2 out of 5. Do better.
