    absolutley horrible service. they pared down the menu to serve food faster and it still took an hour to get 3 appetizers.

    Had not received our food an hour and a half after we checked in, but management and staff got involved and took care of the matter in a professional manner! Music was a little loud for conversation at times.

    Kona Grill was great. They were able to accommodate my party of 12. It was Mother’s Day weekend and service was great. The food came out hot and fresh and our server, I hate I missed her name but she was excellent!!! This wasn’t my first time won’t be my last!!!

    We made reservations for Mothers Day. We arrived early but was told we had to wait for our reservation, which we obliged. We witnessed the hostesses giving patrons without reservations tables before us. We were seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time. Our server took our drink order for lemonade and came back 10 minutes later with water because the “lemonade machine was down”. When she didn’t return to take our food order after waiting over 30 minutes, we asked someone else who appeared to be a manager if someone could take our order, which he did. Our starter was brought out in a reasonable amount of time but without plates or utensils. We had to wait for the server to return to ask for them and our drinks again. The food finally arrived and the server came by again after approximately 30 minutes and we ordered dessert to go. After another 20 minute wait with no dessert and no one to ask for ‘To go’ containers, we finally paid the $150 plus tip bill at the table and left. We had to ask for a printed receipt on the way out and the server approached me at the hostess stand to ask if I got my dessert. I replied no and she just shook her head and walked away. I drove 1 hr 15 minutes for that kind of service. Our poor experience in the restaurant took approximately 2 hours. Won’t be back.

    Was seated right away at reservation time but unfortunately picked a too busy holiday “mother’s day to dine here. Ordered an appetizer and it came out within 5 minutes of ordering and was enjoyable but unfortunately after 1 hr and 7 min of waiting on our main course we left. Manager was nice to comp the appetizer but when we asked how much longer he thought it would be he said “maybe 15” which probably meant another ~30min LOL so we left.

    Where to begin… we had a 1pm reservation and we didn’t get sat until 1:30pm despite the hostess repeatedly telling us it’ll be “just a couple minutes”. Once we were sat, we waited an additional 30 minutes before our server came to get our drink orders after looking at our table three different times while serving other tables around us. Once she did come over, we ordered everything because who knows how long it would be before we got seen again. Another 30 minutes goes by and we get our first appetizer, the calamari, which was overcooked and chewy. Shortly after we did get the ribeye meatballs which were actually pretty good. About 15 mins after that, we got 3/5 of our entrees and we got the other two by the time we had finished the first three. On top of everything, the entrees were extremely underwhelming. One order was wrong. Two orders had dry, overcooked, flavorless salmon. It was an all-around awful experience and we won’t be dining here again.

    On Mother’s Day which is probably the busiest day of the year for brunch the food and service was phenomenal. Our server Grace was magnificent despite the busyness of the restaurant and the day. The kitchen did a fantastic job of getting orders out quickly and correctly. I was thoroughly impressed with Kona Grill.

    reservation was for 1230. We were celebrating Mother’s Day. We ordered at approx 1245. It took over an hour to get our food. We had 3 orders of pancakes, 2 egg breakfast platters and a crab Benedict. Everyone around us was getting their food first even after being seated and hour after us. Our waitress brought drinks and never again offered refills. The egg platters and Benedict were brought out first. 20 mins later we got the pancakes. They were ice cold and frozen in the middle. I told the manager and only asked to have them reheated. He refused and said he would remake them. We didn’t have time. We have been there over 2 hours at that point. The rest of the table had completed the meal. I asked again to simply reheat the pancakes so we could enjoy our food. He refused again. It was a waste of time and money. None of the mothers who were being honored with the brunch actually got to eat. It was such an upsetting experience. For one plate of pancakes with bacon and an order of crab Benedict it was $75. No alcohol was purchased. I will never be returning.

    No complaints about the slow food as it’s to be expected on Mother’s Day but the food was not good. Service was poor as our guy was overwhelmed and couldn’t keep up the pace. All in all, the only thing that was correct was my Diet Coke. Very disappointed and left apologizing to my wife for a bad Mother’s Day brunch.

    First the menu was completely different than advertised. Instead of pancakes and bacon kids were offered lunch only at 10am. Next after 45 mins I asked where my kids food was they said “oh they forgot to pick up your ticket, they’ll make it now”. I asked if they could make my salad without cilantro. It came with it in, so I sent it back bc for $25 salad I’m not picking around the cilantro. It took 45 mins to remake it (again I had to ask about it). The waiter never apologized or checked on me. My family finished their food (which was tasty) and I got my salad to go at that point. Kind of a ruined mothers honestly. The saving grace was I asked to talk to the manager who comped most of our meal. But def wouldn’t go back

    Never received appetizer, wrong size salads and the sushi roll was 85%rice with a small shrimp inside. Not ever going to recommend this place to anyone. Terrible food and poor service.

    Slow. Lots of Waiting. We’ve been twice. Same both times. Lots of people work there but not as a team. Management watched us sitting there with no food or drinks and only came over after we had finally received dinner and drinks. We had half of the food for the 4 of us and waited 10 mins for the other two meals to come out. Both sushi. Food was good. We won’t be back.

    Kona Grill is a nice place, but it seems to be more hype than quality. My Ribeye steak that the server said was amazing, was tough and gristly. The surf part of the surf and turf was a sauce on top of my steak. I was disappointed. The quality was more of what you would expect in a tourist destination where they are not counting on you returning. The ambience is nice and it’s partial open air which makes it feel like a restaurant in Hawaii. I probably won’t return. The parking at Avalon is a nightmare too.

    Wonderful location - friendly server. The pricing is just outrageous for what you get. $21 for a dry flavorless roll, sugary cocktails. I won’t name drop but there is a very highly regarded sushi establishment just a few doors down where your money will be better spent on high quality thoughtful sushi. 😉 This particular night we decided we were over this sad attempt at sushi, closed our tab, and walked over to Marlows because it was late at that point and decided this was the best decision we made all day. Kona - narrow down the menu - either lower your prices or raise your food quality - and all other things remaining the same - we’ll be happy to give it another shot someday.

    The server was a little inexperienced and rude. When does a waiter correct a customer on how to say “salmon”? It’s Kona Grill, not an exclusive 5 star restaurant. Regardless, it’s tacky.

    Water glass ran dry twice. Kitchen was terrible They tried to bring one of our entrees out twice before we ever received our appetizer. Appetizer order was put in well before we placed our meal order. Brought appetizer out with both entrees at the same time. Waiter barely around. Food was tasty but overpriced. This place seemed understaffed and disorganized.

    The food was ok, but not great. The burger and fries were good, the tomato soup was ok, the Pad Thai was not good enough to order again. Based upon the quality of the food it was overpriced.

    We went to Kona Grill to celebrate my Mom’s birthday tonight and had a fabulous time. Our server was Grace, who was super sweet and personable and knowledgeable about the menu. We all enjoyed our food and drinks and over all had a great time. The hosts were also very sweet and helpful.

    Spencer was an excellent server/host. However, the food was okay. The Australian Wagyu was bad; sadly, it was the most expensive dish on the menu. The standard fare was good (burgers, ribs etc). The drinks were great. I'm not excited about repeating at this venue. The location bias makes it so that they might not take this feedback since there's plenty of foot traffic in that area, given that it's in the Avalon, which is quite popular. I should have used the Star Rating of 3.7 and avoided this place.

    We went for Easter brunch and it was fantastic! I had the lobster Eggs Benedict, so yummy! Our waiter was Reid and he was the best! So personable and attentive. I highly recommend Kona Grill!

    I had the chopped salad with chicken—it didn't have bacon or cheese (both listed as ingredients on the menu). The bowl was too small for the amount of salad, making it hard to eat. Lettuce kept falling out of the bowl. Finally, some back ingredients because I was sick after eating it.

    We were excited to go to Kona Grill, receiving many recommendations. 4 of us arrived for our reservation, we were taken to a dirty table with only 3 chairs. It took a good 3 minutes to get a fourth chair. After stopping a few people and being told someone would be right over- that never happened so we cleaned the table and chairs ourselves, using napkins from another table. We waited 43 minutes before anyone came to even ask if we wanted water. I ordered the fire dragon roll- it was supposed to be flaming table side- it wasn’t- when the server never showed up- I just ate it. Second Meal- ribs- were horrible- we had everyone at the table try everyone disliked. Those went uneaten. The lobster mac n cheese was the best thing ordered at our table. The server made 2 appearances at our table- one to take our order- one to give the check. We paid $200 for 4 and left very disappointed. The music was so loud the server kept asking over and over what we were ordering saying sorry the music is so loud I can’t hear what you all are ordering. We also had food brought to our table that was not our order. Overall a horrible experience.

    Food was great! Our server Tori was fantastic! Ease of getting a reservation was also pretty good!

    It is a great place to dine. The chicken and shrimp lettuce wrap is amazing.

    They brought out our Entree before the appetizers and when we raised the concern, it still took a while to get them. The manager was very nice and apologized, offered to cover the cost of the apps. We appreciated that. But the flow of the meal was messed up.

    The food quality isn’t great, service is slow, and sloppy. It’s unfortunate this seems to be the norm and never gets better.

    Pros: Good tasting and we'll presented appetizers Long happy hour Tasty drinks. Food quickly prepared. Cons I had to go seek a server on my own. Took us over 35 minutes to be greeted after being sat outside on a high top. Noticed many other tables sat after us and got served before we were even greeted. I would suggest hosts work to notify servers when a table is sat.

    We love the location But service isn’t great out if 10 times we have gone only twice we have had good service Food had to be sent back/wine glasses dirty And sushi is so slow Everyone got their food and had finished by the people who ordered sushi This is a management issue
