Established in 1998, King’s Fish House is Orange’s choice for seafood. Located at the Stadium Promenade and minutes away from Angels Stadium and the Honda Center, King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily.

We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.

    Food was great but shouldn’t take 2 hours for the 2 of us. It also took a long time to get our drinks. I was only given 3 drinks in the amount of time.

    Great service and fresh food , very good atmosphere. One problem customers at the bar using profanity loud . Don’t know if anything could be done about that? I know that it’s probably not the restaurant responsibility

    Our server wasn’t that great. Wish we had a better waitress/waiter. We celebrated a graduation and wedding anniversary. We didn’t get a celebratiry dessert. Do you only do that for birthdays?

    We dine here often. Edamame had a terrible taste. Server knew right away and removed it from table. We are sure we were not the first customer to complain. We had the Wedge salad chopped. It was full of water. Such a disappointment. I usually give the restaurant 5 stars but not this time.

    We had out of town guests in for the holiday weekend! We enjoyed a fabulous meal. I looked in my purse for Tylenol for my friend, and took my wallet out of my purse. When we left, I had not put my wallet back in my purse. I did not realize it until we got home, several hours later. I called the restaurant, and was told they had my wallet. When I returned to pick it up, I saw my cash and credit cards were all in their place. I tried to give the cash to the manager to give to the person who turned it in. She said she would not know whom to give it to, and it was not necessary! Besides a fabulous lunch, with excellent service, we found honesty in the staff. I can’t say enough good things about King’s Fish House in Orange!

    Their Service is always Exceptional and this visit was no different. All of the Servers are working cohesively and bringing you all your dishes and drinks back to back. I always enjoy the ambience and the food is always delish! King's Fish House is the first place I think about when i want to enjoy a nice glass of wine with Oyster and ambience!

    Ordered the Miso Chilean Sea Bass. Portion of the fish, in the middle mostly, was a bit undercooked and not hot. Flavor was good. Service was ok. Ordered a soda, which I rarely allow myself to have, and didn't get a refill until I was finished with my meal. Wait staff only checked on me once, toward the end. Could've been better.

    We went with a group of 6 and were seated outside. We asked for a child’s menu and ordered drinks. We received our drinks quickly, but got no child’s menu and didn’t see the server for over 1/2 hour. Someone from our group had to go in and ask for service. While seating outside in the glare, we had to open the table umbrellas. An employee saw us struggling with it and came to help, hitting my head while he was trying to open the umbrella. When we ordered, our server said she was sorry she forgot to give us the child’s menu, so she just told us what was on it. After ordering our food, it did come pretty quickly. Seafood platter, clams linguine, lobster sandwich, fish tacos, child’s chicken tenders ( that looked and tasted like fish sticks), and the 3 veggie side dishes for a vegetarian. The lobster sandwich is not worth ordering. They cut a huge slice of bread in the middle, making a pocket. It got stuffed with dried, overcooked and possibly pre-frozen lobster pieces. It was awful. One of the veggie sides had sour cream on it, even after telling the server it was for a vegetarian. She couldn’t eat it because of the cream yet it wasn’t taken off the bill. The server even took the plate away seeing it wasn’t eaten. Our drinks were constantly forgetting to get refilled. Our vegetarian ordered only water, and the server kept forgetting to refill her glass. She even brought out an empty water pitcher, set it on another empty table next to us, and then came out and again said “I forgot.” These were our server’s favorite words. There’s something our server didn’t forget… our bill. I tipped 15% of the subtotal amount, which is way under what I usually tip. Three stars because half our party liked their food. But three of us did not, and the service was subpar. We will not be going back.
