Oh my goodness!!! This was a wonderful experience and the food and service were great. Sophie was our server and she was amazing! We had just gotten engaged and she took time to write hand written notes to leave on our table for when we arrived. We shared the appetizer jambalaya with shrimp and it was so good. We also had the catfish with crab on top which was surprisingly outstanding! Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the French quarter!

Every thing was delicious. Nicest meal we has during our stay in New Orleans (and we have eaten in very nice and tasty restaurants)

The service provided by our server was OUTSTANDING! She has a warm, charming personality, and was eager to get assistance to have a question regarding a sweet wine answered. The gentleman that offered assistance with our wine selection was very mannerable! This was our 2nd time visiting this restaurant while in New Orleans, and we'll definitely be back.

We went to brunch at Kingfish before visiting the aquarium. My daughter ordered the creme brulee french toast and it was amazing. Best french toast ever. My other daughter ordered the avocado toast which she enjoyed but thw home fries were a bit undercooked. My husband ordered steak and eggs, which was supposed to be tenderloin but was clearly sirloin tips. The flavor was good but it was not what the menu claimed. I ordered the jambalaya risotto. It was a small bowl of dry white rice with a tiny bit of meat and vegetables in it, not risotto at all. For $18 I expected much more. The mimosas and coffee were good. They weirdly did not have cold brew though. We probably would not return.

Table of 5 visited for brunch on Mother’s Day and had a great experience. This is my second time dining at Kingfish and the previous time was delightful (dinner)! This is a nice French quarter restaurant, between causal and dressy, food well seasoned, staff is friendly and accommodating, service is great, family friendly, kid friendly, and the price is not bad either. We ordered the Crème Brûlée French Toast as an app, Lt. Governor’s Breakfast, Kingfish N Grits, Governor’s Steak & Eggs, Blue Crab Omelet, and an Eggs, Toast, and Hashbrown kids meal, everything tasted great. A few cons are: parking can be a headache with the nearest lots being about two blocks away (the weather was nice when we visited, but consider this when it’s extremely hot or rainy). The glasses, utensils, and napkins were not clean. I always bring my own utensils anyway, because this is common at most restaurants. Likely to return.

Service was a bit slow at first but the manager came over and apologized and things then really picked up. Food was spectacular. My husband’s duck and shrimp gumbo was fabulous. I tried the boudin boulettes which I’d never had before and they were great. We both had the red beans and rice with southern fried chicken and it was superb.
