Went for Mother’s Day brunch, prefixed 3 course menu and we were there for three and half hours and only received 2 courses before leaving. It was obviously poor planning by management.

We waited 20mins before a waiter greeted us and took down our drinks. He made it known “he was not our waiter but he’ll service us” My daughter’s pasta was delicious but my steak hash was cold and dry. We arrived at the restaurant at 1:05pm and didn’t leave until 4:15pm. I understand that it was busy but it’s was disappointing to say the least…

Went for Mother’s Day brunch with a 1pm reservation for a set menu. Did not get seated until nearly 145pm, then the service was slow and extremely lacking. Was told in advance there was a $49.95 per guest minimum which was fine. Was NOT told there was a mandatory minimum gratuity which was NOT fine. I’ll be very surprised if I ever go back. I’d highly suggest finding other restaurants in Corpus, and for sure other options for Mother’s Day. Very very disappointing.

Food and service were very good. The cattle call for seating on Mother's Day was ridiculous. No less than 50 people standing in the entryway and in front of dining room waiting to be seated. I will never attend another group seating event at KATZ 21. Guests from the first seating should have been invited to move to the bar if they were not finished.

I brought my mother, my husband and 2 children to Katz for the Mothers Day Brunch, and was so disappointed. For starters, even though we reserved a table online, we were told (after confirming) seating was not available in the fine dining section, but moved to the bar. The bar area smelled rancid, like an old dirty bar mat. We were there for almost 3 hours, And there is only five tables in our section, with two servers. We had to repeatedly ask for water and beverages, finished our food before the server brought the hot sauce we requested. Although the main courses were, for the most part, very tasty, the desserts were not good at all. Our bill was almost $500 To include a $70+ gratuity. When I asked about the gratuity (since we only had a party of 5 and no where was gratuity advertised) she said the “+” on the menu meant that gratuity was included. We have had way better service at a fast food restaurant. We don’t get to all go out to eat very often, let alone to a place that claims to offer a fine dining experience so to have to spend that much money on the one day a year, a mom can expect a break, is not only disappointment, but very stressful to spend so much for nothing. I know holidays may not always be the best time to go out to eat, But we were the second family in the door and had the 10:30 AM reservation. We saw families that came in after us that went on the fine dining side, all leaving the restaurant before we had ever gotten our main course. In addition, the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, rundown, dirty floors, not clean. Our kids were also charged $5 for their sprites because I asked for a very small splash of grenadine to be added!!! $20 for sprites? Really? It would have been nice if that was communicated first. I actually asked for the grenadine to be left out of my hawaiian mimosa's, I certainly didnt have $5 deducted off the cost of those. If I could give this experience zero stars, but 4 out of the 5 of us did enjoy the main course.

We went here for a combined birthday and anniversary dinner, whicj did not disappont. The food was delicious but our server Wilfred was so amazing and very attentive and professional.

Easter Sunday brunch was a joke. We went last year and loved it (all you could eat and a couple of mimosas included.) This year was a three course meal and we were still hungry after. We paid $160 for breakfast and 1 drink each for 2 people. The service was slow and our waiter kept forgetting everything. We didn’t have forks for desert and after waiting for 10 minutes my husband had to get up and find a couple on another table. If it’s the same concept next year we won’t be back.

I called to make a reservation and the host requested we dress in business casual. As we arrived at the location the lights outside were flickering only creating K..21. This was already a strange detail that we found as we knew how much we were going to pay. When we got there we waited about 10 min till we were seated by the host who I assumed I spoke with over the phone. She was wearing a nice dress but had dirty tennis shoes on. This took me out of the fantasy. When we were seated the waiter came and we asked for drink suggestions. He didn't seem to be of age so we asked how old he was and if he enjoyed any of the drinks. He said he wasn't 21 and doesn't drink, but knew the espresso martini was good. So we requested the espresso martini which he responded with "Our espresso machine is down..." I was confused as to why he would offer this if it was down. Then we asked how the old fashion was and he said it's his favorite. But we already established that he does drink. He lied to us several times during the visit. He even said he doesn't get a lunch break and never eats here but he also said he loves the tomahawk steak... on top of that the food was bland and cold. The desert was was to sweet. The food and drinks were messy. Drinks spilt over the sides of the cup and food spills dried to the edges of the plates...Never coming back! Overpriced and terrible service. Not to mention the restaurant was dirty and in need of repairs and updates. It was such a bizarre experience. Not worth $200.00.

I had their surf & turf special. Ribeye with lobster and risotto. I order my steak rare. Many places over cook that. It was perfection! The lobster with risotto was a wonderful accompaniment. Our service was impeccable. This evening and every time we come here.

Great ambiance and great service. We traveled 1 hour and half to celebrate our 32 anniversary and it was worth the drive. My husband and I both ordered the 8 oz filet, it was cooked to perfection.

Katz 21 was the best place I've ever eaten at. I took a beautiful lady out to dinner for a date and I couldn't of picked a better place to take her. The food was amazing. The ribeye steak was the best I've ever had. The waiters and service where extremely respectful and waited on us exactly how it should be done. Endless selection of wine and spirits for the lady and even had beer for me. The drinks where great. Dim lit but not dark. Had a very romantic vibe and the other customers where very friendly and didn't get loud or obnoxious and just the whole atmosphere was excellent for a date night. It is a little pricey but well worth it. Especially if your trying to really show your woman a great and romantic time but still get amazing food. Thanks Katz 21 I will definitely come again!

Just had my wife's 60th birthday party with 60 guests and it went extremely well and my wife and I had dinner with some friends and the food and bananas foster was great.

First timer going to Katz. Just moved from Vegas. I was disappointed at first. My wife and I were brought to our table but nobody approached us for 12 minutes. I can understand it was super busy but the restaurant was just about 1/2 full, this was on February 15, 2024 at 630pm. John Livingston passed by our table and asked us if we have been helped. I told him that we were disappointed because nobody approached us yet even just to ask initially what we wanted to drink. I have never in my life waited 12 minutes before someone at least acknowledged us. I was impressed with John Livingston, he made a good service recovery after I explained to him that I was kind of disappointed waiting for 12 minutes an no one has approached us yet. He gave a good service recovery on behalf of your establishment by giving us something on the house. There were a few negative points such a server brought us something that we did not order. Another one was a soup that we ordered, the server who brought it out didn't bring us soup spoons. I thought that these people are probably just being trained. Other than that, the food was great. Jonathan's service was great and should be applauded for his great customer service.

We were lucky enough to get a table in the boardroom with the special entertainment. After being married a long time, we don’t need quiet romantic ambiance, we want to giggle and enjoy the evening. And we sure did!

VALENTINES DAY RUINED..Made a reservation for 7:00, they called and asked us to move it to 7:30 which we were happy to do. After arriving at 7:15 and checking in we were told they were just clearing the table and it would be ready in a few minutes…we waited 50 more minutes to be seated. Once we were seated we waited another 30 minutes and were never even acknowledged or offered a drink. I would understand if they were swamped but at this time there were 6 empty tables in the dining area. We got up and walked out and another couple was right behind us. I could not fathom spending $125 a plate after being so rudely disregarded. My husband has been working very long days in Corpus for months away from his family and he put so much time and effort into making this day special for me while visiting him. We ended up eating burritos in the hotel lobby ordered from Los Altos (which were amazing) WOULD NOT RECOMMEND KATZ 21 TO ANYONE!

Had reservations placed online for Valentine's Day 3 weeks prior. Was called a week later stating the main room was already booked but could sit in bar area at requested time. Was never informed it was going to be a pre fix menu during the confirmation call. Service was beyond what was expected. Reservations were for 715 and never even received our first course until 8. Considering the menu you would think that courses would come out faster. Where we were seated must have been understaffed. Needless to say we did not conclude our dinner until 10pm due to such the slow service. The food was mediocre considering the price. This was the first time I had been there because of suggestions and it will be the last.

We arrived at 5:45, with a 5:45 reservation for 2 on Valentine’s Day. The smuggest arrogant hostess I’ve ever encountered cut me off mid sentence to tell me our reservation was cancelled and she had called to inform me. I pulled out my phone, showed her my call log and asked her to point out her phone number, of course there was none. The manager whispered in her ear to seat us in the night club next door. Had we wanted to go to a night club we would have. Not only this but the terrible hostess in a tone reserved for small children that were in trouble told my wife and I that we had to literally leave by 7 because there were others with non-“cancelled” reservations that would need our seat. So after a few minutes in a booth in the corner of a bar I excused myself from the table and sought out the manager. Bottom line, I offered to pay her $500 to seat us in the restaurant. She immediately agreed. When we were seated my wife and I both instinctively counted the empty tables, I asked my wife if she noticed the 13 empty tables, she smiled and said, you missed the 3 on the other side of the booth, it’s actually 16. When we left at 7:45 ish, there were still 8 empty tables. The food was really good, the server was very good, the treatment at the door was ridiculous and the manager should not have extorted me. I don’t recommend this place at all.

Reservations for valentines. Seated at the bar instead with sportscenter reporting about shootings and someone's Spotify playlist. Waitress never checked on whether we liked the food. Steaks were great. Butter poached lobster chewy and tough. Mandatory 25 dollar tip per person on a 2 person table.

Katz is very inconsistent! We have had excellent meals in the past and have left 5 star Google reviews. Our service was great. This time our food was awful and far from what we expect and what we paid for. My Dads ribeye was tough, stringy, had no fat and tasted luke it had been left in the microwave. Absolutely not prime and the worst ribeye he’s ever had. He took it home to give to the 13 year old garage cat. My stuffed shrimp was overdone, dry and the stuffing was mushy and not hot. I had the same dish in December 29th and it was mouthwatering. My Mom had Theos Pasta and it was mediocre at best. The decaf coffee we ordered was old and cold and we didn’t even drink it all because it was terrible. The best part of the meal was the BLT salad and the bread. We love to go to this restaurant. We felt compelled to leave this review. Please improve!!!

We really like to go to Katz 21 for special occasions and when we want a nice dinner. The food was great. The Katz Meow is a fantastic starter. I wish I was better at remembering names, but our server was great and made some very nice recommendations. For a nice steak in a nice atmosphere, Katz 21 is recommended.
