I think this place is better in big groups. The sushi/sashimi was overpriced per piece. All the meat dishes over salted and over sauced. Service was great. Don’t go here for a Saturday night. Little disappointed.

The restaurant has amazing art on the walls. The seating is a bit cramped but very nice. The food was interesting with flashes of brilliance. The service was a bit smug (only out main waiter, everyone else was great) but relatively attentive. I do more than my share of fine dining. Plenty of expensive meals. The price exceeded the quality significantly and the main waiter pushed the more expensive items aggressively which was disappointing. It was an experience worth trying but I do not think I would return.

The food is very good. But it's not so extraordinary that you should need to take out a loan to dine here. Completely overpriced. Lots of wealthy UES families come here like most people go to their local diner. Meh.

I cant say enough about Kappo Masa and the quality of their service and cuisine. Combine the fun of its setting with the intense focus of a michelin star sushi restaurant in Ginza and that is Kappo!

My wife and I loved our lunch here. Beautiful dining room - we sat at the sushi bar. The food was creative and delicious. The service was crisp and efficient.

The quality of the food has fallen dramatically. It should not be given such a good rating on your app. I ordered miso cod which is a staple on their menu and it smelled bad and I sent it back.

This is a great fun place which I have dined at several times. As in the past, I expected the service and food to be 10/10 but it never hit more than an 8. Perhaps it was a super busy night which is why the servers were rushing around bumping into each other. I wanted every dish, both hot and sushi to be a 10, but they just missed the mark. A little fine tuning could go a long way.

I went first with my father, and the later with my wife because as sushi lovers, I just had to show her this establishment. As expected, it was a 5 star experience all around. It's hard to believe how much one can elevate sushi!

Had asked for a booth for my wife & I 15 year anniversary. Host simply said “Fully booked” definitely not the same experience I had last time I was at Kappo Masa, sad to hear June has left. Still definitely coming back, was a special occasion that could’ve been handled better. Seems like all memorable experiences in most places of service at this level are all not happening anymore sadly seems like efforts to know your customers are falling short. Have a wonderful Christmas to all the team at Kappo Masa. Will definitely be back in 2024 best -JimmyJam-

Host lacking high end service etiquette. After a $560 bill for 2 and tipping over $100 on top the 20 something host walked up to our table at 750pm (6pm reservation) and asked us to leave the table although nobody was there yet to be seated after us and other two tops were open and ready. Very poor etiquette
