I have been to Jacky’s many times; this was a disappointment, particularly because I brought a Chinese friend with me as a guest. The service was excellent, and was rewarded accordingly. However, the food and drinks were, in a word, tasteless. My friend had to ask for salt for her soup. My pad thai did not taste like pad thai—it was a huge bowl of noodles with peanuts; I am a cook who has a fully stocked international pantry and I took it home and made my own sauce for the leftovers so it wouldn’t be a total waste. My guest didn’t drink her cocktail after the first sip: she often ordered lychee mojitos, and said it was not worth drinking. My whisky sour, usually so good here, was off-tasting. The best thing was the gyoza, which I suppose were already prepared. The peking duck was flaccid. This was lunch, so perhaps there was someone in the kitchen who has no idea how to season food and no one at the bar who can make a good drink. But you are better off not being open for lunch if you cannot do a good job.

All of the sushi dishes we ordered were fresh and fantastic tasting. The view of Providence adds to the ambiance.

Never disappoints! Oysters, shrimp tempura, Northeastern Tiger Roll and cocktails! The robot singing happy birthday while delivering the crème brûlée with a candle topped off a perfect birthday dinner for my wife!

We had reservations at 1:45. We were 10 minutes early and got sat right away. Waiter was pleasant. But it took awhile to take our order and give us the bill when we were clearly done with our food. We had Bruins tickets for 3:05 and unfortunately were late to the game. We didn’t get any appetizers or dessert. And it was very busy in the restaurant. It was disappointing because we chose a restaurant in the city so we could be there on time.

Jackies Waterplace is the centerpiece of the basin of downtown providence. Great view,beautiful interior design,service is outstanding! Awesome place to see Waterfire right from any window.

We took two very special people in our lives for their birthdays which were a week apart, they were beyond impressed with every aspect of the visit, the atmosphere, service and food were exemplary and they had the best time which made our decision to take them there all worth while.

Always a lovely experience. Our server was attentive and professional. Everything from the apps to dinner to sushi were all amazing. The ambience is fun and romantic.

We always love returning to Jacky's Waterplace...we were there the first night they opened many years ago and it's even better now! Our server, Kent, has also been there from the start and is absolutely the very best!

Great fresh sushi in a terrific setting. Kyla was attentive to all our needs and exceptionally friendly and professional. Do put this spot on your list! but get a reservation as its often busy!!

Fantastic find in Providence! Great location with stunning views. Food was excellent and the waiter was super knowledgeable and very helpful with suggestions. The Gyoza was perfectly cooked and the sushi was the best we have had. 10/10 reco!

Ken was awesome and the two bus boys. There was another waitress serving someone else and she was great. Blonde hair pleasantly plump, sorry don’t know her name. Food was excellent.

Great atmosphere! The food is delicious. We ordered grilled sirloin steak tips, crab rangoon, dragon sushi, scorpion bowl and scorpion sushi.

We had one of the best meals with a great view of Providence river and skyline. This is now one of our favorite restaurants for Chinese food. It was a pleasure that they provide Valet service

The food has gone waaayy downhill. I am Chinese and I was so embarrassed to have invited 7 other friends to celebrate the lunar new year. The food was bad. Our waiter was extremely impatient and was rushing us to order. Service was also poor. We simply can never return. It Used To be better. No longer.

The sushi is always very fresh and presented beautifully. The drinks are fine including some non-alcoholic beer. The accessibility to Jacky's Waterplace is terrific as is the valet parking - a real plus. On several occasions, I have parked, eaten, attended a play or concert and then returned to retrieve my car.

Very nice restaurant in downtown Providence. Convenient location with free valet parking when validated by your server. Sushi is very fresh and beautifully presented.There are other tasty looking asian inspired dishes on the menu, but I have always opted for the sushi. Cocktails are very good as well. I recommend the lychee martini. So good!

There was a party for about 610 year olds in the private room, but the doors were left open and the kids were obnoxiously noisy and it interrupted our dinner

I had a wonderful time dining at Jacky's for a friend's birthday. Jacky's is great for group events and celebrations. The interior is modern, colorful and relaxing. We especially enjoyed the sushi combo dinners, pepper steak and creme brulee. The scorpion bowls are delicious, easy to share and a great value. One of my favorite restaurants in Providence. 💙
