    I ordered the 8oz. Lobster tail. It came undercooked. By the time I received a replacement my wife was done eating. The second one was prepared better, however the overall quality was lacking given the prices charged. The waiter didn't deduct anything from the tab. When the manager happened by, I mentioned the issue and she knocked $20. I would have thought that the whole meal should have been comped, but I guess that is not how they do business. Disappointing given previous experiences.

    The food was delicious but the service was by far the worst we've ever had, maybe anywhere! Delivery of the food was slow. The restaurant was not crowded, our server (older lady) never came back to refill our water glasses. We ran out. But the worst was, we ordered our dessert and 30 minutes later we still didn't have it and she never came back to say anything. We flagged down a lady who I think was the hostess. We told her, she said she would go check. The original server came back and said they had to make more sauce for the cake and it would only be a few more minutes. The hostess came back and said it would be about 20 more minutes. Nobody ever apologized. We reordered a different dessert. It was a very unpleasant experience. I honestly expected a compensation of some sort, but nope. J Gilbert has ALWAYS been our go to place, but if this is the service being given now with those prices, we might have to rethink this.

    The food was so so. Ordered the seafood grill and didn’t really care for the shrimp and the scallops were over cooked. Brother got he ribs and said they were ok. Friend took the carrot cake to go and said it was not very good. The bisque was delicious as usual.

    My boyfriend and I celebrated our 4th anniversary here and without a doubt, it was the best decision we could have made. We both agreed that this was the best meal we had ever eaten (though I'll be ordering what he had the next time we dine!). The table was decorated for us, service was attentive and kind, my water was always full (a big issue for me, so kudos to our server!), and they even threw in a free dessert to celebrate our special day. We took the cake and ice cream to go and even outside of the restaurant's romantic atmosphere, the dessert brought with it a sense of decadence and celebration. Hands down the best dining experience of my life and we will be dining here for years to come!
