A very classy restaurant, not to say you can’t show up in jeans. Our waiter was fantastic! He even offered to cut a sandwich in four pieces because one of our guests had a cast on her arm! The food was just ok, best liked were the crab cake cheese sandwich. The other two sandwiches were just ok, nothing special.

We went to Ivy for Mother’s Day dinner. We had been there previously about a year ago and it was great so we decided to come again, but this time was not so great. When we ordered our drinks we ordered wine and then we ordered appetizers, but the appetizers came before the wine so we’re still waiting for our wine. Usually the wine comes first and we already had finished our appetizers before we even got our wine. Second, there were several people that arrived AFTER us and we noticed they got their food before we did . And finally when our food finally arrived it was barely warm, not hot at all. Very disappointing sine we ordered steaks and pasta and they are not inexpensive. So it was a disappointing evening all around. I don’t think we will be going back.

The occasion was celebrating a birthday. The pepper shrimp, almond Brie, beet salad, and butternut squash ravioli were all fabulous. The pork chops were dry, and the ribs sauce was too sweet. The cocktails were some of the best I’ve had in a restaurant. The wait staff were very attentive without being cloying. It was very hard to hear each other; the noise level was incredibly loud, enough to have my Apple Watch give me a warning! I’d go back but would find out when the restaurant wasn’t so busy.

It’s a beautiful space, yet the food was basic. And while the prices are reasonable, the dishes play out as ways to save them money rather than serving delicious, special or memorable.

Love the restaurant and the food but we had a hard time finding our waiter (who would disappear). I think he was servicing tables upstairs and downstairs.

The food was fine but the server was horrible. We had to flag down our server to get her to come to the table. The food all came at one time and she didn’t return with something we asked for. The tip was automatically added to the bill and normally I am fine with that for a party of 6 but not this time. We overpaid for the service we received, by a lot. The restaurant need to concentrate on making sure they are staffed appropriately.

The ambiance is always great, great server. Thought the menu was somewhat limited, no specials. I had the Jambalaya and thought it was good but didn't remember it being as tomato based as it was. All in all we had a good time and a good meal.

We visit the Ivy Restaurant 3 times a year before attending the CSO concerts at Wheaton College. The Ivy provides top quality food in a beautiful setting with great service from its servers and owner.

Ivy is a beautiful restaurant with great staff. The only reason for my poor review is that the Parmesan crusted salmon was significantly overcooked. Everything else was great.

Ivy is a favorite for a special occasion or just a nice dinner with family or friends. Beautiful interior, and the lighted menus are a nice touch in the darkened surroundings. Food was excellent in both taste and presentation. Service was professional with just the right friendly touch.

Loved the atmosphere, the stained glass windows were beautiful when the sun shined. For the size of the restaurant, it has a very intimate feel. We all enjoyed our food; good sized portions that tasted great Will definitely be back and will bring friends and family with us.

We go to Ivy after the theater with the family every Christmas season. Food is wonderful, our server was very personable. They were not seating upstairs this time, we were a little disappointed. The hostess needs to learn to seat a little better. We were eating early, around 5, place was mostly empty. She seated our adult table nearly touching a table with a baby and 2 toddlers with so many other open areas. We requested to move after the kids were running wild and my husband was bumped with a high chair. Not enough to dock a review but would still like to address it.

Our server was great, and the place was very very busy! Holiday decorations were really lovely and cheery, and everyone there seemed to be having such a good time! We come back over and over from Aurora!

Always a pleasure. We were there for a family gathering. Server (Erin) could not have been more attentive and professional. She also provided us with several outstanding wine recommendations. Everyone was enthusiastic about their meals. We had a truly wonderful evening. Looking forward to the next time

I met three friends here for lunch. It was my first time at Ivy. The crab cake entree was delicious and packed with crab meat (can’t say that about some other restaurants’!). Enjoyed the great service and the very lovely ambience.

We went to Ivy to celebrate my birthday. We went there for my birthday last year as well, and I had the Butternut Squash Ravioli, which was fantastic. I'd been looking forward to ordering the same dish this year. I was very disappointed when it didn't taste as good as last year. After eating a couple of ravioli, I noticed a lump in the sauce that wasn't a piece of squash. When I took a tiny bite of it, I realized it was bleu cheese!!! I cannot stand the flavor of blue cheese! I ate a couple more ravioli, avoiding the cheese lumps, before the server came. When I asked if there was bleu cheese she told me there was gorgonzola in it. When I told her I abhorred that cheese, she asked if she could get something else, but I had already eaten half of the dish so I declined. Why would a chef think that gorgonzola would be a good ingredient in Butternut Squash Ravioli?? Every person I've told about this says the same thing. My husband ordered the pork chop. The chop was hot but the potatoes, apple slices, and sauerkraut were lukewarm so he sent his dish back. When he got it back, the pork chop was a little dried out, but the side dishes were very hot. We will probably cross Ivy off of our list of restaurants that we enjoy in downtown Wheaton.

It wasn’t a fine steakhouse. Food was ok. If you’re looking for a good steak or chop, go somewhere else.

One of the coolest things is their lighted menus! No need to pull out your phone to try to read the menu in the dark. Besides the cool menu, everything else was great!
