From the moment we sat down the servers were trying to rush us out. Really bad experience. They wouldn’t stop trying to get us to leave throughout our time in the restaurant, getting angry when we weeent ready to order, trying to take plates away before we were done, and giving us our check before we asked for it. The tonkatsy ramen was fine but nothing special, the gyoza dumplings the same, and the pork buns were bad. Do not recommend.

If you need a ramen spot with vegetarian and vegan options, this place is great. It’s a small but thoughtful menu. The food is very good. I was able to make an 8:45 dinner reservation, but I definitely felt a little rushed when they started closing the restaurant down. I wasn’t there much longer than 45 minutes. Overall, there are a ton of ramen spots in the neighborhood; if you have a veggie/vegan diner, this is a good spot.

Fabulous Ramen and delicious appetizers. Our apps included the fried eggplant, the curry cauliflower, pork buns, chicken dumplings, and spicy shrimp. All were perfectly prepared. The main course of Ramen was super yummy, as was the order of cold noodles. The cheesecake dessert was inhaled by all of us. Ivan Ramen is on regular rotation for us.

Our family loves ramen and we couldn't leave the city without trying Ivan and this take on Shiyo - we weren't disappointed. The small restaurant was packed. I was lucky to get a reservation a few days ahead of time for a large table for 4 in the back, outdoor covered area. Our temps were fairly mild and in the 50's but that area is completed enclosed and has a heater too. Food was fantastic!

We arrived 20 min early and we were seated right away. Very helpful and pleasant waiter. Super tasty food. I ordered the eggplant appetizer that has a sesame paste sauce. Also had the vegan shoyu ramen and added the mushrooms to the order. Very good. The Wai Wai IPA was perfect with the meal.

We live in Chicago and made a second trip back to Ivan Ramen. We both got the Tokyo Shio and it was amazing. This ramen is so flavorful down to the last spoonful. Run, don’t walk to Ivan Ramen!

Staff was super friendly, food was fast and delicious, drinks cold. We Ivan Ramen is a real gem of a restaurant. Fav Ramen in the city.

Food was great. Two guests were vegan and had good options. Beers were excellent and thoughtful. Servers was energetic, helpful and always there when you needed something. We had eggplant, pickles and salad to start. All amazing. Vegan ramen and chicken. Music was a little loud but it matched the energy of the space so I didn’t mind.

Perfect for a rainy day! No surprise it was packed. Good food, it came out quickly as well. A little loud but overall would visit again

Delicious food in a nice setting. We were able to bring our small dog on the back patio. Highly recommend.

Exceptional all the way around. The ramen brought us to Ivan’s and no disappointment. The service is extraordinary. Appetizers were delightful and out of this world, ramen as it should be, and dessert as perfection.

I had gone into Ivan Ramen with very high expectations, and they were met and exceeded! Incredible appetizers (we had the Japanese fried chicken, the pastrami buns and the crispy eggplant. The ramen was rich, the noodles were nice and al dente. Would highly recommend!

Food was excellent. Decor has a funky street art vibe. Great place to have a casual but delicious dinner with friends. Next time I want to sit outside. Cool mosaic on wall outside.
