This place never disappoints! Consistently delicious. They always have interesting salad specials. The best complimentary shortbread cookies and bruschetta starter. It’s intimate and romantic but also good for dinner with the parents!

Truly excellent food in a quaint restaurant that you could walk by a hundred times if you’re not looking for it. Every dish we had was individually prepared from an authentic recipe with perfect ingredients. It’s harder and harder to find a gem like this. Although we are not big drinkers, we enjoyed the bottle of wine they served.

Consistently excellent food and variety. Also love many of the specials — black linguini with shrimp, mussels in a tomato based shrimp sauce — one of the best pastas ever. The filet of sole in a Parmesan crust on a bed spinach was also outstanding. Nicest owner and wait staff. The kind of place you want to go back to again and again

This is truly a neighborhood gem. They had a huge crowd on New Year’s Eve. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. I had homemade pasta bolognese. Sauce was exceptional and pasta was cooked all dente. Owner Nick was lots if fun. Met him for the first time last night. Would definitely recommend.

Nice cozy neighborhood restaurant.(I come from Brooklyn) Very good food & sizeable portions. I had the red snapper for the 1st time.Delicious! Staff very accommodating & friendly.Reasonably priced. I went on Sat nite 6:15; nice & quiet w/two other couples.Upon leaving is when it started getting busy. Even though it is not a large establishment; it still is worth a nice dining out.You will enjoy.

Really had high hopes for this neighborhood spot, but sadly, we will not be returning. The appetizers (eggplant rollatine and minestrone soup) were decent, the drinks were good (but extremely overpriced), and service was friendly. Unfortunately, the entrees were extremely disappointing. My husband inquired about the preparation of the snapper, and was advised by our waiter (per the chef) to have it with a garlic sauce, because without it, it would be very bland. My husband agreed, but despite the sauce, the fish was still incredibly bland, and not cooked very well. What really rubbed us the wrong way, was the additional charge for this sauce - which the waiter conveniently forgot to mention. So the chef and staff recognize that their fish is bland, but still charges for a sauce that could potentially make the fish less tasteless? Ridiculous. Additionally, my pollo alla romana was inedible. The chicken was overly tough and chewy, and also bland - it was terrible. We will not be back.

The restaurant came recommended by a friend. But honestly I don’t know how anyone can think that the food here is edible. The mussels were very “fishy”, the chicken/sausage dish was salty. I definitely will not be coming back.

The food was extraordinarily good. Outstanding caesar salad and both veal dishes we ordered were also very, very good. We found it a little expensive but so are all the other restaurants nowadays. Excellent service.

Staff were highly knowledgeable, amiable, and made you feel at home. They provided the dose of Italy I needed. :-) I had the carbonara and my friend had rigatoni, which they readily added chicken at her request. The ambiance is very intimate, and sound level was very low, which is what I prefer. The only thing is I wish the year of wine was written on wine list “by glass”. Also the owner needs to have a team, once every 3 months clean the ivy and other decorations in the restaurant. The dust was palatable. However, the staff have such a discerning eye for hospitality and the menu. I will definitely come here again!

And upper east side gem… small, intimate, and overall delightful. Everyone in our party of six thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I especially liked my risotto with fruiti di mare. My wife’s order of lift soul was prepared perfectly. Everyone at the table enjoyed the delicious Chianti. The service was impeccable and lent to the overall charm. The most recent visit was our second time there, we enjoyed it as much, if not more than our first visit, and will definitely be returning.

A nice small, neighborhood Italian restaurant with traditional choices at reasonable prices. We were treated very well and the waiter was attentive. They played fun Italian music and a good playlist which was such a pleasure during dinner compared to some of the other Italian restaurants we’ve been to that play random music. The appetizers were okay … I thought too many w pickled veggies and could have used meow diversity in food selection. Also, the Caesar salad was okay… best part we’re the large shaved sky es of cheese but dressing good be improved. Average portions. The entrees were the better part of the meal. Tasty. The pasta was Ale dente… maybe too much so for certain people’s palettes. However, that isn’t unusual at some Italian restaurants. Ambiance was quaint—dark wood …. We had a cozy table near the window and was perfect for a late night meal.

This is a true Italian Classic of the old school variety. We rarely eat veal but had heard about how good it was from friends and it did not disappoint. Perfectly prepared Saltimbocca, tender pounded paper thin with an impeccable rich sauce. The bread was fresh warm and crunchy, We shared the home made Papardella with lamb ragu as an appetizer which was brimming with small chuncks of tender lamb and a bright a light tomato sauce, fresh herbs and moz..devine.. Deserts are classics and the tiramisu was as good as it gets.... Service is smooth and handled by just two staff... Only complaint is that the lighting is too dark to read the menu.... A great hole in the wall place that never falls short..We really Loved it. Please Tear down the Covid Cabin outside...its a musty mess
