While visiting San Diego on business, few folks recommended Island Prime and their sister restaurant CLevel. Island Prime was amazing! Great food, phenomenal service and stunning views!! Request seating near windows to catch the boats sail by and highly recommend the Brie as a starter. Chefs kiss!

Truly outstanding and amazing food. The lobster bisque was wonderful and the filet equally so. The view of downtown across the bay was as good at the food. Expensive but worth it.

Food, service, and ambience are great; but this restaurant tacks a 5% surcharge at the bottom of the bill. Not sure if I will return because of this. A restaurant should update their prices by item to balance their profit margin. Sneaking a surcharge is disgraceful.

It was me and my fiancés first time eating here and it was a perfect setting for date night and getting to enjoy the view of the city and the ocean! The food is outstanding and the workers were very nice and friendly! Definitely recommend!

We love Cohn restaurants and decided to try Island Prime before a concert. The service was great. We were seated far back so the view wasn’t a factor. We meal was meh - not what we usually experience at a Cohn establishment. I had the fresh catch which was bland. The tomato based sauce was bland too. Just meh. Brussels sprouts were ok but again lacking any flavor. Couldn’t even taste the balsamic. Maybe they are better at steaks and meat.

Once again and without surprise I had a stellar experience at my favorite restaurant in all of San Diego! I was most recently dining at Island Prime with my fiancé and our family celebrating our engagement of the same day. Our server was Enrique and he was beyond perfect, he made my family and I feel very welcomed, and even congratulated us! The food was impeccable as always, I got the 20 oz Ribeye with Mashed Potatoes and it was perfect after a day filled with nervous excitement! Thank you Enrique and the team at Island Prime for making our dinner special, we will be back again soon!
