Des hublots, des crochets d'ancrage et une énorme sculpture de pieuvre : l'énergie nautique est forte dans ce géant des fruits de mer. La cheffe cuisinière Danielle Van Steen met son empreinte sur des plats phares, tels que la moelle osseuse au tartare de thon et la truite fumée au sésame. We have dined here several times. The menu is not extensive but is very good. Service is excellent. Cost is a little high fir what is on the menu but still worth it.

Mother's Day dinner so not that upset at the slower service, our server was excellent in recommending dishes. Their "Ghost writer" aka Old Fashioned was great. The plump oysters were 10/10 with all the fixings. The fish and chips here may be the best in San Diego (and I've eaten plenty). For dessert the banana pudding had us scraping the sides trying to get more. Overall this dining experience has been the best so far this year! Thank you for the fantastic food and service - will be back with more friends!

Had a delicious dinner and wonderful time celebrating a friends promotion. This was her first time there and she loved it. Food was great as were the drinks. Kudos to the red haired gentleman Nicki at the bar for making us feel special!

First time, great!!! It’s a fun environment that offers oysters, caviar, fish dishes including octopus which isn’t offered a lot on menus! We sat by the “ bread” chef/maker at a fun counter, watching him prepare breads for next day was great plus the smell…yum if you love bread.

Service ruined the entire experience. The waitress stopped by every 45 minutes. We didn't have water or any drink for the whole main course because she never came to our table. Definitely the worst service I have experienced at a CH business. We are/were frequent customers but I am likely done after this.

The Oysters were great. The Lobster Roll was sub-par. Typically, you get nice pieces of Lobster but not in this roll. Fish and chips were outstanding. Don't fall for the Clam chowder and French fries, a bit of a soggy mess.

Delish West Coast oysters. Loved the pomegranate granita with them. The portions are large to share. Perfectly tender marinated grilled octopus was the highlight. The Japanese sweet potatoes made a simple veggie exciting. Our server Will explained the entire menu to help us choose. The place has a fun vibe. I was fascinated by the wall of fish heads So ghoul!

First time here and it was a blast. Great food and our server Tatianna was the absolute best. Gave us a layover of the entire menu and even offered different ways to enjoy some of the entrees, apps and oysters. Definitely returning!

Very nice, aesthetically pleasing sailor sea themed restaurant. Arrived an hour early to our reservation but was still able to get sat down inside. The decor and drinks menu are all brought together with nice ambient lighting. The menu is full of options, we highlighted the oyster selections and the lobster roll that was so good we ordered twice in one sitting. That’s where things flipped 180. Our server was not very attentive, seemed uninterested in serving me and my guest. We’ll keep her name out but that’s the only downer to our visit.

We had a late reservation and checked in early and it was 15 minutes after the reservation that we sat and there were many empty seats . The food was great and the ambiance is great . Loved the oysters and seafood dish

It is always a pleasure dining with Ironside Fish & Oyster! This time I brought two of my closest friends. I unfortunately had to modify my reservation due to last minute plans. I changed it from 6 to 3 people and even got there 30 min later. I was able to call the restaurant with ease and get my reservation taken care of by Maya. She was great! Once we sat down and started eating I cannot tell you how obsessed my friends were with the food. The highlight of the show was the bone marrow !!!! Omg it was to die for. We also had the pleasure of meeting Nico, the lead cook, Oxy, the general manager, and Alex who was our server. They were all very attentive and demonstrated how much they were happy to take care of us. We loved our experience and can’t wait to come back!

We had a difficult time getting a parking spot- finally went in the $25 lot behind the building. But it was worth the sacrifice… Ian was a waiter extraordinaire! All the food was delicious and flavorful. We will be back.

A couple of small hiccups with the service and timing of food coming out, but the server went out of his way to take care of things and make up for it. Overall, excellent.

Melanie our server was great, sat on the covered patio on a busy Saturday night and enjoyed the evening air. Delicious clam chowder and salad.

The Fish platter was great for sharing with a larger group. No one went hungry. The ambiance is nice, ocean themed decor but more modern. Sadly the oysters got us sick so always be wary for that.

Fun and delicious girls' night dinner! Mel, our server, was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We started with oysters which were delicious. At Mel's suggestion, we ordered the whole fish (which I think was a kampache??). It was phenomenal. The sides were delicious. Such a fun way to eat with a group. We'll be back soon!

Really enjoyed our meal. Menu was a bit limited but understand that they specialize in today’s fresh catch. Lobster roll, chowder, and two sides (mushrooms and broccoli) were outstanding. Octopus pasta was nothing special. Fun wine list. Great service. A bit noisy for our taste, and it was an early dinner on a weeknight. Overall, definitely recommend!
