This restaurant is amazing for many reasons. 1) Although historic (it’s been around since the 1960’s), the owners recently upgraded parking and the inside. 2) the menu offers a wide selection of delicious dishes at reasonable prices, 3) the server was friendly & responsive, and 4) also, if crowded there is a comfortable bar to share light fare and a drink. For lunch, I had the fresh crab salad grilled sandwich (perfect!) on sourdough with fries (I substituted w/potato salad). My friend had the fish & chips —composed of lightly battered fresh petrale sole and crispy french fries. If you like wine, the choices for a glass of Chardonnay were: Hess wine (house wine) and Far Niente wine. These are excellent Napa (CA) wines! We order a glass each of the Far Niente - cold & crisp. Our lunch was leisurely and satisfying. Highly recommend.

Some of your menu items are way over priced. Especially Steak Diane. We have been coming to the Iron Gate for over 30 years and your prices now are very high. The owner visited other tables in our room but bypassed our table which was wrong.

If you want an old time, Italian style place to eat this is the place. The waiters are amazing especially Magdy the owner. Everybody treat you with respect and make sure that you are dinner and your experience is the best. We have been going there since I was five and I’m 74 that should say something.

It is ALWAYS an amazing experience. Our server was outstanding (Steve). We have been dining at the Iron Gate for 40 years. We Love it!

We came for a special occasion after seeing a very positive review and it didn't disappoint. Carlos was our server and he patiently took us through the specials and answered all our many questions. We ordered the table side Caesar salad for two, the ribeye steak special and the NY strip steak au poivre flambe. The salad prep was fun to watch, but the results were spectacular: perfectly seasoned with sweet, crisp romaine - perfection! We like our steaks very, very rare and the kitchen listened. The ribeye was probably the best we've ever had - tender, juicy, grilled perfectly on the outside and rare on the inside. Garnished with garlic herb butter it was a delight. The NY steak flambe was a thick strip pre-cooked in the kitchen with the sauce prepared tableside and flamed - great theater as well as great food. This steak was also tender, juicy and oh so rare. We enjoyed every bit and took some home. Carlos brought a complementary birthday dessert of ice cream with chocolate sauce to finish a beautiful meal! It was a lovely evening and we will return to sample other menu offerings. But beware, this is not inexpensive - there apparently is a $20 sharing charge and a $60 per person minimum clearly printed on the menu - we had no difficulty in exceeding that amount.

This is a very special restaurant which offers a unique menu. Their flambé options are made to order table side. Their food is outstanding and the service is superb! The staff members are all very friendly and make you feel like family. I definitely recommend Iron Gate!!
