Our food and service was outstanding! That part could not have been better. The noise level in our dining area was the only negative aspect. There was a large group in the same dining room with us. They were very boisterous. It was hard to hear each other to have a conversation between two people at our table. Otherwise, it was a lovely evening.

Demetrius(I’m not sure if this is the correct spelling) was a phenomenal server and delivered us a great experience. As a service professional it was nice to see a staff that worked well together and delivered good experiences to the guests around them. Looking forward to my next meal at Irene’s.

Outstanding experience as usual! Soft shell crab special was excellent and they graciously tweaked the pasta sauce on it for me. Oysters Irene and Asparagus salad also top notch. Special touch was our server “Sugar Bear”❤️ Highly recommend - always wonderful!

Dinner at Irene’s is old-school New Orleans and by that I mean an elegant and charming atmosphere, exquisite dishes prepared perfectly, and professional service that is both genteel and modern. Michael was our server and was so perfect. An evening to remember.

Jonathan was a GREAT waiter! We have been here several times and the food is always top notch! Soft shell crab, wedding soup, while fish all amazing. Atmosphere is excellent and service is excellent.

My second time here. I’m In NOLA every other month and my 2nd time here. The food is exquisite ..I had amazing Cioppino tonight, and my server Michael was superb. Knowledgeable, kind, attentive, went the extra mile for me. I’ll be back on my next business trip

We just love this restaurant as it always delivers a wonderful dining experience. Excellent and prompt service. We started with the escargot appetizer that has a great mixture of mushrooms in the overall presentation. The Lasagna entree was absolutely fantastic with a tasty marinara sauce. Overall a great dining experience.

Loved it! Service was friendly and fast. Food was excellent. We ordered the meatballs (delish!) as an appetizer, watermelon salad (also delish!) which can easily be shared for two, lamb and fish almondine as entrees. All was S.U.P.E.R.B! We don't remember our server's name but she was good. However, we do remember David as he was so personable and an absolute delight to chat with. He also gave us both a set of beautiful bead necklaces. We sat at a corner table by the piano bar which was wonderful as it gave us an opportunity to enjoy the pianist who was also a delight! We highly recommend Irene's and be sure to make a reservation!

By far the best meal I enjoyed this week. The seasonal watermelon salad blew my mind. The drum almandine was exquisite. I look forward to making a return visit to Irene’s. This place is a must.

Our favorite restaurant in NoLa. Wait staff is exceptionally professional. Meatball appy is delicious. Great wine selection. Bread pudding dessert was wonderful. Noisy but it’s New Orleans

Food exceptionalism. Veal shank a must. Wife’s filet one of the best ever. Turtle soup Devine Our server, Hunter, one of the very best I have ever had the pleasure of meeting at a fine dining restaurant. KUDOS to the establishment and to Irene’s personnel!!!!!

Where to start with a perfect dinner, perfect ambience, perfect service, and a jazz piano player to entertain….. we started with the oysters with spinach, pecans and grapes – easily one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had in my entire entire life. We moved on to an extraordinary watermelon salad, exceptional. My husband had the fillet and some amazing scalloped sort of potatoes. Again, the fillet ranked at the top of the list of steaks ever consumed. I had the Cioppino - a spicy broth filled with more muscles, clams, scallops, shrimp, and fish than I could eat. We topped it off with an amazing cheesecake. Irene moved to the top of my list of restaurants here in New Orleans. We are resident here so we get to experience all the good restaurants whenever we want to and Irene‘s will be a regular. Let me not leave out the restaurant itself. The woodwork, the decor, is so old world. The courtyard is gorgeous and Paul, our server was clearly a professional.

Had a delicious dinner at Irene’s. Our waiter, Paul was outstanding with his recommendations and course timing. The restaurant is beautiful and the piano bar ambiance was delightful. Thank you Westin hotel for recommending this place!

We were disappointed that we did not receive the level of experience that other reviewers have reported. No bruschetta was given when we arrived. We thought perhaps Irene’s changed practice but then we saw others were served this as we were finishing up. Too late. Our food was well prepared and portions were generous. Nice cocktails and wine list. One item a bit too salty. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly but did not check in to see if we needed anything once we were served by a second server. Overall a nice traditional meal.

Small and quaint restaurant with a little Italian/Creole cooking. Seafood dishes are outstanding. Great couples place for dinner. We found this place by accident and would go back again. Recommended it to other fellow travelers and all had the same experience. If you are in the French Quarter for a few days, make this one of your dining spots.

We visit once a month and make sure to visit Irene’s each visit. We’re never disappointed with the food, service or atmosphere. You can’t go wrong and prices are reasonable.

I don't think about Italian food when I think of New Orleans, but this restaurant was highly recommended. We were not disappointed. Our waitress, Kelly, was attentive and helpful. Food was excellent. Intimate setting with choices of rooms or piano bar.
