First time dining here, and we WILL be back! Everyone got something different and everything was excellent. Now, with that being said, their homemade lasagna was to absolutely to die for! Customer service was excellent as well. Highly, highly recommend visiting this establishment, you will not be disappointed.

Rate all things high except the lasagna hit table at best warm. Ordered some more marinara hot hoping to heat the lasagna up but the marinara was also just warm

The atmosphere is great. Loved the look of the old school Italian restaurant and the period perfect music. The waiter was attentive and always around to check in. The food from appetizers to main course and even a shared dessert was wonderful. Unfotunately only room left to share some dessert.

Took my mom here for Mother’s Day because this used to be one of my favorite places for pasta. I’ll admit, I haven’t been in some time but didn’t think the restaurant would have changed much. The food was mediocre at best and I hate even saying that. It just wasn’t good. The short rib in my ragu was really tough and cut into giant chunks as opposed to being shredded. The service wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. I felt more warmth from the bussers and food runners. Even tried engaging in conversation with our server and nothing. No smiling, spent no time going over anything, no questions. Best way to describe her service is comparable to an Olive Garden or Applebees, think fast casual. I’ve worked in the service industry for so long and this is one of the negatives I’ve noticed post pandemic. Hospitality is truly dying. I tipped 25% plus a 3% service charge and it all just feels like robbery when you leave hungry and with no real hospitable service from the person taking care of you. Would never willingly come back here again, unfortunately.

Sat at a high top which we agreed to but didn’t realize it was basically in the wait station. I could have punched in my order from my chair. Didn’t complain cuz they were busy but there really shouldn’t be a table there.

Staff was friendly and has a cute ambience. The baked burrata lasagna is really good and is a special here. Order this!! We also got the pappardelle, it was ok. Have had better at other places.

Very good Italian Restaurant, the service is always attentive, good food variety. The only minus is the noise level. The music + the people makes it hard to communicate and enjoying the food.

Sat at the bar and had great service. Decent wine list. Grilled calamari was tender and sauce was good but a bit salty. Lasagna is excellent.

We first visited here during our first trip to Chicago in November 2022. Loved this place. Could not wait to return during a trip a few weeks ago. It was awesome and the food was great!

The atmosphere and food were just what we were looking for. Nostalgic decor and friendly staff. My husband said the ravioli al forno was the best he ever had.

Best birthday dinner ever! Food was incredible. The atmosphere was spectacular and service was impeccable. We loved Rose! Thank you for making this a wonderful dinner experience for my birthday and my family who traveled into Chicago for the weekend! Great way to end their visit!

The lasagna was so perfect and my partner got the chicken piccata and it was delicious. The servings were big. More than plenty. I liked the ambiance and our service was great as well. I would come back here if I’m ever in Chicago again!

We came here on a Friday night for the first time and had an amazing time! The food was amazing, we ordered the fried calamari and Tuscan cheese bread for starters and the rigatoni alla vodka and spicy scampi spaghetti for our entrees (highly recommend both entrees!) We also each ordered the Mediterranean mule and loved it. Our server was attentive and very sweet and gave us a Prosecco cheers since it was my birthday. Ambience was sweet and cozy and not loud at all. It’s perfect for a date night. We can’t wait to come back again soon!

Incredible service and vibe. Had one incredible entree (lasagna) and desert (chocolate cake) and one good, but not great, entree (pesto pasta). So, the highs were very high!

Went to dinner with the family and was very happy with everything. The garlic bread is a must, fettuccine Alfredo was amazing, and the Tiramisu was heaven! We can’t wait to eat here again!!!

We are from out of town and wanted to end our trip with a delicious Italian dinner. Il Porcellino checked all the boxes, and exceeded expectations. It was warm so the front of the restaurant was open to let the breeze flow. There are outdoor tables as well. The restaurant was packed, and so cozy. The interior had exposed brick and great lighting. The menu is amazing. We started with the artichokes piccata, and garlic bread. The bread was the best I’ve ever had. The bread comes out warm and sliced, then melted butter is poured over it. Main courses were Burrata Lasagna, Rigatoni alla Vodka, and spaghetti and meatballs. All highly recommended-especially the lasagna . Our waiter Axel was friendly, and attentive. I really can’t say enough good things about him. If you can, sit in his section. I’m not just saying that because of the gifted spumoni gelato.

This has become my go to Italian restaurant when I visit downtown Chicago. The atmosphere is nice. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. The food is great, from portion sizes and taste. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion to anyone who like Italian food.
