My veal scallopine with mushrooms has a sweet sauce . Not nice. Caprese salad and desert very nice.

Trendy and fun atmosphere.. however the food is sub par and portions are small. Not worth the price IMO.

We had a business lunch meeting there. Food was ok, good ambience. Staff was super disorganized with poor services. From the time we arrived, there’s no hostess available to check us in, we stood around and one of the waiters told us to wait in line. We told him that our party has already arrived/seated and that if he could take us to the table. He didn’t know what he was doing so he insisted that we wait in line to check in again. After we waited in line, the hostess said if your party is already seated then you can go straight to the table, we then got redirected to different places to look for our party. The entire experience just seemed very overwhelming and they didn’t know what they were doing. They had a very big menu, so when we were trying to decide what to order, the waiter seemed to be very impatient and he didn’t want to offer any recommendations on what was good on the menu. It’s our first time dining there and the over all experience was poor mostly due to poor customer services.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in LA. Authentic Italian cuisine (we have a seconda casa in Roma, so I feel confident to make this statement). I love the fish and the pasta there. They even serve gluten-free pasta for those with a wheat allergy.

Bon restaurant italien, expérience gâchée par une table voisine dont l’une des clientes nous a hurlé dans les oreilles durant tout le repas. Nous sommes restés polis mais aurions aimé une intervention du service afin d’intervenir. Disons que nous n’avons pas eu de chance et que la note correspond a notre impression sans tenir compte de ce dérangement qui a rendu la soirée moins romantique

En general muy bien solo que no estaba funcionando el Wi-Fi y la señal era muy mala.

Haven’t been to Il Pastaio since pre-Covid. Wow, holy expansion! Couldn’t find the check-in desk. Food was awesome as always but service was sub par. Never got a water refill, wine showed up half way into our first course. Yikes. Step it up. There were definitely enough servers and busboys around. No excuse for bad service.

Every time I go to LA it's one of my first stops! Been coming here for years and the food never disappoints! Last night my girlfriend's and I were having a girls night and wanted to have a nice and fun experience. The server already had a little attitude when we arrived. When my gf wanted to order her food a certain way and didn't want the mustard dressing on her salad and wanted balsamic instead he told her no and that he would put the sauce on the side and she could use the balsamic from the table. She wanted to order a pasta to go towards the end of the meal and he said you need to remind me. (Sorry, buddy but that's your job to remember to put in our Togo order. We are busy enjoying ourselves and spending money) At the end we ordered a dessert and didn't finish. My gf wanted to take the rest Togo. He went and grabbed a Togo box and bag and basically threw it at us. Like he was uninterested and we were bothering him. We then asked him to box it up for us because we were actually over his BS and him thinking it's okay to be rude. We asked if we could do separate checks or pay with more than one card. Rude about that. The whole time he acted like we were an inconvenience to him. Il Pastaio, tell him to get over himself, seriously! Food was wonderful though!
