L'établissement Il Corso a été fondée en 1993 par deux femmes italiennes indigènes du sud de l'Italie. Elles ont choisi de nommer leur restaurant "Il Corso" parce que cela signifie "le chemin". Leur but est de guider leurs clients sur la voie d'une expérience merveilleuse. L'équipe est fière de sélectionner les meilleurs ingrédients pour ses recettes. En plus du menu usuel, on offre des plats du jour que le serveur présente. L'ambiance chaleureuse et confortable de Il Corso est complétée par une sélection exquise de vins à prix modérés, un bar complet et enrichi par un personnel sympathique et compétent.

Friendliness and service were outstanding. Delicious cocktails and appetizers. The daily homemade ravioli were to die for. Buratta filled with a limoncello Prosecco sauce. Delicious desserts and coffee.

Your path to happiness begins when you walk in the door, are greeted and seated, extends through your cocktail, I thoroughly enjoyed a perfect Paloma, delicious and not too sweet, and continues through the antipasti, three of us shared a Caesar salad and their avocado and artichoke starters, dinner, we shared a half order of gnocchi, the lemon pasta and seafood del la mare, and espresso. The service, food, drinks and even the espresso were outstanding. Thanks to our server for steering us to the gnocchi, not at all heavy with a delicious porcini mushroom sauce. Even the Caesar was the best I have had.

My wife and I shared the beet salad, which was terrific. And the pastas that we ordered, tagliolini al limone and paccheri con crema …, were wonderful. Prices were fair, service attentive, and we each had a nice glass of barbera. Only the ambiance was a bit disappointing — we were in the back room which had very little character. But still, we highly recommend the restaurant and will certainly return.

The atmosphere is low key and lovely. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was not awful; it was just not very good. Best was dressed arugula that accompanied a huge but flavorless veal milanese. Worst was cannoli that was inedible. Nice that they comped it after seeing that one bite was all we could manage. I hate to ding restaurants but Il Corso was really disappointing. I hope it was just a slow "off" Monday night. Otherwise I don't know how they'd survive.

Dinner was completely rushed. Table booked for 7.30om. Was seated by approx.7.35pm. Ordered our food. The starters arrived within 3 minutes. Just put our knife and fork down when the main course arrived . We then ordered deserts and they arrived immediately. We were seated by Approx. 7.35/7.40pm and were out of the restaurant by 8.40pm We did not have time to savour and enjoy our food or the ambiance.. Pity. Nice restaurant but service too quick and rushed

Celebrated my wife’s birthday here. They made it a beautiful experience. We were very pleased with the most professional service and warm personalities. The staff was professional and responsive on every point. Our meal was delicious and the presentation remarkable. The beef short ribs were absolutely wonderful, and the presentation well worth five stars. Their wine recommendation excellent. We look forward to dining and celebrating again here in the future.

Great lunch at I’ll Corso! Birthday trip to NYC delicious food and nice service! We had the octopus and a mushroom and goat cheese salad. For our entree we had bolognese and the risotto and tiramisu for dessert.

Drinks, food and service were great! I’ll definitely be back. I had their corso caipirinha and fettuccine with mushroom and prosciutto in a truffle cream sauce and would recommend both.

This is an excellent Italian restaurant in midtown and has a separate room (where we 15 were) at the rear of the restaurant. The front of the restaurant was at a higher (though not disagreeable) noise level.

First time back in NYC since Covid so we wanted to see if I’ll Corso was still as good as we remembered and it was. I believe they have the same chef as well. Highly recommended.

Everything was delicious. Don’t pass up dessert either! Service was impeccable. Only complaint was noise level due to a party of 8 seated next to us. Not sure that is fixable though.

This is a perfect spot for dinner before or after (if not too late) a performance at City Center or Carnegie Hall. My husband and I have enjoyed the restaurant at other times as well. I only had the crab cakes which were large and very good with a tasty sauce. The service was very efficient and got us in and out in time for our show. The staff is very accommodating and nice.

This restaurant was fantastic! It's very small and cozy, so reservations are a must. the food was excellent, I had the cacio e pepe, which was served in a parmesean cheese bowl and husband had the pasta bolognese, which he loved. We went here because they give a 10% discount if you show same day tickets for MoMa, and it was literally a block away from our hotel. But even without the discount, this is a find in a city with tons of Italian restaurants. Highly recommend!

We were disappointed that we arrived on time for our reservation but were not seated right away. Two other couples - one late for a reservation and one without a reservation but who knew the manager - were seated before us. Even though there were empty tables, we were finally told we had to wait for a prior party to finish and pay their bill. We complained again after 10 minutes and were finally seated at an available table. After this negative experience, we were pleased that the service and food lived up to the ratings found on Open Table.

We enjoyed our dinner here very much. The food was delicious, we didn’t feel rushed at all and the service was excellent. Our waiter was charming and attentive throughout our meal. We will be back and we will highly recommend!

Wonderful food! The seafood risotto with black squid ink rice was unbelievable. Quite an emotional experience! Almost religious... My wife's food was also outstanding. Wonderful service by all the staff and the way the owner welcomed us and presented and explained the menu to us was exceptional. A very special restaurant we would both highly recommend!

Having just arrived in NYC, we started scouring various reservations apps for a place to have dinner. We found Il Corso had availability along with great reviews, and further research convinced us this was the place to go. It turned out to be a great start to our trip, and one of the best meals we had during our visit! A long and narrow space nestled among other businesses along 55th, we were kindly and promptly seated. It was surprisingly full for a Monday night. This isn't a place for "Americanized" Italian fare. You won't find chicken parm on this menu, which was a wonderful feature of the menu since my husband and I have both lived in Europe and prefer more authentic Italian cuisine. We chose the croquettes and a salad to start. The croquettes had a perfectly light and crispy exterior, and a pillowy flavorful interior. My husband chose the lasagne all'Emilliana, different from American style lasagne with its wonderfully creamy bechamel layer. I chose the paccheri con Crema di Pistacchio e Salsiccia- a large tubular pasta with crumbles of sweet Italian sausage and creamy mascarpone and pistachio sauce. There's nothing similar to compare this dish to, but it was absolutely exquisite! It's one of those dishes that you won't easily forget! There were so many dishes on the menu that we wanted to try, and we were very happy with the dishes we ended up choosing. The bread service is initially complimentary and comes with a pleasant dip of olive oil, garlic, and lentils! Again, not typical of an Italian restaurant in the US, but delicious.. and we couldn't stop spooning lentils over the warm, crusty bread. So good! There's an additional charge for extra bread, which is probably a good thing because you'll want to keep eating bread and lentils otherwise! The only, and very slightly, disappointing things were the desserts we chose. The ice cream on top was already melting when they arrived.
