Il Cantinori, situé à Greenwich Village, a été à l'avant-garde de la cuisine toscane à New York depuis son ouverture en 1983. Cette ancienne ferme dotée d'une chaleur rustique, de murs en stuc, poutres apparentes et arrangements floraux volumineux offre une ambiance romantique et élégante. Le restaurant combine les saveurs traditionnelles uniques de la campagne toscane avec un menu complet de saison, pour le dîner et le souper. Grilled scallops, ravioli and beet salad all very tasty. Pistachio tartuffo delicious. Antipasto at the start of the meal was on the house. Excellent service. Nice ambiance. Too noisy until about 900 pm--more tables in the skylight room than I remembered. A bit expensive but that's the state of eating out in general.

I’ve heard about this place for years and finally gave it a try recently on a Friday night with my husband. The service was honestly just odd and uncomfortable and ruined the entire experience. The food was alright but for the price and the rude/bizarre waitstaff, I can’t say I understand the hype and would not return.

The restaurant was lovely and the waitstaff was excellent, good variety on the menu u and everything we had was delicious. Perfect dinner in New York!

By far my favorite restaurant. The ambience is glorious. The food is perfection. The wait staff is so on point. I love Il Cantinori.

Salad of beets and walnut bland. Waiter haughty and dismissive. Wine recommended was fine, entrees disappointing. Pesto promised but not evident in vongole. Tomato appetizer good.
