The food is always excellent, and all the wait staff do a great job. There aren’t many old fashioned steak houses in the area, especially since Bullys closed. I also love the salads where they make it at your table. I have been going there for years, and have never been disappointed.

Has a great time with good friends and enjoyed as we have for the last 15 years good quality food and service. Janine our server again was an absolute doll. We requested and got her again this time.

We had a party next to us and it made it difficult to talk. After they left it was better. We should have asked for the booth in the back which would have been more private. We had a reservation so not sure why they sat us amongst very big parties. We were with friends who we only see once a year so it was our time to catch up but everyone was happy with their orders. The waitress was very nice and smiles and chatted. Very good service.

The bathroom smelled like a sewer. The waitress was rude. The food wasn’t up to par. Not a pleasant experience except for the company of our friends.

The food was very good, correct temperature, and great taste. The service was amazing. The timing was perfect. We had plenty of time to finish our salads and our entree arrived just as we were finishing. We were celebrating our anniversary and the served us a yummy chocolate cake. Thanks for a fantastic anniversary dinner.

We always love our family dinners at Hunter Steak House. We literally have never had a bad experience here. Bonus tonight our server Dina who has been there for 20+ years was just the best and we had promised to come back for our daughters birthday in a month because our kids love this place. It’s really hard to find a place where ever remembering your family loves to dine, but this is it for us so happy it’s not that far from home. But feels like home.

An update on my previous review. We went back to Hunters after Vacuumgate (see below), this time booking for 6.30pm. The whole experience was exceptional, and how I wish it had been on my birthday! Dylan was superb, and tended my multiple medical dietary needs with kindness and calm assurance. The wine was delicious, the steaks and desserts exceptional… the food and service were really outstanding. I’m glad that we went back. It was 5 stars across the board this time. Interesting how strongly one thing can impact a dining experience, positively or otherwise. (I’m putting Vacuumgate down to a glitch in the Matrix.) Thank you so much to Dylan for taking such excellent care of us. My previous review: The food and service was excellent, and the salad spectacular… it would have been a 5 star review but for the fact that the staff began vacuuming the floor around the nearby tables at 8.50pm, 50 minutes into our booked 2 hour slot. I have never had that experience in my life before, and it did spoil the ambience of my birthday meal. Just bizarre.

Restaurant is definitely out dated, which I didn't mind. I like the old school, dark dining experience, however it was old and dirty. They need to remodel it. Replace the carpet and floors because it smelled musty and gross. The food was ok. Pricey for the quality. I ordered beef tips with potatoes Au gratin with veggies. Never had potatoes au gratin cooked that way, but they were ok. The veggies were gross. It was pieces of green beans, not even the full green beans with shredded carrots. It was weird and gross, tasted frozen. The only good thing about our dinning experience was the server, Michelle. Super nice and provided great service. However, the food is not worth it and the happy hour prices are not good. Sadly, we will not be returning.

Food was great! Each of our party of 4 got a different main dish: filet mignon, rib eye, prime rib, & New York steak neil. All were excellent! Waitress, Deena, was memorably perfect! One con was parking (small lot, small spaces), but we, and many others, parked at the business next door. ( Perhaps the 2 business share that lot, not sure).

Hunter Steakhouse is not what it used to be. The food and ambiance has gone down hill. We will not return for a complete meal, but we will hang out in the bar for drinks and appetizers.

Excellent as always. This is my husband’s favorite restaurant and we took him there for his birthday. The restaurant did not disappoint. The steak is always excellent and we love love love the salad wheel.

Another excellent experience at Hunters. Greeted nicely by the gentleman host. He had the table requested ready even though we were 10 minutes early. We requested our one of our favorite waitress Janine and lucky for us she was working and he was sure to put us in her serving area. 👍 Janine does not disappoint after having her many many times. But of course all servers are fantastic. Food was excellent. Hunter Prime Rib cut, shrimp, bake potatoes perfect, salad bar at the table is always great with there homemade dressings. Thank you Hunter for a nice night out with friends.

First time visit, as was suggested by a few colleagues. Staff held the door as we entered the building, we were promptly seated as we arrived on time for our 7:30 reservation. Noticed the ambiance was low lit and well aged for my liking. As we were seated in the corner booth, noticed touch up paint spots on the wall and what seemed like exposed staples from previously upholstered booths. We were well dressed, as it was an anniversary dinner, felt way over dressed for the location. We ordered drinks, appetizers and 2 cuts of prime rib for our entrées. Food was well timed, appetizers and salads came out first, entrées were on the tables as we finished the small plates. The service was good...until it wasn't. The attentive need to check on us was often. Near the end of dinner, the server asked if we were interested in desserts, and we politely declined. The moments after that felt rushed to get us to leave, as we were still finishing some items and drinks on the table. Although polite, the small talk with the server seemed uncomfortable and unnecessary when dealing with the check. We were just looking to relax and converse with each other for a bit. Dinner was over in an hour and 15 minutes, a few tables left and the rest cleared out for closing time, so it was time to depart. Overall experience wasn't what I was looking for, Food:Good Service:OK Ambiance:Pass.

Have lived here for my whole life and never had been. The food was pretty good would definitely go back. Pricing is amazing and want to come for their brunch. We did get sat in this back room which was interesting not the best ambiance, but non the less service was great!

We will not go back to The Hunter Steakhouse, not a good experience at all. The hostess did not even look at our reservation, we requested a specific table and had to correct her. Service was slow, but there were at least 10 employees walking around laughing and talking among themselves. Two managers and an employee had a meeting right next to our table discussing hours and days on their work schedule. It was very rude. The server promised to bring bread, she never did. Our appetizer was forgotten, we had to ask for it. The whole place is very unprofessional from management on down. In our opinion, don't bother.

The only reason I gave only 4 stars for ambience was because we both found the restaurant a bit too cool. There was a full house when we arrived so it is a bit easier to understand the need for A/C but upstairs were seated soon thined out and we felt somewhat uncomfortable.

Waiter forgot to ask on petite steak doneness and turned in to cook as medium. Well it was overdone and chewy. Forgot to deliver 3rd baked potato and steak sauce. Then potato delivered with chives that customer had said no to. Of the 3 dinners , the shrimp dinner was the best. Big disappointment as I was treating my friends and thought it all feel short.

Ordered the prime rib was there specialty. Asked for medium rare got it medium and dry. Sent back got basically the same medium but with some juice had no taste and really fatty. Baked potato was small over cooked and Luke warm. Vegetables were bland and the beans tasted and looked like they came from a can. The salad was good and app was ok would not go back spent over $100 for 2 people with no alcohol.

We had a delightful dinner with friends, and the service was wonderful, food very good.
