                                                                                                              Had another great night out. Homfire Grill is my favorite place for a special occasion or a nice dinner out with friends and family.

                                                                                                              My second time coming here (and the others I dined with have been a few times as well). However, they decided to have a Mother's Day Buffet, which turned out to be a real disappointment given their normal menu. Basically, hotel breakfast foods and a bland turkey dinner for $45/person. Really felt underwhelmed by the whole buffet considering they are known for having interesting wild meat menu items. This was everyday "Denny's level offering" at a ridiculous price. Service was bad. Our waitress avoided us after giving us water, cashed everyone out at the tables around us, and then went to clean some glasses by the kitchen for some strange reason (?) instead of coming by us. So we went to try out the buffet after getting tired of waiting. After we were well into our meal, she then decided to check up on us. I asked for a drink menu as one was never offered but clearly others around us were getting drinks. Our whole table would have had a drink or two, but since we were never offered a drink menu or visited by the waitress until well into our meal - only two out of four ended up getting a drink each. Also one person was served a cold tea pot, while a second person had a piping hot tea pot. Honestly, not sure what was up with the restaurant as we have all separately been to this restaurant a few times and had good experiences - hence why we came. This time was a real letdown and is making me reconsider if I ever will visit again. :(

                                                                                                              Homefire Grill is a great location , kind of hidden away . Food was presented well .The only item , after advertising on their menu ; Elk Lasagna / Bison Meatloaf , I was expecting a unique flavor and I didn't find it ?? I know as a CHEF and working with the product in the past , it is very lean so it needs moisture of some sort to complement it . I might suggest putting a Elk or Bison Steak on the menu . Did not have a chance to try the Bison Stew . I will be back !!!

                                                                                                              overall it was good. Food was tasty. Only problem I found was service was a little slow coming to the table and the waitress brought the wrong wine that we had ordered.
