Ate outside in small courtyard, very lovely and quiet, nice ambiance. Excellent service. Mussels were excellent, BBQ shrimp wasn’t great (a bit rubbery). Burgers good, cooked to requested temperature. Felt a bit pricey for the sophistication and quality of food, but considering also nice wine list and and ambiance, I will still happily return.

Pros: We enjoyed delicious meals including Haven Burger, Cobb Salad w/ Shrimp, Trout, and Peri Peri Chicken. Our waiter was great, both knowledgeable and entertaining. Desserts: Banana Pudding and Mixed Berry Cobbler. Cons: Southern Cheese Plate needs some type of accompaniment of jam/fruit or mustard and pickles. The grilled artichokes appetizer lacked flavor and were undercooked.

As usual all of the food was amazing. I usually can't make it to dessert but did and the carrot cake!!! So good, probably the best I have ever had-save room!

Haven is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is outstanding. We made a reservation 2 weeks ahead to sit in their outside patio. The day of the reservation they called to say we would be seated inside because of the weather. In fact, they had a huge event for the Kentucky Derby clearly planned well ahead of our reservation. This filled their patio space and much of the inside. The restaurant was mobbed. People were crowded around our table standing directly over us. The noise level was extraordinarily loud. We could not talk to each other over the noise. The bathroom had a 15 min wait. We would have made our reservation on another date had we known about this huge party. They should not take reservations if they already decided to fill the restaurant wall to wall for a party. We decided to go elsewhere for coffee and desert. Yes, we will go back, but we were disappointed they were not forthcoming about this party and our reservation on that day.

The food and experience were amazing. We sat on the patio and there was live music which was lovely, but we found it a little loud. We probably should’ve sat inside but it was such a nice night. Over all this was absolutely wonderful and we will definitely be back!

As always the butter lettuce salad was outrageously delicious. The halibut entree was excellent as well. Continues to be a neighborhood gem.

Haven is usually our go to family spot if we want to celebrate anything, so we went for dinner to celebrate a birthday. The staff was excellent, but a filet was overcooked. The waiter saw this himself and kindly replaced it, but when it came back the twice baked potato was cold inside. Kids chicken fingers also had little to no flavor (needed salt) and my tortellini was quite undercooked. In the end, we didn’t complain, but it was disappointing given the price point. The waiter comped a glass of wine on his own. He was amazing, but sadly this visit the food was a miss. We also got sat right next to the waiter prep section which was not ideal, especially for a special occasion. We’ve had good experiences there before, but this one was disappointing.

This is my second time visiting the restaurant and like the first time I was there it did not fail to impress. I can’t wait to return to enjoy the quality cocktails and well crafted meals!

Attended Escape room next door. Haven and Valenza are sister restaurants, both are quite good. Had the chicken peri-peri and a hamburger, both well prepared. VG neighborhood gem.

Loved our dining experience at Haven. I have dined here before and was not disappointed. Was happy that my guest was impressed with the dining experience. We had the evening special of Red Snapper served with Salsa Verde over crisp potatoes and a spinach/strawberry salad. Devine. The wait staff was professional and knowledgeable of the menu. They checked on our table appropriately and were not intrusive on our conversation which is so important when you are dining out. Thank you, Haven. You are indeed a haven!

We had a wonderful dinner! We were able to have conversation without screaming and the food was superb. Absolutely the best grilled artichokes ever! Our waiter was attentive and did not rush us. (I did request a quiet table ahead of time).

The dinner and setting (outdoor patio) were great. It was a Saturday night outing, so the noise level was appropriately elevated but, for the day and time of day, not too bad at all. Our server was excellent but he had too many tables starting about halfway through our meal. I don't know of someone called out or if the restaurant was a bit off on their staffing level, but it was noticeable. Again, though, it was a very nice dinner and I would recommend going.

The trout is consistently excellent. We ordered the Lemon Ricotta pasta and added mushrooms. It was excellent! Noise level inside was very high so if you want a quieter experience sit in the covered heated patio.

Our server would not work with my husband, who does not eat eggs. We chose Haven for brunch because your website menu had breakfast sides and a lunch menu. When my husband asked to order a side of bacon and fruit, our server said Haven was serving only off the Easter Brunch menu, as it was printed. As other guests came, and were seated around us, we found that they were allowed to order sides. It was unfortunate our server made ordering difficult. Beyond that, we asked our server why there was a terrible stench close by, and he proudly proclaimed, “Oh, that’s the grease trap next to you.” Our experience was a disappointment all the way around.

it had been a long time since I was there. Had a tomato soup that was pretty good. Followed with Piri Piri chicken that was just ok,nothing special. Place is nice with small bar sitting and a nice patio.

We had another great time at The Haven. Shannon, our server was super and helpful in selecting wine and entrees. Our appetizer/small plate of grilled artichokes was ok—presentation was bland and the artichokes didn’t really seemed grilled and the creamed ricotta was a bland—paprika or cayenne would have helped plus add some color like red bell pepper. The entrees were very good—sautéed trout and grilled Hunter pork chop…looking forward to our next visit.
