The waiter recommendations were spot on and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience. We found that the price/ value ratio was reasonable. Will definitely return.

                                                                                                  The food and service was outstanding. I had the tilefish and it was phenomenal. My companions had the scalibut—combo of halibut and scallops, and a creole fish dish. The bread pudding was absolutely delicious. Marlon, our server was incredibly knowledgeable and gave the spot on recommendations. Will go back to GW Fins and request Marlon as our server anytime!!

We were not only celebrating Mother's Day but also our 4th anniversary. We arrived and were seated at our table complete with glitter on the white tablecloth and our menu personalized with our name. The service by our waitress "Noel" was outstanding and the food exceeded our high expectations!! The recommendations for the appetizer (lobster dumplings) and entree (Scalibut & Herb crusted flounder) were a home run as was the dessert (Salty Malty ice cream pie) and complimentary chocolates. A truly memorable experience in the Big Easy!

I brought my mom and aunt for Mother’s Day lunch, both their first experiences. Aaron, our server, was amazing! He kept on top of all our needs, giving exceptional service. The food was amazing, apps included lobster bisque, Finn’s wings, and lobster dumplings. Entrees included soft shell crab and Parmesan crusted sheepshead. And for dessert we all had a salty malty, my absolute favorite. I’ll return to dine at Finn’s for sure, and hopefully I’m able to have Aaron as my server.

Just simply mentioning that it was my birthday while making reservations had us arriving to a table covered in glitter and a menu with a personalized header. Our waiter Aaron was incredibly knowledgeable about the offerings that evening and the whole team made sure we had a wonderful evening that included a rendition of the birthday song at table side! Our only complaint is that GW Fins is a 3 hour flight away!

                                                                                                  GW Finns was outstanding as always. I LOVE GW FINNS! My husband and I were there celebrating our 32-year anniversary. We started out with Snapper Ceviche. GW Finns adds habanero sorbet to snapper ceviche which is unexpected but so incredibly tasty. For entrées, my husband ordered Sea Scallops which were absolutely amazing. Usually, he orders steak as he says GW Finns has the best steak he has ever had but this night, he was in the mood for seafood. I ordered Soft shell crab, which was served with maque choux, green beans & sweet potato hay. Absolutely outstanding! We followed our dinner up with Salty Malty Ice Cream Pie. I wish someone in Austin had this Salty Malty Ice Cream Pie!

                                                                                                  We started with the Ponchatoula Strawberry salad which was a very tasty combination of flavors. For our entrees, my husband had the scalibut and I had the herb crusted drum fish. Both entrees were excellent. For dessert we shared the chocolate mousse bombe which was to die for. Service was excellent and courses were timed well. Overall we had a great dining experience and highly recommend this restaurant.

                                                                                                  Food was incredible, no notes there. The staff were very obviously well trained, and worked extremely cohesively with each other to make sure no steps of service were overlooked. With that said, the one negative note of our dinner was the fact that our actual server never once checked in with us to see if we were enjoying everything. Not for our cocktails, not for our starters, and not during our main. If they were slammed I could understand this better, but he definitely had the time to spend checking up on the tables to the sides of us that had ordered expensive bottles of wine, so it seems pretty clear that in not doing so, we became irrelevant to him. He was friendly enough when we did interact with him, but every guest should be treated with the same level of consideration, always, especially considering the vast amount of great dining options in NOLA. I hope some of the tip we left made it to the support staff, cause they were excellent.

                                                                                                  GW Fins continues to exceed expectations. On our recent trip to Nola, we visited GW twice because once was just not enough! Every item is beyond amazing - and every night you will find a new mix of mains depending on what fish they can get freshest. Coming from nyc, I wish they would open a branch in nyc where we certainly are not starving for good food

                                                                                                  Staff were wonderful and the food was amazing! Lobster bisque yummy, scallops delicious and soft shell crab was bigger than I anticipated and was delicious too!

                                                                                                  The menu is robust especially with excellent seafood choices. Local fish in a boulabaisse was exceptional as was Parmesan crusted grouper. Strawberry salad was delicious and unusual ; Large enough to share. Wine list was large including many fairly priced bottles of very good wine. Loved sitting in a booth for easy conversation. Vibe is energetic but sophisticated. Highly recommend.
