Never had dinner where we had to ask for our food Togo when main entree was not out yet. We order a 10oz rib cap and it took over an hr n half and still had not come out yet. But other table of 6 came in 20 mins after us and all of them got their food before us and the steak was still not out yet. Manager came over n explained to us that they spaced out the entrees but an hr n half? That’s a long wait in between. We ate here before and had a great experience but not this time around. Don’t think we will be coming back here again.

You must eat at The Grove House the Steaks are delicious, the bread their soup , and the domestic beers are only $5.00 The Restaurant is so elegant and the Staff is very professional.

Service at the new Grove Steakhouse is not as attentive as it was in their old venue. We got water at the beginning of our dinner and could not get the attention of anyone to refill our water glasses until after we were served dinner. I had an issue with my entree. I always order the seafood pasta because it’s always creamy and delicious. Yesterday the sauce was watery and flavorless. The chef was gracious enough to come and ask me about it. The other food we ordered was fantastic. I highly recommend the steak salad. Overall, we will definitely return to the Grove but on a night they have more staff to accommodate their diners.

We’ve been to the Grove steak house at Viejas about 40 times in the 8-9 years. Always a great time. Had reservations this past weekend and not so great. Took 30-40 minutes between salad and main course. Asked to just box it to go. Floor manger checked in to asked if everything was ok. We said yes, but the timing was off this time. He leaves and comes back with actual print outs with time stamps. He wasn’t trying to deescalate or apologize but was trying to prove me wrong. Was rude and not professional. Not the end of the world, but he might need a refresher in customer service.

New 'temporary' location is too large of a space and results in long wait times for food service. Fortunately, the staff (as always) is exemplary and forewarned of the extended wait time, but entree orders took much longer to arrive than in former restaurant location. Food was great but we likely will not return until the new permanent location is complete.
