The vegetarian selections were excellent, the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. All in all a very enjoyable evening.

We had to wait for our table for almost 30 minutes. The table was close to the kitchen and there was a strong draft so that we had to put on the jackets. My wife ordered a glass of wine, and the waitress brought in 1/4 of a glass. We paid $14 for this wine. We’ve been to this restaurant before but that was the worst experience we’ve ever had. Very disappointing!

Server was disorganized and not very knowledgeable or helpful. Food was disappointing-chicken cutlet was so dry I couldn’t cut it with a knife and the spaghetti was clumpy and overcooked. Really disappointed.

Exceeded expectations for a hotel restaurant. Food was indeed very tasty Having a variety of Grappa’s make the experience fun and unique.

Our first time here. The service was very good, the surroundings are nice and open. The shrimp starter consisted of warm shrimp over cold polenta. The side of broccolini was cold when served and not any better after we sent it back. The carbonara was excellent. They were also having trouble with their coffee maker as both regular and decaf were served tepid at best. I think that the shrimp entree and the broccolini would have been good if served at a proper temperature but overall this was an expensive meal for the quality. We will give them another try because of the excellent service and the atmosphere (and the carbonara).

Grappa was very welcoming and accommodating for our party especially since we were celebrating a 21st birthday. The food was good and our waitress was so kind!

Five Star service on the day of the eclispe. Wait staff was friendly and prompt. Management visited the table on several occasions to insure that all of our needs were being taken care of. The food was outstanding. It was cooked to perfection. Without a doubt the salmon I ordered was prepared, marinated and cooked just right. It had to be the best that I've had in many years. I was most impressed by the service since it was the eclispe. The previous two restaraunts that we had dined at while in Rochester were short of food, staff, and service due to the volume of diners that the eclispe brought too town. This was not the case with Grappa. It was evident that they were well prepared for the volume of business that the eclispe brought in. It was a pleasant surprise.

The overall experience of Grappa is nice. The decor is sleek and it's well lit. The server was lovely, but not particularly attentive and that's ok. I prefer not to be asked every 5 minutes if we need anything. Food was good, not great but fine for our purposes. The thing I couldn't get passed was the tiny table. Our party was 3 adults and we were seated at a small round table that felt like we were at the kids table. And the chairs don't allow for bags or coats to hang on them so they were on my lap. Nothing major, but something to note. It also felt like more tables could have fit in the space. It's not cozy but it doesn't have to be - just let me sit at the adult table next time.

Dinner for three. Ordered: 2 apps (fagioli soup and meatballs) Caesar salad Chicken cutlet w ala carte side smashed sunchokes. Veal parm. Pasta bolognese - Soup good -meatballs needed knife and dry as sawdust. Came w 3. We ate 2. Not good. - chicken cutlet overcooked and dry sunchoke side good - veal parm good however the marinara was watery and just meh. - Bolognese was good. Overall food was marginal at best for price point. The real issue was the service. All food above was brought together all at the same time. Both apps, salad and all three entrees were brought out by 3 servers. When I voiced my displeasure our server said oh you didn’t want all of this as your appetizers? Ummm, what? No. Her response was oh sorry for the misunderstanding. Maybe it’s a Rochester thing to order 3 courses and have them all come out at same time and cover the entire table like a Las Vegas buffet. But I doubt it. This is my first OpenTable review this low. Will not be back. At $183 before tip for the above go elsewhere. This place won’t last.

We had a great lunch. Food was excellent. Service was terrific. However, the hostess came over to ask if we liked our meal about 5-6 times. It was extremely disruptive. Felt like we had to be in the look out before we took a bite of food - we weren’t sure if she would be coming to ask us if we liked it! Super annoying. Have the hostess stand behind her podium where she belongs.

Nice competent waitress, very attentive but not in the way. We all ordered basic dishes, but they were quite good, arrived hot and tasty. The 2 serving apple pie desert was awesome, overall a great dinner at a nice place

We came in for date night the night before Christmas eve. We were greeted with smiles from your staff at the front desk. Our server was was friendly and pleasant. The food was delicious! We had a wonderful time at your restaurant!

Pasta is too Aldente. The smoked turkey panini was not what was described. My small plate Pasta carbanara was too expensive for the size. Service was good. Would not return.

Great food and service. Would go again. The brussel sprouts with pickled onions in balsamic vinegar was very tasty. The port wine on the dessert menu was excellent.

Over all bad food. Pasta over cooked, calamari was tough. Service was poor during a slow time in the dinning room. The bar was nice. Great bartender, John. We will not be returning .

Food was good with okay portions, but service should be much better. Got sat for our 6:00 reservation, got a bottle of water brought about 2 minutes later, then no wait staff for at least 15 to 20 minutes. A manager who was bartending came over after seeing us look around to see if we had questions and ended up taking our order. The restaurant was not busy being a Wednesday evening so there's not really an excuse, just not sure who's at fault. Whether the hostess did not tell the proper waiter or what I don't know. After waiting for so long you'd think something would've been comped or something would be given to entice us to come back but I guess not.
